Arrive Torquay INTRODUCTION TO HOST FAMILIES and an opportunity to settle into the
English ‘way of life’

ORIENTATION MEETING discussing the programme and book optional trips
Afternoon Activity: GUIDED WALKING TOUR of Torquay town centre, harbour and beach

09:00-10:30 & 11:00-12:30 LESSONS
Afternoon Activity: SPORTS for example: Volleyball, Football, Rounders
19:30 QUASAR – a fun laser game played in teams
Wednesday
09:00-10:30 & 11:00-12:30 LESSONS
Afternoon Activity: Boat trip across Torbay to BRIXHAM
Optional Evening Activity: Pizza meal at a local restaurant
Thursday
09:00-10:30 & 11:00-12:30 LESSONS
Afternoon Activity: Swimming at English Riviera Centre
Optional Activity: Go-Karting
19:30 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT DISCO
Friday
09:00-10:30 & 11:00-12:30 LESSONS
Afternoon Activity: Tennis or Crazy Golf
Optional Evening Activity: Boat cruise around Torbay – see the illuminations
Saturday
Full day excursion to DARTMOOR visiting Haytor and Widecombe & PLYMOUTH-The
Barbican, The Hoe, City Centre. Optional visit to National Marine Aquarium
Sunday
‘WALKING RALLY’ Answer questions about Torquay with prizes for the best answers
or Optional PAINT BALL game or Optional visit to PAIGNTON ZOO
Monday
09:00-10:30 & 11:00-12:30 LESSONS
Afternoon Activity: SPORTS for example: Volleyball, Football, Rounders
20:00 10 pin Bowling, try to get a ‘strike’ 10 down in one go!
Tuesday
09:00-10:30 & 11:00-12:30 LESSONS
Afternoon Activity: Walk to the village of COCKINGTON
Optional English Cream Tea – Scones, cream, jam and tea – we say ‘yummy’!
19:30 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT DISCO
Wednesday
09:00-10:30 & 11:00-12:30 LESSONS
Afternoon Activity: Excursion to the Roman City of EXETER
19:00 BEACH BARBECUE Burgers, sausage and a drink – vegetarian option available

09:00-10:30 & 11:00-12:30 LESSONS
Afternoon Activity: Quay West water slide park
Optional Evening Activity: 19:00 Traditional British Fish and Chips at a local restaurant

Note: This is a typical holiday course programme. On the Intensive courses, all weekday afternoon activities and
excursions are replaced by lessons. We may need to make some small changes to the programme, but the one thing
we do guarantee, is that you will not be bored and that you will have a good time!
