Tobias Barthel ist in einer
Theaterfamilie groß geworden, entschied sich aber erst
nach anderen beruflichen
Stationen zu einer Ausbildung als Maskenbildner.
Als Chefmaskenbildner der
Komischen Oper Berlin hat
er seinen Traumberuf gefunden. Besonders spannend ist
für ihn die Herausforderung,
die Ideen von Regisseuren
und die Entwürfe von Kostümbildnern kreativ für die
Bühne umzusetzen.
Handwerkliches und künstlerisches Geschick sind ihre
Gabe, Kunst & Design ihre
Mission. Birgit Mörtl spezialisierte sich auf Bühnenkostüme und ihre Kundenliste für
Kostüm-Ausstattungen, Promotion-Kostüme, Bodypainting, Bühnendesign, Filme
sowie Event- und Messedekorationen liest sich wie das
Who´s Who der Veranstalterund Produzentenszene.
Nach der Ausbildung zum
Maskenbildner bei den Bühnen der Stadt Köln arbeitete
Bernd Staatz als Chefmaskenbildner in Bonn, Nizza und
Hamburg. Seit 1986 leitet er
ein Atelier für Masken- und
Perückenausstattungen für
Theater, Film und Fernsehen
und ist seit 2005 Chefmaskenbildner an der Deutschen
Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf.
Jos Brands arbeitete im Lauf
seiner internationalen Karriere für Film, Fernsehen, Theaterbühnen, Modefotografen,
Designer und Werbeprojekte.
Von Beginn an war es der Motor seines Schaffens, Dinge
zu hinterfragen und weiterzuentwickeln. Daraus resultiert seine außergewöhnliche Kreativität. Jos Brands
gibt weltweit Seminare für
Airbrush, Bodypainting und
High Definition Make-up.

Tobias Barthel grew up in a
theatre family, but he first
made the decision for the
training as a make-up artist
following other professional
positions. Today he has
found his dream job as head
make-up artist at the
Komische Oper Berlin. It is an
especially exciting challenge
for
him

creatively
implement directors‘ ideas
and costume designers‘
designs for the stage.

Skilful and artistic craftsmanship is her gift and art &
design is her mission. After
completing her fashion and
apparel engineering studies,
Birgit Mörtl specialised in
stage costumes and obtained
her Master Diploma. Her client
list for theatre costumes,
promotion outfits, body painting, set design and movies
as well as event and trade
fair decoration reads like the
“who’s who” of the event
management and production
scene.

After training as a theatrical
make-up artist at the Cologne
theatre, Bernd Staatz worked
as head make-up artist in
Bonn, Nice and Hamburg.
Since 1986, he has managed
an atelier for masks and wigs
for the theatre, movies and
television. Since 2005 he has
headed the team of make-up
artists at the “Deutsche Oper
am Rhein” in Düsseldorf.

Oscar ausgezeichneten Film
Erbarmungslos zurückblicken.

Innovationspotential hilft er
zukünftigen Maskenbildnern
beim Start in den Beruf.
Siân Richards genießt international hohes Ansehen und
ist für ihre Kreativität und
makellose Arbeit bekannt.
Egal, ob es sich um schlichte
Beauty Make-ups, aufwendige Foto-Shootings oder
Make-up für Filme wie Happy New Year, Cloud Atlas und
Movie 43 handelt. Sie studierte Kunst und Fotografie

Daniel Parker stammt aus
London und lebt heute in

Stuart Bray ist Spezialist für
Special Effects Make-up und
arbeitet freiberuflich für die
Film- und Fernsehindustrie.
Er hat in zahlreichen Spielfilmen mitgewirkt, darunter
Der Soldat James Ryan, Die
Mumie 1 & 2, Gladiator, Blade II, Der Sternwanderer und
47 Ronin. Er unterrichtet als
Gastdozent in VisagistenSchulen und veranstaltet
Special Effects Workshops.
Ilka Küting wurde in Aachen
geboren, wo sie am Stadttheater Aachen ihre Ausbildung
absolvierte. Dort arbeitete
sie ein weiteres Jahr als Maskenbildnerin und begleitete
freiberuflich Fotoshootings,
Kurz- und Werbefilme. Mittlerweile hat sie sich unter anderem auf Haare spezialisiert
und ist für ein Unternehmen
europaweit im Außendienst
unterwegs.

Sven Hollenberg worked

Dennis Penkovs Leidenschaft

im Filmstudio Babelsberg tätig und hat heute eine eigene
Academy. Zu den bekannten
Produktionen bei denen er
mitwirkte, gehören Filme wie

Tunnel, Die Päpstin und Plötzlich Fett.
Pia Norberg leitet ein eigenes
Atelier und entwickelt dort
unter anderem Tierköpfe und
Perücken jeglicher Art. Ihre
Kreativität ist bei zahlreichen
Foto-, Film- und Musikproduktionen gefragt, für die Shows
der AIDA Kreuzfahrtschiffe
entwickelt sie Perücken und
Make-up. Sie arbeitet als Referentin und unterrichtet an
der „Hamburg School of Entertainment“.

Für sein Lebenswerk wird Michael Westmore
mit der Goldenen Maske International ausgezeichnet. Michael Westmore genießt
weltweit hohes Ansehen, seine Arbeit wurde neun Mal mit dem Emmy Award und ein
Mal mit dem Oscar ausgezeichnet. Er hat
unzählige Filme mit seiner maskenbildnerischen Handschrift geprägt.
Die Preisverleihung findet am Samstag,
16. März 2013, um 17.00 Uhr im VortragsForum statt.
