The course content corresponds to the B2 level of the Common European
Framework of Reference for Languages, the level at which learners are expected to be able to communicate with fluency and write clear detailed text on
familiar subjects. The main topics are applying for an internship, workplace
perks, customer service, retailing, international trade, and production. The
course focuses on written skills, including CVs and covering letters, business
emails, complaints and responses to complaint, and also deals with telephoning.
The course is designed to provide students with a wider range of specialized

business vocabulary and expressions concerning the above-mentioned topics,
objectives
and with improved communicative competence for the business environment,
especially in terms of writing and dealing with customers. A further aspect of
the course is Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), where language
and business content are taught together. CLIL prepares students for the international working environment and the study of non-linguistic business subjects
entirely through the medium of English.
