Both illustrate that size is no barrier to greatness, and show how much fun this rugged region can be! Experience the magic of the railways on the Waldviertelbahn's 81 kilometres of narrow-gauge routes in the northernmost part of Austria. The steam and diesel locomotives take in some of the most impressive parts of the wild and rugged Waldviertel region. Waldviertelbahn trains: Diesel railcar The golden diesel railcars in the new Waldviertelbahn livery are a particularly comfortable way to travel.
