"Born To Hula" ist eine Dreimann Combo. Jo verhaut die Drums, Fipps schrotet auf seiner
Klampfe, gibt´s dem Mikrofon und schwitzt, während Rangar seinen Donnervogel bändigt!
Frisch zusammen gekommen, erweisen sie dem Rock die Ehre, lassen die Sau raus und die
Kuh fliegen. Jo und Fipps haben bei "Stranglehold" und den "Krøvers" ihren Dienst getan. Die
drei Burschen blicken auf über 10 Jahre aktives Musikerdasein zurück, aus dem sie mit aller
Kraft schöpfen. "Rough´n´Ready Rock!" so die Ansage. "Born To Hula" brettern durch´s Set,
machen ´ne Vollbremsung, das Heck fliegt weg und sie donnern grinsend weiter Richtung
Sperrstunde…

Various references spring to mind when hearing the name 'Born to Hula'. Actually, this was the
bands intention. One could say that the sound is reminiscent of QOTSA and mister Bjork, but
this rediscovery of the scene is certainly no simple copy. Rather, it approaches it in new ways,
celebrating groove rock, blues vibes and rhythm n' drive in the process. This comes across in a
really visceral way, stirring the blood and clearing the mind. There is no doubting the fact that
these riffs will leave a lasting impression.

"They Sound like their influences but that´s a good thing with a little bit of Karma to Burn
thrown in for good measure. "Marrakech Trippin´" is a storming tune with a really dirty guitar.
Nice. Born to Hula have all the musical ability to turn into a great fucking band. This EP is
pretty cool. Not including the intro, "Sunset Radio" is a 3-track cd packaged in the best cover.
The cardboard is sewn together and has a good 70s brown and orange theme with lovely blue
flowers going on. I like it."
