COMPANY HISTORY: Gearshift Films was founded
in 2009 by award-winning filmmakers Borga Dorter
and Jordan Barker, whose credits include MY
BROTHER’S KEEPER starring Shawn Ashmore,
THE MARSH starring Academy Award winner
Forest Whitaker and Gabrielle Anwar, and DURESS
starring Martin Donovan. The company’s television
slate includes the Canadian adaptation of the hit
UK comedy series KINGDOM starring Stephen Fry;
the sci-fi action series ANOMALIES with Damian
Kindler (Stargate SG-1, Sanctuary) attached
as executive producer, and the animated series
BILLY IN B.E.T.W.E.E.N. (co-production with CCI
Entertainment).

SYNOPSIS: ANOMALIES is a procedural , sci-fi
adventure series. Each week we will have a new
anomaly, a new adventure. Our protagonists
Theresa and Leo will battle anomalies all around
the world, while also discovering deep and dark
revelations about their own past. These anomalies
are grounded in reality; they are NOT creatures or
evil villains. They are simply forms of negative
energy in the world that manifest themselves into
freak accidents or events, such as a never-ending
snow storm in July, etc.
TRANSMEDIA LAB - FOCUS ON TV SERIES
Sinopse: ANOMALIES é uma série processual e
de ficção científica. A cada semana, teremos uma
nova anomalia, uma nova aventura. Nossos protagonistas, Theresa e Leo, combaterão anomalias
pelo mundo todo e encontram profundas e sombrias revelações sobre o próprio passado deles. As
anomalias estão baseadas na realidade, elas NÃO
SÃO criaturas ou vilões maléficos. Elas são apenas
formas de energia negativa que se manifestam no
mundo em acidentes ou acontecimentos estranhos
do tipo uma infindável nevasca no verão, etc.
Logline: Leo, the mythical Outlier, is joined by
Theresa, a wide eyed young adventurer, as they
investigate mysterious “anomalies”, discovering
how magical - and dangerous - our earth truly is.
