1 Verwendungszweck und Beschreibung
Das Rollstuhl-Sitzkissen Advantage ist ausschließlich zur Dekubitusprophylaxe und -therapie bei
der Benutzung im Rollstuhl vorgesehen.
Das Advantage Kissen ist speziell auf die besonderen Bedürfnisse des aktiven Benutzers abgestimmt und kombiniert sehr geringes Gewicht mit einem Maximum an Schutz.
Advantage besteht aus Bezug ➀, Schaumstoffseitenteilen ➁, Floam-Einzelzellen ➂ und Schaumstoffbasis ➃.
Durch die Verwendung des neuen Polymer-Gels Floam wird ein neuer Weg in der DekubitusProphylaxe eingeschlagen.
Die Floamfüllung im Kissen sorgt dafür, daß der Druck effektiv und auf weniger gefährdete Zonen
verteilt wird.
Cel-Pak
Der innere Bezug (Cel-Pak) dient dazu, die Schaumstoff-Seitenzellen und die Floam-Einzelzellen
in Position zu halten. Er hüllt die Schaumstoffbasis eng ein.
Nach Entfernen der Schaumstoffbasis an der Kissenunterseite kann bei Bedarf jede Floam-Einzelzelle vom Fachpersonal ausgetauscht bzw. ersetzt werden.
2 Tips zu Ihrer Sicherheit
Lassen Sie niemals scharfe Objekte mit der Kissenoberfläche in Kontakt kommen.
Setzen Sie das Kissen nicht längere Zeit Temperaturen von mehr als 55 °C aus.
Falls das Kissen längere Zeit Temperaturen von weniger als 0 °C ausgesetzt wurde, müssen
Sie überprüfen, wie sich die Zellen anfühlen. Falls sie sich hart anfühlen, kneten Sie sie mit den
Händen, bis sie wieder locker sind.
Legen Sie das Kissen auf den Stuhl.
Das "back"-Etikett, an der Unterseite des Kissen angebracht, sollte in Richtung der Rückenlehne
zeigen. Mit Hilfe des aufgenähten quadratischen Klettbandes an der Kissenunterseite ist das
Kissen einfach zu fixieren.
3 Funktionskontrolle und Pflege
Täglich:
Lockern Sie das Advantage Kissen auf, indem Sie das Polymer-Gel der Floam-Zellen von den
Seiten aus in Richtung Kissenmitte drücken.
Dabei sollte das Kissen im Bezug bleiben.
Da der Floam unter Einwirkung seines eigenen Gewichtes nicht fließt, trägt diese Maßnahme
dazu bei, daß sich ein Maximum an Floam unter dem Benutzer befindet.
Monatlich:
Zur Überprüfung der Floam-Zellen können Sie den Kissenbezug abnehmen.
Entfernen Sie als nächstes die Schaumstoffbasis an der Kissenunterseite und entnehmen Sie
dann die Zellen durch die Schlitze ➄.
Überprüfen Sie die Floam-Einzelzellen. Bei Bedarf können diese vom Fachpersonal ausgetauscht
werden.
Bezug
1. Wenden Sie den Bezug zum Reinigen.
2. Waschen Sie ihn im Schongang bei 30 °C mit einem milden, umweltfreundlichen Waschmittel. Nicht Bleichen.

3. Im Schongang trocknen. Nicht zu sehr erwärmen.
Meist reicht die Reinigung des Bezuges aus. Sollte es in seltenen Fällen nötig sein, die FloamZellen zu reinigen, beachten Sie bitte den folgenden Abschnitt.
Floam-Zellen
Die Floam-Zellenhülle ist aus einer zweilagigen Polyurethanfolie gefertigt. Spülen Sie sie handwarm ab, oder benutzen Sie ein Desinfektions- bzw. Waschmittel, das nicht auf Alkohol basiert.
Trocknen Sie die Zellen mit einem Handtuch ab oder lassen Sie sie bei Zimmertemperatur an
der Luft trocknen.
Schaumstoffteile
Es wurde hochqualitativer Schaumstoff mit offenen Zellen verwendet, der besonders langlebig
und komfortabel ist.
4 Gewährleistung
Eine Gewähr kann nur übernommen werden, wenn das Produkt unter den vorgegebenen Bedingungen und zu den vorgesehenen Zwecken eingesetzt wird.
5 Konformitätserklärung
Otto Bock erkärt als Hersteller in alleiniger Verantwortung, daß das Rollstuhl-Sitzkissen
Advantage mit den Anforderungen der Richtlinie 93/42/EWG übereinstimmt.

1 Application and Description
The Advantage wheelchair seat cushion has been exclusively provided for dekubitus prophylaxis
and -therapy when used in a wheelchair.
The Advantage cushion can be adjusted to the individual needs of the user.
Cloud consists of the cover ➀, Floam side cells ➁, individual Floam cells ➂ and foam
basis ➃.
Sizes
Blue Floam cell: small
Black Floam cell: medium
Red Floam cell: large
The use of the new polymeric gel Floam treads new paths for pressure sore prophylaxis.
With the filling material Floam the pressure can be transferred effectively to areas at low risk.
Cel-Pak
The inner cover (Cel-Pak) holds the individual Floam cells in place and contains the foam basis.
If needed every individual Floam cell can be exchanged or replaced by specialist staff after removing the foam basis at the underside of the cushion.
2 Tips for your safety
Never allow sharp objects to come into contact with the cushion surface.
Do not expose cushion to prolonged temperatures above 55 °C.
If the cushion is left in subfreezing temperatures for prolonged periods of time, check the feel of
the cells. If hardened, manipulate the cells with the hands until they loosen up.
Place the cushion on the chair with the "back" label (located on the underside of the cushion)
towards the back of the wheelchair. Using the square Velcro band attached to the bottom of the
cushion you can easily fix the latter.

3 Maintenance and operational check
Daily:
"Pluff" the Advantage. This is done by pushing the Floam cells from the sides toward the center
of the cushion with the protective cover in place. Since Floam does not flow under its own weight,
this will help insure that the maximum amount of Floam will always be under the user.
Monthly:
For checking the Floam cells you can remove the cushion cover.
Then remove the foam basis located on the underside of the cushion and pull the cells through
the slits ➄.
Every Floam cell can be exchanged or replaced individually. When reinstalling the Floam cells in
the Cel-Pak (inner cover), make sure to replace the proper cells in their proper locations.
Cover
1. To clean, turn cover inside-out.
2. Machine wash on gentle cycle at 30 °C using a mild environmentally friendly detergent.
Do not bleach.
3. Machine dry on gentle cycle. Do not use excessive heat.
In most cases cleaning the cover is sufficient. Only seldom may it be necessary to clean the cells.
If so please note the following:
Floam Cells
The Floam Cell bladder is made from a two ply polyurethane film, Hand rinse or wash using a
non-alcohol based disinfectant or detergent. Hand dry or allow to air dry at room temperature.
Foam parts
The foam parts are made from high quality open cell foam chosen for its long life and comfort.
5 Warranty
A warranty can only be offered, if the product is used according to the individual conditions
and intended purposes.
6 Declaration of Conformity
Otto Bock as manufacturer with sole responsibility declares that the Advantage wheelchair seat
cushion conforms to the requirements of 93/42/EEC Guideline.

Le coussin d'assise pour fauteuil roulant Advantage est prévu exclusivement pour la prophylaxie
et la thérapie du décubitus lors de l'utilisation en fauteuil roulant.
Le coussin Advantage est adapté spécialement aux besoins particuliers de l'utilisateur actif et
offre à la fois un poids très réduit ainsi qu'un maximum de protection.
L'Advantage est constitué d'une housse ➀, d'éléments latéraux en mousse ➁, de cellules individuelles de Floam ➂ et d'une base en mousse. ➃.
L'utilisation du nouveau gel polymère Floam a permis de s'engager dans une nouvelle voie dans
la prophylaxie du décubitus.
Le remplissage en Floam à l'intérieur du coussin assure une répartition de la pression efficace et
sur des zones peu exposées aux risques.
