of Einat Dan from Berlin.
„Düsseldorf ist ein absolut guter Treffpunkt für die Künstler der Branche und natürlich auch für das Networking. Was
auf der Bühne geboten wird, hat schon exzellente Qualität“,
fand Laura Tyler-Dandridge aus Orlando. Mit ihrer Maske
verwandelte sie ihren Ehemann in ein Monster. Und so wurde er prompt zum Titelmotiv der mads 2015.
Hollywood Make-up Artist und
Oscargewinnerin Michele Burke aus Los Angeles war beeindruckt vom Programm.
„Hier kommen die

Besonders gut
gefällt mir, dass
das Programm
sämtliche Facetten der Branche abdeckt – von Fantasy bis
zum Theater.“

changed her husband into a monster. And

den vergangenen Jahren eine immense Bandbreite maskenbildnerischen Schaffens kreativ umgesetzt.
Auch 2015 stehen wieder interessante Themen auf dem Programm.

bekannt für seine Prosthetics, Special Effects und Animatronics
für die er bereits zahlreiche Auszeichnungen erhielt.

and actors in Hollywood productions and is well-known for his
prosthetics, special effects and animatronics, for which he

Beim Modellieren mit Bildhauer
Jan Ptassek sind der Fantasie keine
Grenzen gesetzt. Unter dem Motto „Charakter Design – gefundenes
Fressen“ entstehen aus ungewöhnlichen Vorlagen Charakterköpfe.
Was Schritt für Schritt zum Beispiel
aus einem Kaugummi, der auf dem
Pflaster klebt, werden kann, zeigen die Fotos hier. Da möchte man
selbst doch gleich loslegen, oder?

imagination. Under the motto “Character design – golden opportunity“,
character heads are created from
unusual models. The pictures here
show step by step what can be
made, for example, from a piece

Maskenbildner für ihr Lebenswerk, besondere künstlerische Leistungen oder das Engagement für den
Nachwuchs.
With the awarding of the Golden Mask, KRYOLAN
Berlin honours make-up artists for their life’s work,
exceptional artistic achievements or their commitment towards young talent.
Preisträger der Goldenen Maske National war in diesem Jahr Dennis Penkov.
Die Laudatio hielt Nick Dudman, der zusammen mit Dennis Penkov für die in
England gedrehte US-Serie Penny Dreadful
gearbeitet hat. Nick Dudman gefiel es in
Düsseldorf so gut, dass er spontan zusagte, im Vortrags-Forum 2015 dabei zu sein.
This year’s award winner of the Golden Mask National was Dennis Penkov.
The laudation was held by Nick Dudman, who, together with Dennis Penkov,
worked for the US series Penny Dreadful, which was filmed in England. Nick
Dudman liked Düsseldorf so much that he
spontaneously agreed to participate in the
Presentation Forum in 2015.
Daniel Parker wurde die Goldene Maske
International in Abwesenheit verliehen.
Ihn hatte man im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes in die Wüste geschickt. In Tan-Tan in
der westlichen Sahara schminkte er Tom
Hanks für einen Film von Tom Tykwer. Von
dort schickte er herzliche Grüße nach Düsseldorf.

Daniel Parker
Daniel Parker was awarded the Golden
Mask International in absentia. He was
literally sent into the desert. In Tan-Tan in
the Western Sahara, he took care of Tom
Hanks‘ make-up for a Tom Tykwer movie.
From there he sent warm regards to Düsseldorf.
