Der Orbit ist eine völlige Neuentwicklung im Barcode-Scannerbereich.
Mit der patentierten HoloPrism-Technologie (Laserbündelung) werden
herausragende Leseergebnisse erzielt.
Der Orbit ist die neueste Generation von mini
omnidirektionalen Barcodescannern. Als robustes
Leichtgewicht ist der Orbit klein in der Größe aber
groß in der Leistung. Entworfen für Arbeitsplätze
wo der Platz knapp ist, stellt der Orbit den idealen
Scanner für z.B. Kiosk, Tankstellen, Apotheken
sowie im Präsentationsbereich des Einzelhandels,
für Getränke und Spezialgeschäfte dar. Darüber
hinaus erlaubt die einzigartige Form des Orbit ihn
als Hand-Heldscanner zu verwenden, um große
oder sperrige Gegenstände zu scannen. Durch
seine spezielle HoloPrism-technologie erreicht der
Orbit eine sehr hohe Erstleserate und ermöglicht
somit die schnellste Abwcklung und steigert
dadurch die Produktivität beträchtlich. Der um 30°
schwenkbare Scankopf gibt zusätzliche Felxibilität
um sich den Bedürfnissen des Anwenders
anzupassen.

Der Orbit ist in drei verschiedenen SchnittstellenVersionen verfügbar:
1) Tastaturschnittstelle, RS232, Lichtstiftemulation
2) OCIA und RS232
3) IBM46xx und RS232
Die Umschaltung zwischen den einzelnen
Betriebsarten geschieht durch einfaches Tauschen
des Kabels, umstecken einer Steckbrücke und
umprogrammierung mit Hilfe des mitgelieferten
Handbuches.
