Bosch Recording Station v8.11 Release Notes
1 New software features in BRS 8.11
1.1
Remote export
This feature allows to export on remote BRS systems and to load exports from
remote BRS systems.
1.1.1 Exporting to remote station
BRS 8.11 is able to export to a remote station.
Both - export in BRS native format and in ASF format - is supported on a root
directory of the logical drives, including a CD/DVD writer, of any connected
BRS remote station.
1.1.2 Loading BRS export from remote station
Accordingly exported video can be loaded from a root directory of the logical
drives, including a CD/DVD writer, of any connected BRS remote station.
1.2
Image comparison
This feature allows to set comparison images on several BRS recorders and
to visually compare current images of multiple BRS recorders on one (1)
remote client. After performing an image comparison, a report can be
displayed and saved.
1.2.1 Configuring comparison images
BRS configuration offers the user to set and to save a comparison image of
current live images of MPEG4, H.264 and Onvif cameras. Additionally a time
stamp is saved.
Notes:
• The comparison images are saved in folder
\ProgramData\Bosch\Bosch Recording Station\ReferenceImages.
• Remote configuration does not support comparison images.
• When saving a Configuration containing comparison images, a folder
is created, which contains the comparison images; this folder gets the
same name as the configuration file (default = vidsys).
• Accordingly comparison images get loaded with a Configuration file.
1.2.2 Comparing images in BRS application
To start image comparison: right-click remote station > Image comparison…
1. Select cameras to compare
2. Retrieve images
3. Evaluate images
4. Create report
