Mailverkehr zum Betrugsfall
Das Vintago-Team hat an wenigen Stellen Schwärzungen vorgenommen, da speziell die
Andressen gefälscht sind und wir hier keine Dritte schädigen möchtenIm Folgenden der Mailverkehr mit Herrn Anthony (mit Anmerkungen)

Die erste Mail fehlt, da fragt er an, ob das Cello noch zu haben ist. Ich antworte mit ja.

Don't understand me wrong, if I would sell some books or whatever, I wouldn't do this, but a
Cello for 1800 Euro (for me as a student it is a lot of money at the moment...) is a difference!
I just feel safer with a contract...

transfer to your account ASAP and you will be notify by my bank when the transfer of the
money is completed. I will forward your address and phone number to the freight company
Global Freight Logistics so that they can schedule the time to come for the pick up of the
musical instrument, the freight company is collecting (450 €) for the pick up of the musical
instrument. I will sign the contract of sales later today and send it back to you.

In dieser Mail erwähnte er zum ersten Mal dass ich den Transport (450Euro) bezahlen sollte.
Ich wurde hier schon stutzig, beschloss das aber mit der Firma selbst zu klären, sobald diese
sich bei mir melden würden.

Instrument would be picked up by Global Freight Logistics. I made an extra payment (450
Euro) and i am sure you noticed that, you'll have to send the extra amount to the Freight
Company through Western Union right away, so that they can come ahead for the pick up.
Please send the necessary Western Union Payment Information. You will need to send the
(450 Euro) to the freight company office address via western union money transfer (this can
be done from the post office, as they usually have a western union agent there). Here is the

Hier war das erste Mal von Western Union die Rede, wenn ich es heute mit dem
Hintergrundwissen und aufmerksam lese, erscheint auch die Mailadresse der angeblichen
Transportfirma nicht sehr professionell.
Die nächste Mail ist von der Royal Bank of Canada, 14.06.:

Diese Mail erschien mir sehr seriös und ich überlegte, ob das so gängige Praxis sei. Ich
beschloss, ins nächste WesternUnion-Büro zu gehen und dort nachzufragen. Da ich auf dem
Land wohne, musste ich dazu in die nächstgrößere Stadt. Ich informierte mich über die
Öffnungszeiten und fuhr hin, leider war die Homepage von WesternUnion dahingehend etwas
veraltet, sodass ich vor verschlossenen Türen stand.
Ich schrieb folgende kurze Mitteilung:

I tried to send the 450 € yesterday but I had a little problem: The western union homepage
gave me wrong information about the opening hours of the post office, so I couldn't do this
yesterday.

Am Montag war ich in der Poststelle. Ich fragte die Beamtin, ob dies so gängige Praxis sei.
Sie verneinte und riet mir dringend davon ab, das Geld einfach so per WesternUnion zu
versenden.
Zu Hause googelte ich die Stichwörter Betrug Anzeige WesternUnion und landete schnell auf
der oben verlinkten Seite. Da sich der erste Fall sehr ähnlich dem meinen anhört, suchte ich
weiter.
Ich googelte die Spedition und fand nichts. Ich habe mal im Speditionswesen gearbeitet und
auch noch nie etwas von dieser Firma gehört. Also beschloss ich, zunächst einmal höflich,
Herrn Anthony zur Rede zu stellen.

I was at the post office today. The bank consultant adviced me against paying the shipping
costs before getting the money. She told me, that they made negativ experiences.
Furthermore I looked up "global freight logistics" on google and I could not find any
company named so. Can you give me a URL?
Please pay the shipping costs to the transport company directly (You subscribed the contract,
where I wrote "Mr James Anthony is responsible for the shipment.").
If I should pay the transport, I want to have the money first.

I don't know what you mean by negative experience. Please don't delay the pick up of the
Instrument, I urge you to send the 450 € to global freight logistics ASAP.

Sein Ton wurde schroffer und meine Geduld ging zu Ende. Also beschloss ich, direkt zu
werden.

The western union homepage also warns of sending money to unknown people. Negative
experience: I mean online fraud.

I'm sorry, but the first case sounds exactly like what you want me to do.
I will not send money to anybody, this was not part of our contract.
If you want to purchase me of your honesty, please give me information about the transport
company and answer my other questions. If you don't want to delay the pick up, pay the
transport on your own, transfer the price on my bank account, as we declared and than we can
make a date for picking up the Cello.

Auf diese Mail habe ich keine Antwort mehr bekommen, also gehe ich davon aus, dass ich mit
meiner Vermutung richtig lag, erst recht, wenn Sie sagen, dass auch ein anderer VintagoNutzer von ihm angeschrieben wurde.
