VISÃO
MITOLUDENS ONDE AS DEUSAS E OS DEUSES BRINCAM!
Mitoludens dedica-se à projetos e pesquisas interdisciplinares, tendo como foco principal o teatro
e os estudos mitológicos sob o olhar da psicologia arquetípica (James Hillman e colaboradores),
em seus vários desdobramentos.
Os mitos são os que melhor representam os arquétipos, e os arquétipos são nossos parceiros
reflexivos de alma. Re-visitamos a Grécia para rever nossas origens ocidentais para uma
compreensão mais profunda de nossos grandes desafios atuais, tanto pessoais quanto globais.
Os arquétipos da mitologia grega nos dão uma excelente abertura para reflexão, trazendo maior
consciência sobre as complexidades contemporâneas, quebrando paradigmas e preconceitos
para um olhar mais profundo através de verdades essenciais e engajamento cultural, celebrando
a vida. Reconhece a imaginação como primeira base da psique, e assim abre perspectivas de
modo criativo para com nossos desafios. A mitologia não é dogmática e assim, permite-nos nos
incluirmos, nos re-inventarmos, e ainda nos traz o sentido de pertencimento. Sim, é permitido
reverter padrões opressivos e se desvencilhar de esteriótipos.
Neste trabalho se reconhece que não só os humanos, mas toda a natureza e cada coisa no
mundo tem alma. Ou seja, o mundo tem alma – anima mundi! Assim, temos a proposta de “cuidar”
e cultivar alma neste mundo, nossa morada.
Cultura + Natureza = Celebração da Vida!
O teatro, do grego théatron, que deriva-se de theaomai, significa olhar com atenção para uma
experiência intensa, envolvente e meditativa para uma busca de siginificado mais profundo. Uma
visão, onde paradoxos e ambiguidades são condensadas em tempos individuais e coletivos. A
hipótese de sua origem dá-se com rituais e com os contadores de estórias por volta de 80.000
anos A.C. A primeira teorização sobre teatro veio dos antigos gregos. A base que a Mitoludens
trabalha vem a partir do diretor polaco Jerzy Grotowski (sec. XX), que busca justamente um teatro
ritualístico e performático, no trabalho psico-físico e na confrontação do intelecto e instinto,
pensamento e emoção, trabalhando o corpo para responder aos impulsos psíquicos. Atualmente,
a Mitoludens tem parceria com Enrique Pardo, diretor do Panthèâtre (França), desenvolvendo
suas próprias técnicas e inspirações de James Hillman.
Alguns pensadores/artistas nos são também preciosos: Carl Gustav Jung, Joseph Campbell,
Rafael Lopez-Pedraza, Henry Corbin, Marion Woodman, Christine Downing, Ginette Paris, David
Miller, Stephen Aizenstat, Antonin Artaud, Tadeusz Kantor, Kazuo Ohno, Pina Bausch, Eugenio
Barba, Ariane Mnouchkine, Jelaluddin Rumi, Shams-ud-din Hafiz, Cora Coralina e tantos outros
artistas e colaboradores do pensamento e corpo arquetípico. Todos os poetas, nossa gratidão!
Oferecemos cursos, workshops, oficinas, mesas redondas, produções culturais e viagens com
aulas de mitologia nos sítios arqueológicos da Grécia. Os sonhos, a alquimia, as cores, a poesia,
o teatro-dança, o cinema, a música, aromas e sabores, nos são fundamentais.
Contamos também com a parceria da Joseph Campbell Foundation, Universidade Holística
Internacional da Paz -UNIPAZ-DF, Reborn Traveler, e apoio da Toca da Cura e Café Jardim Bom
Demais (Brasilia-DF).
VISION
MYTHOLUDENS WHERE GODDESSES AND GODS PLAY!
Mytholudens dedicates to interdisciplinary projects and research, focused on theatre and
mythological studies through the lenses of archetypal psychology (James Hillman and
colaborators) and its various unfolding.
Myths are the best form of representing the archetypes and are our reflexive soul’s partners. We
visit the Ancient Greece for a re-vision of the main goddesses and gods, opening ourselves to a
deeper and diverse understanding of our challenges, both personally and globally.
The Greek archetypes give us an excellent opening for reflection, bringing greater awareness of
contemporary complexities, breaking paradigms and prejudices for a deeper look through essential
truths and cultural engagement, celebrating life. Recognizes imagination as the first structure of the
psyche, and thus opens perspectives to a creative engagement towards life’s challenges.
Mythology is not dogmatic and thus allows us to include ourselves, re-inventing and bringing a
sense of belonging. Yes, it is allowed to revert oppressive patterns and break away stereotypes as
well.
This approach recognizes that not only human beings, but all of nature and all things in the world
have a soul. The world has a soul – anima mundi! In this sense, we propose taking care and
cultivating soul in this world, our home.
Culture+Nature=Celebration of Life!
Theatrer, theatron in Greek, derives from theaomai, meaning to look carefully for an intense
experience, engaging and meditative to a search for a deeper meaning. A vison where paradoxes
and ambiguities are condensed into individual and collective times. The hypothesis of its origin is
the rituals and story tellings around 80,000 years BC. The first theorizing about theatre came from
the ancient Greeks. The base that Mitoludens works with comes from the Polish director Jerzy
Grotowski (sec XX), which seeks precisely the ritual and the performative theatre, psycho-physical
work and the confrontation of intellect and instinct, thought and emotion, working the body to
respond to psychic impulses. Currently, Mitoludens partners with Enrique Pardo, director of
Panthèâtre (France), developing its own techniques and inspiration from James Hillman.
Some thinkers/artists are also precious to us: Carl Gustav Jung, Joseph Campbell, Henry Corbin,
Marion Woodman, Rafael Lopez-Pedraza, Christine Downing, Ginette Paris, David Miller, Stephen
Aizenstat, Antonin Artaud, Tadeusz Kantor, Kazuo Ohno, Eugenio Barba, Pina Bausch, Ariane
Mnouchkine, Jelaluddin Rumi, Shams-ud-din Hafiz, Cora Coralina and many other artists and

We offer courses, workshops, round tables, cultural productions and travels with class on
mythology in the archaeological sites in Greece. The dreams, alchemy, colors, poetry, theatredance, movies, music, scents and flavors are fundamental for us.
We have partnerships also with the Joseph Campbell Foundation, Universidade Holística

MITOLOGIA ATRAVÉS DAS LENTES ARQUETÍPICAS
Cursos, Workshops, Mesas Redondas, Teatro, Poesia, Videos e Viagens
A Mitoludens oferece e coordena cursos/vivências/workshops, grupos de estudo e produções
culturais, como aprofundamento ou extensão aos assuntos estudados no curso Deusas e Deuses
Re-visitados, que é semestralmente, oferecido por Luciana Aires Mesquita. Neste curso, dezenove
deusas e deuses da mitologia grega, com a visão da psicologia arquetípica desenvolvida por
James Hillman, são detalhados em seus mais diversos e complexos universos.
Dentro da programação deste curso, contamos com dois convidados especiais: Dr. Marcos Callia
(SBPA-SP) e a terapeuta Márcia Bittencourt (SP). No estudo de Asclepius (deus da
medicina)/Perséfone&Hades (deuses do submundo), Callia oferece a vivência/workshop
Incubação de Sonhos - Epifanias Oníricas. E no estudo da deusa Afrodite, Márcia Bittencourt
oferece a vivência/workshop BodySoulRhythms: Eros & Psique, um trabalho inspirado por Marion
Woodman (Canadá).
Para o 1o. Semestre/2016, inauguraremos dois novos cursos complementares: Mundus Imaginalis
e Individuaçao Espiritual: Henry Corbin no Entremundo. Corbin é o segundo pensador da
psicologia arquetípica depois de Jung, de acordo com James Hillman. Será ministrado por Mônica
Udler, PhD em Filosofia (USP); e o curso Tipos Psicológicos, a ser ministrado por Angelina
Vargas, socióloga e psicóloga.
Além destes cursos regularmente ofertados, mantemos três Mesas Redondas: Joseph Campbell,
Carl Gustav Jung e Teatro.
Neste ano de 2015, inauguramos junto à Joseph Campbell Foundation, a Mesa Redonda de
Mitologia®, Grupo de Brasilia-DF: Cinema, Mitos & Jazz aos Domingos com Joe! A cada quinze
dias nos reunimos para discutir o livro O Herói de Mil Faces, de Joseph Campbell e assistirmos
filmes que tem como roteiro a jornada do herói. Nestes encontros um artista local é convidado
para apresentar seu trabalho e falar de sua jornada. Está previsto para 2016, uma visita de
Edvaldo Pereira Lima (USP) para estar conosco oferecendo um workshop sobre “a jornada do
herói” como estrutura narrativa.
Inauguraremos ainda este ano, em outubro de 2015, a Mesa Redonda Carl Gustav Jung, onde
estudaremos O Livro Vermelho: Liber Novus, a obra de Jung mais inédita e importante da história
da psicologia. Será liderado por Angelina Vargas.
A Mesa Redonda Teatro está sendo produzida para realizar o encontro internacional Grotowski,
Bausch, Pardo&Hillman que acontecerá em novembro de 2016. Luciana Aires Mesquita,
administrará previamente oficinas introduzindo as técnicas utilizadas no Panthèâtre, em parceria
com o Depto de Artes Cênicas/UnB e Angelina Vargas com o trabalho “Corpo Sutil”.
A cineasta Liloye Boubli vem nos acompanhando desde 2008, desenvolvendo projetos de video
sobre os mitos do curso Deusas e Deuses Re-visitados no Rio de Janeiro-RJ. Boubli nos é uma
presença valiosa e muito inspiradora, um presente dos deuses!
E finalmente, estamos lançando nossa primeira viagem de estudos dos arquétipos nos sítios
arqueológicos na Grécia, que acontecerá em maio/2016. Convidamos Mari Sato, da agencia
Reborn Traveler para estar conosco. Mari é antropóloga e mestre em Tourism Management
pela New York University.

MYTHOLOGY THROUGH THE ARCHETYPAL LENSES
Course, Workshops, Round Tables, Cinema, Theatre, Poetry and Travels!
Mitoludens provides and coordinates courses, workshops, study groups and cultural productions
such as deepening or extending the subjects studied in the course Goddesses and Gods Revisited, which is offered every semester by Luciana Aires Mesquita. In this course, nineteen
goddesses and gods of Greek mythology, with the vision of archetypal psychology developed by
James Hillman, are detailed in its most diverse and complex universes.
Within the schedule of this course, we have two special guests: Dr. Marcos Callia (SBPA-SP) and
the therapist Marcia Bittencourt (SP). In the study of Asclepius (god of medicine) / Persephone &
Hades (underworld gods), Callia is invited to offer the workshop Dream Incubation - Epiphanies
Oneiric. And during the study of Aphrodite goddess, Marcia Bittencourt is invited to offer the
workshop BodySoulRhythms: Eros & Psyche, a work inspired by Marion Woodman (Canada).
We will be opening two complementary courses for the first semester/2016: Mundus Imaginalis
and individuation Spiritual: Henry Corbin InbetweenWorlds. Corbin is the second thinker of
archetypal psychology after Jung, said James Hillman. It will be taught by Monica Udler, PhD in
Philosophy (USP); and the course on Psychological Types offered by Angelina Vargas, sociologist
and psychologist.
Besides those regular courses, we have three Roundtables for the study of: Joseph Campbell, Carl
Gustav Jung and Theatre.
This year we opened the Joseph Campbell Foundation Mythological RoundTable®, Group of
Brasilia-DF: Cinema, Myths & Jazz on Sunday with Joe! Every two weeks we meet to discuss the
book The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell and to watch films that presents the
heroe journey For these meetings, a local artist is invited to present their work and to talk about
their journey. It is scheduled for 2016, a visit by Edvaldo Pereira Lima (USP) to be with us offering
a workshop on "the hero's journey" as a narrative structure.
In October 2015 we are opening the RoundTable of Carl Gustav Jung, which will study The Red
Book: Liber Novus, the most novel and important Jung's work in the history of psychology. It will be
led by Angelina Vargas.
The RoundTable Theatre has been produced to realize the international meeting on Grotowski,
Bausch, Pardo & Hillman that will take place in November 2016, Brasília-DF. Luciana Aires
Mesquita will previously offering workshops using the techniques from Panthéâtre. It will have
partnership with the Theatre Arts Department/UnB and Angelina Vargas with the work “Subtle
Body”.
The filmmaker Liloye Boubli has been accompanying us since 2008, developing video projects
over the course of the myths Goddesses and Gods Re-visited in Rio de Janeiro-RJ. Boubli is a
valuable and inspiring presence, a gift from the gods!
And finally, we are launching our first cultural trip to study the archetypes in the archaeological
sites of Greece, to be held in May/2016. We invite Mari Sato, and her Reborn Traveler agency to
be with us. Mari is an anthropologist and master in Tourism Management from the New York
University.

Deusas e Deuses Re-visitados
Semestralmente, oferecemos o curso Deusas e Deuses Re-visitados do programa “Mitologia
Através das Lentes Arquetípicas".
É através deste curso que buscamos um olhar mais profundo para se compreender a
complexidade dos arquétipos gregos na cultura ocidental e sua atuação nos dias atuais. É
oferecido um estudo detalhado sobre dezenove arquétipos selecionados com a visão da
psicologia arquetípica, desenvolvida por James Hillman (1926-2011), último discípulo direto de
Carl G. Jung (1875-1961). As deusas e deuses são apresentados e estudados in tanden, pares. O
foco em muitos e diferentes deuses nos permite uma variedade de olhares para melhor
entendermos e lidarmos com as complexidades do mundo contemporâneo. Os mitos são
expressões metafóricas da natureza, dos distintos modos de consciência e estar no mundo.
É ministrado por Luciana Aires Mesquita (MA, Pacifica Graduate Institute, CA), desde 2005. O
curso tem uma carga horária de 32 horas, num total de oito encontros, com quatro horas de
duração.
James Hillman é nosso principal inspirador e a quem agradecemos por toda a eternidade. Dois
dias antes de seu falecimento em 2011, Luciana Aires Mesquita sonhou com ele nu, de cuecas
pretas, em posição vertical, de cabeça para baixo, firme e pronto para seu último mergulho. Belo e
forte! Presenteou-nos de tantas formas. Sagaz, revolucionário e tão amado, inspira-nos para um
real enfrentamento e engajamento rumo ao pleno renascimento da Beleza, com coragem.

Mythology through the archetypal lenses:
Goddesses and Gods Re-visited
Every semester we offer the course Goddesses and Gods Re-visited, part of the Mythology
Through the Archetypal Lenses program.
It is through this course that a deeper vision is acquired to better understand the complexity of the
Greek archetypes in the Western culture and its presence in our everyday life. The course offers a
detailed study on nineteen selected archetypes following the Archetypal Psychology’s vision,
developed by James Hillman (1926-2011), the last direct disciple of Carl Gustav Jung (18751961). The goddesses and gods are presented and studied in tanden, archetypal partners. The
focus on many and different gods gives us a diversity of views to better understand and deal with
the complexities of the contemporary world. Myths are metaphorical expressions of nature, of
different states of consciousness and being in this world.
It is led by Luciana Aires Mesquita (MA, Pacifica Graduate Institute, CA) since 2005. The course
has a total of 32 hours, throughout 8 meetings of 4 hours each.
James Hillman is our main inspiration and to whom we are thankful for all eternity. Two days
before his passing in 2011, Luciana Aires Mesquita had a dream. Hillman was wearing only black
underwear, in upside down position, firm and ready for his last dive. Beautiful and strong! He
provided us with gifts in so many different ways. Wise, revolutionary and beloved, Hillman inspires
us to truly and boldly face up to and engage with the rebirth of Beauty.
Our students and partners have a very important role when engaged in cultivating the soul; they
help us to enlarge our ideas through action that makes us pulsate. All this echoes in our hearts, in
the city and in the world.

1.Introdução
É através da psicologia arquetípica que faremos todo o estudo das deusas e deuses. Neste módulo
introduziremos o olhar arquetípico de James Hillman e os principais colaboradores abordados no curso:
Christine Downing, David Miller, Ginette Paris, Karl Kerényi e Rafael Lopez-Pedraza, além de breves
diferenciações nas visões de Carl Gustav Jung e Joseph Campbell. Nos módulos subsequente detalharemos
os arquétipos a seguir:
2.Héstia & Hermes
Héstia é a deusa do lar e do fogo sagrado. O fogo de Héstia representa o centramento, a ordem, o
equilíbrio e a paz. Hermes, o mensageiro dos deuses, é deus da comunicação, das viagens, do
comércio, o senhor das estradas, o guia das almas.
3.Deméter, Persefone & Hades
Deméter é o arquétipo da mãe, que nutre e protege, deusa das sementes e grãos. Sua filha
Perséfone foi raptada por Hades, fazendo do mundo subterrâneo um lugar sagrado. Em Elêusis
encontra-se o seu santuário, onde se realizavam rituais secretos para enfrentar o medo da morte.
Perséfone nos traz a primavera.
4.Zeus&Hera, Atena
Zeus aceita e abençoa a rica diversidade e complexidade das coisas como elas são. Preside o
mundo politeísta. É o arquétipo do pai, mantendo a ordem sem suprimir a diversidade. Hera,
Rainha dos Céus, esposa de Zeus, preside o Olimpo e está intimamente conectada com o poder.
Apesar de muito mais antiga que Zeus, foi inserida na tradição patriarcal. Atena, deusa da
sabedoria, filha predileta de Zeus, preconiza que educação é poder. Nasceu do cérebro de Zeus.
5.Afrodite, Hefesto & Ares
Deusa da beleza e do amor. Nasceu da espuma do mar e onde pisa, nasce gramíneas. É
acompanhada pelas Graças. Com Afrodite, o divino pode ser visto e escutado, tocado, cheirado e
saboreado. Hefesto, marido de Afrodite, e Ares, amante de Afrodite. Hefesto é o artesão divino.
Tem a arte de trabalhar com o fogo. É o deus dos artistas, sabe transformar dor em ouro.
Transforma o feio em belo, o ferro em ouro, é sensível e intuitivo. Ares é o deus da guerra e
Afrodite reconhece sua força e coragem. No meio da batalha, o amor.
6.Apolo, Dioniso & Pã
Apolo representa a excelência física, o equilíbrio entre mente e corpo. Mantém o sol em curso.
Amante da música e da matemática. Dioniso, deus do teatro, das máscaras, do vinho e do êxtase.
Patrono dos atores. Sensual, revolucionário e libertador. Múltiplo, está presente nos templos de
todos os deuses. Impressionante, um labirinto de emoções. Pã, deus dos pastores, selvagem,
meio homem, meio animal, instintivo e musical é fundamental no teatro com todos os sentidos
aguçados.
7.Ártemis & Asclepius
Ártemis personifica a pureza da natureza em seu aspecto mais selvagem e virgem. Deusa das
águas puras, florestas virgens e protetora dos animais. Protetora das mães e crianças na hora do
parto, é também a deusa do aborto. É portadora do arco e flecha e irmã gêmea de Apolo.
Asclépios é o deus da medicina. Próximo ao bosque de Ártemis, está Epidaurus, o maior centro
de cura do mundo antigo. Era ao mesmo tempo um centro cultural e religioso, uma fundação
hospitalar e um centro social. A cura era recebida durante os sonhos. Ainda se tem hoje o registro
de pelo menos 70 milagres inscritos em pedras.
8.Mnémosine
Mnémosine é uma titânida, personificação da memória e mãe das musas. Sem memória não
temos arte, poesia, dança, tragédias, comédias, música, história e astronomia. Sem Mnemósine
os mitos se dissolvem.
9.Poseidon & Gaia/Encerramento
Poseidon, soberano do mar, rege as ações que demandam o consentimento de forças não
humanas: terremotos, maremotos, tempestades. Gaia é a Deusa mãe primordial. Todas as
deusas estão conectadas com Gaia e com os ciclos da natureza. Com genuína sensibilidade
mitopoética, Gaia é a personificação do planeta Terra e intervém pela vida.

Introduction
It is through the archetypal psychology that we will study all the goddesses and gods. In
this module is given an introduction to the archetypal vision of James Hillman and the main
collaborators: Christine Downing, David Miller, Ginette Paris, Karl Kerényi and Rafael
Lopez-Pedraza, besides some brief differentiations on the vision of Carl Gustav Jung and
Joseph Campbell. To the next modules we will detail the following archetypes:

Hestia & Hermes
Hestia is the goddess of home and hearth. Hestia's fire is centering, ordering, balanced and
peaceful. Hermes, messenger of the gods, is the god of communication, travel, trade, the
lord of the roads, the guide of souls.

Demeter, Hades & Persephone
Demeter is the mother archetype, which nourishes and protects, goddess of seeds and
grains. Her daughter Persephone was abducted by Hades, making the underworld a
sacred place. At Eleusis is their sanctuary, held secret rituals to face the fear of death.
Persephone brings spring.
4.
Zeus & Hera, Athena
Zeus accepts and blesses the rich diversity and complexity of things as they are. Chairs the
polytheistic world. It is the parent archetype, maintaining order without suppressing the
diversity. Hera, queen of heaven, wife of Zeus, chairs the Olympus and is closely
connected with power. Although much older than Zeus, it was inserted into the patriarchal
tradition. Athena, goddess of wisdom, favorite daughter of Zeus, advocates that education
is power. It was born from the brain of Zeus.
5.
Aphrodite, Ares & Hephaestus
Goddess of beauty and love. Born of the sea foam and where she steps, born grasses. It is
accompanied by the Graces. With Aphrodite, the divine can be seen and heard, touched,
smelled and tasted. Hephaestus, the husband of Aphrodite and Ares, Aphrodite's lover.
Hephaestus is the divine craftsman. He has the art of working with fire. He is the god of
artists, knows how to transform pain into gold. Turns the ugly into beautiful, iron into gold, is
sensitive and intuitive. Ares is the god of war and Aphrodite recognizes his strength and
courage. In the midst of battle, love.

Apollo, Dionysus & Pan
Apollo represents the physical excellence, the balance between mind and body. It keeps
the sun in progress. Lover of music and mathematics. Dionysus, god of theater, masks,
wine and ecstasy. Patron saint of actors. Sensual, revolutionary and liberating. Multiple, it is
present in the temples of all the gods. Striking a maze of emotions. Pan, god of shepherds,
wild, half man, half animal, instinctive and musical is essential in the theater with all the
heightened senses.

Artemis & Asclepius
Artemis embodies the purity of nature at its wildest and virgin aspect. Goddess of pure
waters, virgin forests and protector of animals. Protector of mothers and children in
childbirth, is also the goddess of abortion. She carries the archery and is twin sister of
Apollo. Asclepius is the god of medicine. Near the grove of Artemis, is Epidaurus, the most
healing center of the ancient world. It was both a religious and cultural center, hospital
foundation and a social center. The cure was received in dreams. Still today has the record
at least 70 miracles inscribed on stones.

Mnemosyne
Mnemosyne is a titanese, the personification of memory and mother of the muses. Without
memory we have no poetry, dance, tragedies, comedies, music, history and astronomy.
Without Mnemosyne myths dissolve.
9.
Poseidon & Gaia / Closing
Poseidon, ruler of the sea, governs the actions that require the consent of non-human
forces: earthquakes, tsunamis, storms. Gaia is the goddess primordial mother. All
goddesses are connected to Gaia and the cycles of nature. With a genuine mythopoiesis
sensitivity, Gaia is the personification of the planet Earth and for life intervenes.

This is a special workshop based on the C G Jung’s depth psychology and the work of
BodySoulRhythms created by Marion Woodman (Canada) and her collaborators Mary Hamilton
and Ann Skinner. Marcia Bittencourt, through her work with dreams, the body, voice and creative
imagination, will weave the myth of Eros & Psyche and develop it with us, as a theme chosen in
Course I, on the myth of Aphrodite. Marcia Bittencourt’s work has it ́s roots in Jungian theory,
dance-theatre, Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education, Eutony, Authentic Movement, among
others. She is an international trainee of the Marion Woodman Foundation intensives in Ireland
and Mexico.

Incubações de Sonhos – Epifanias Oníricas, é uma vivência oferecida anualmente pelo Dr.
Marcos Callia em parceria com Luciana Aires Mesquita. Callia é psiquiatra e analista junguiano
(SBPA-SP). A vivência oferecida na Mitoludens tem duração de três ou quatro dias intensivos para
incubação de sonhos , considerando as imagens sonhadas como “imagens vivas”. Tem como
premissa básica engajar-se com a imagem e deixar que ela fale por si própria. Aprecia-se os
sonhos com sua sabedoria, autonomia e sensibilidade, oferecendo a possibilidade de abrirmo-nos
às̀ nossas próprias experiências de forma mais profunda. Quando “cuidamos” das imagens de
nossos sonhos, essas se tornam “acordadas” para a imaginação e linguagem simbólica e
metafórica da psique multidimensional. Os arquétipos de Asclepius (deus da medicina) e
Perséfone (rainha dos sonhos), dentre outros arquétipos que vão sendo desvelados ao longo da
jornada pessoal de cada participante são abordados por Luciana Aires Mesquita, que segue os
ensinamentos de Stephen Aizenstat através do Dream Tending®.
Depth Psychology: Dream Incubation – Oneiric Epiphanies

Dream Incubation- Oneiric Epiphanies is an immersion proposed annualy by Dr. Marcos Callia in
partnership with Luciana Aires Mesquita. Callia is a psychiatrist and Jungian analyst (SBPA-SP).
The meeting lasts 3 - 4 intense days of dream incubation, considering dream images as “live
images.” Its basic premise is to be engaged with the images and let them speak for themselves in
order to appreciate the dream with its own wisdom, autonomy and sensibility. It offers us the
possibility of openness towards a vertical in-depth journey, in order to comprehend the essence of
our own experiences. When we care for our dream images, they become awake in our
imagination, and bring symbolic and metaphorical values to the psyche ́s multidimensional
language. The archetype of Asclepius (god of medicine) and Persephone (queen of dreams),
among other archetypes unveiled during each participant’s personal journey are approached by
Luciana Aires Mesquita who also follows the guidance of Stephen Aizenstat’s teachings through
Dream Tending.®

Henry Corbin, depois de Carl Gustav Jung, segundo James Hillman, é o principal inspirador da
psicologia arquetípica.
Esse curso pretende oferecer uma visão geral da filosofia de Henry Corbin, um dos principais
hermeneutas ocidentais do sufismo (a mística islâmica), dando especial enfoque para a questão
do exílio da alma no espaço exterior – no espaço público ou no espaço concebido como extensão
pura –, assim como para a da reversão do estado de exílio através do desvelamento do domínio
quase esquecido da alma e da Pessoa.
A hegemonia da racionalidade materialista ocidental recalcou a mística para o campo do
irracionalismo e o real foi reduzido a apenas duas dimensões: o inteligível e o sensível. Na
modernidade assolada pelo nihilismo, somente o que é acessado pela razão ou pelos sentidos
passou a merecer o nome de real. Os espaços da alma – a imaginação, as intuições, a
espiritualidade, os sentimentos, os sonhos, o instinto, a criatividade, etc – foram perdidos, fazendo
com que a humanidade se sinta oprimida pela impessoalidade do mundo sem alma – o mundo
que a humanidade agora domina inteiramente mas já não habita. Ao servir-se do mundo para
desenvolver a técnica e a economia, a humanidade se despovoa de si mesmo enquanto pessoa,
enquanto presença, enquanto individualidade própria, concreta, singular, subjetiva e única. Sem
lar, sem casa, sem mundo, a humanidade encontra-se para Corbin em estado de exílio e em risco
de perder sua alma e sua condição de “Pessoa”.
Henry Corbin descobre no Oriente um conceito que representa o continente perdido para a
modernidade: o Mundus Imaginalis. Esse mundo intermediário, que não pode ser confundido com
o “imaginário” pura e simplesmente, quando acessado, provê as condições para a reintegração do
mundo na alma, a interiorização espiritual e pela volta do exílio. O esquecimento do ser e do
domínio da alma e do espírito característico do mundo moderno que tanto ameaça a vida
propriamente dita no planeta – tanto a vida anímica quanto a física – é diagnosticado e
denunciado pela obra de Corbin, que leva nosso olhar interior para o Oriente – o oriente dos
mestres sufis e o oriente de nossa própria alma.
Através desse olhar, voltado para nosso fundamento transcendente, nosso cerne supra-humano,
podemos realizar a mudança de perspectiva proposta por Corbin e pelos filósofos místicos que ele
pretende ser porta-voz: passar do estado de estar-lançado fora de nosso Si-mesmo, assimilados
à exterioridade impessoal, para o estado de alma que habita o paraíso de seu próprio ser.
O curso consiste de oito aulas de 90 minutos, num total de 12 horas.

Henry Corbin, after Carl Gustav Jung, according to James Hillman, is the main inspiration of
archetypal psychology.
This course aims to provide an overview of the philosophy of Henry Corbin, a leading Western
Sufism hermeneuts (Islamic mysticism), giving special attention to the question of exile of the soul
in outer space - in public space or space designed as pure extension - as well as the reversal of
the state of exile through the unveiling of the almost forgotten realm of soul and person.
The hegemony of Western materialistic rationality repressed the mystical to the irrationalism of the
field and the real has been reduced to only two dimensions: the intelligible and sensible. In
modernity beset by nihilism, which is only accessed by reason or by the senses began to receive
real name. The spaces of the soul - the imagination, intuitions, spirituality, feelings, dreams,
instinct, creativity, etc - have been lost, making humanity feel overwhelmed by the impersonality of
the world without soul - the world that humankind now dominates completely but no longer lives.
While serving up the world to develop the technique and the economy, humankind depopulates of
him/herself as a person while presence, while individuality itself, concrete, singular, subjective and
unique. Homeless, humankind is to Corbin in exile status and at risk of losing its soul and its status
as a "person".
Henry Corbin finds in the East a concept that represents the continent lost to modernity: the
Mundus Imaginalis. This intermediate world, which can not be confused with the "imaginary" quite
simply, provides the conditions for reintegration of the world in the soul, the spiritual internalization
and the return from exile. The forgetfulness of being and the soul domain and the ethos of the
modern world that both threatens life itself on the planet - both mental life as physical - is
diagnosed and denounced in the work of Corbin, which leads our gaze to the East - the east of the
Sufi masters and the east of our own soul.
Through this vision, facing our transcendent foundation, our superhuman heart, we can make the
change of perspective proposed by Corbin and the mystical philosophers who he claims to be
spokesman: passage of state of being released out of our Self assimilated to the impersonal
externality to the state of mind that inhabits the paradise of his/her own being.

Temos, segundo Jung, quatro funções psíquicas - pensamento, sentimento, intuição e
sensação. Duas funções são de natureza linear e outras duas são de natureza não linear.
Dessas quatro funções temos duas mais desenvolvidas, que se localizam em nossa porção
consciente. E duas menos desenvolvidas, que se localizam em nosso inconsciente.
Na construção dos tipos psicológicos, as funções se permutam sobre uma base - que Jung
denomina - atitudes - e que são disposições herdadas. Essas atitudes são apenas duas e ele as
intitula de introversão e extroversão. São modalidades constitutivas e já nascemos em uma
ou em outra. Essa atitude básica de disposição constitutiva, define nosso modo de viver,
perceber e construir conhecimento.
Conhecer com precisão e clareza esse tema, nos ajuda a integrar as funções
inconscientes e a nos precaver das limitações constitutivas de nossa base nascitura. O curso é
composto de seis encontros de quatro horas.
Angelina Vargas, socióloga e psicóloga, é uma estudiosa autodidata desde sua
adolescência. Seu espírito inquieto convive com algumas obras muito intensamente - Jung,
Heidegger, Kierkegaard e Merleau-Ponty como fontes ocidentais, e como fontes orientais,
mestres Sufis como Hakin-Sanai, Rumi, Attar, All-Gazzalli e Omar Ali Shah. Ela está também

We have, according to Jung, four psyche functions – thinking, feeling, intuition and feeling. Two
functions are linear in nature and the other two are non-linear in nature. From these four functions,
we have two that are more developed and conscious. The two less developed are
unconscious.The construction of psychological types functions are exchanged on a base that Jung
calls attitudes that are inherited. These attitudes are just two and he calls it introversion and
extroversion. Those are basic and constitutional attitudes define our way of life and are builders of
knowledge.
Knowning precisely and clearly this topic, helps us to integrate the unconscious functions and
saves us from the limitative constitutive base. This course has six meetings of four hours.
Angelina Vargas, a sociologist and psychologist, is a self-taught scholar since her teens. Her
restless spirit lives intensely with deep thinkers such as Jung, Heidegger, Kierkegaard and
Merleau-Ponty as Western sources, and from Eastern sources, Sufi masters such as Hakim Sanai,
Rumi, Attar, All-Gazzalli and Omar Ali Shah. She is leading our RoundTable Jung on Sundays at
Café Jardim Bom Demais, at the Brasilia Botanic Garden.

Arquétipos Desvelados no Teatro e Cinema

Assistimos à uma seleção de filmes que revelam os arquétipos estudados no curso Deusas e
Deuses Re-visitados. Temos aqui a oportunidade de ver os arquétipos gregos com linguagem
contemporânea. A visão do diretor, através das pausas, música, imagens e conteúdos
subliminares, revelam padrões arquetípicos por excelência. Em um bom filme, nos engajamos e
somos transportados para o reino dos arquétipos. Ao final do curso, os participantes são
incentivados a trazer e analisar filmes de sua própria escolha. Este curso é oferecido a cada dois
anos e tem o pré-requisito de ter concluído o Curso Deusas e Deuses Re-visitados, uma vez que
o refinamento do olhar arquetípico é necessário. Estamos estudando a possibilidade de acoplá-lo
à Mesa Redonda Joseph Campbell.

Unveiled Archetypes in Theatre and Cinema

In this course, a selection of films reveals the archetypes studied in the course Goddesses and
Gods Re-visited. We have the opportunity to experience, the Greek archetypes in a contemporary
language. We investigate the director’s vision, through pauses, music, images and subliminal
contents, unveiling a language of archetypal themes and patterns par excellence. A good film
engages and transports us to the realm of archetypes. At the end of this course, participants will be
encouraged to bring and analyze films of their own choice. This course is offered every two years
and has the Goddesses and Gods Re-visited course as pre- requisite, as long as a refined
archetypal perception is required. We are studying the possibility of bringing this course to the
RoundTable Joseph Campbell.

Deusas, Deuses, Alquimia & Cores

A proposta é trazer os estudos da mitologia para as fases da alquimia, com o olhar da psicologia
arquetípica nas artes visuais. Serão revelados os arquétipos, deusas e deuses da mitologia grega,
que se relacionam com as quatro cores da alquimia – preto, branco, amarelo, vermelho e duas
intermedárias - abraçando a opus alquímica: nigredo, albedo, xanthosis ou citrinitas e rubedo ou
iosis.
Apesar de Hermes Trimesgistus ser o mais conhecido no estudo da alquimia, há diferentes
deuses para cada fase, enriquecendo e trazendo diversidade para uma visão e pesquisa mais
abrangente. Além do estudo das fases alquímicas, relacionando-as às deusas e deuses da
mitologia grega, exemplos de obras artísticas, especialmente selecionadas, serão apresentadas
para cada fase. Convidaremos outro pesquisador da área para compor o trabalho, além de um
artista(s) ou galeria engajados na opus para o desvelar das imagens com um olhar mais profundo,
criando mais significado para nossa herança e produção cultural.
Mythology in the Visual Arts:
Goddesses, Gods, Alchemy&Colors

The purpose of this course is to bring mythological studies to the alchemical phases, through the
lenses of archetypal psychology in the visual arts. The archetypes, goddesses and gods from
Greek mythology, will be unveiled and related to the four alchemical colors – black, white, yellow
and red – embracing the alchemical opus: nigredo, albedo, xanthosis or citrinitas and rubedo or
iosis and two other complementary colors.
Although Hermes Trimegistus is the most well-known in alchemical studies, there are different
gods for each phase, enriching and bringing diversity to an advanced vision and research. Besides
the study of alchemical phases and relating them to the Greek mythological goddesses and gods,
we will present selected examples of artwork for each phase. We will invite a researcher on this
field of study to join us, besides an artist(s) and/or an art gallery engaged in opus to unveil images
with a deeper vision, creating more meaning to our heritage and cultural production.
Teatro&Mito
Nosso olhar está, fundamentalmente, nas artes. Foi no teatro que Luciana Aires Mesquita
descobriu os mitos e a psicologia arquetípica. Lendo as tragédias&comédias gregas e estudando
Artaud, Grotowski, Eugenio Barba, Peter Brook e Ariane Mnouchkine enquanto fazia seu
bacharelado em Artes Cênicas na UnB, descobriu que as raizes do teatro oriental estão vivas e
ainda pulsam. Assim, foi ao Japão, Índia e Indonésia numa viagem de nove meses em 1995. No
Japão, teve aulas com Kazuo Ohno (Butoh), Kanichi Hanayagi (Buyo) e Kanze Akio (Noh). Na
Índia teve uma imersão no Kathakali (no Kerala Kalamandalam). E na Indonésia, Bali, teve aulas
particulares de Baris, com Cristina Wistari Formaggia. Retorna ao Brasil e logo viaja novamente
para uma intensivo com o Odin Teatret, dirigido por Eugênio Barba na Dinamarca em 1997 e
depois com Enrique Pardo, na França, diretor do Panthéâtre.
Desde 1998, quando realizou o intensivo residencial, sob a direção de Enrique Pardo e Liza
Mayer, no Chateâu de Malérargues, no sul da França, que Luciana e Enrique desenvolveram
amizade e parceria. Atualmente, Enrique Pardo e Linda Wise são os diretores do Panthéâtre,
fundado em 1981. Oferecem workshops, treinamentos e coordenam projetos individuais de longa
duração, além de organizar simpósios e o Festival Mito & Teatro. James Hillman é o presidente de
honra do Festival Mito & Teatro, criado em 1987, juntamente com pensadores da psicologia
arquetípica e estudos culturais.
Os estudos da mitologia e alquimia têm forte influência no trabalho do ator e modus vivendi do
Panthêátre. Por ocasião do falecimento de James Hillman, Enrique Pardo escreveu uma carta
aberta em homenagem ao seu grande amigo e inspirador. A última visita do Panthéâtre ao Brasil,
foi por ocasião do Cena Contemporânea 2011, em Brasília, mas já esteve também em Campinas
(Prof. Verônica Fabrini-UNICAMP) e em Goiânia (Prof. Alexandre Nunes-UFG).
A Mitoludens necessita renovar esta parceria tão preciosa e estará trazendo Enrique Pardo para
mais uma revivificação dos deuses no teatro. Paralelamente, Enrique Pardo está organizando na
França o simpósio Grotowski, Barba & Hillman para 2016/2017. Enrique Pardo foi convidado e
aceitou vir ao Brasil em novembro de 2016 para o encontro internacional em Brasília, Grotowski,
Bausch, Pardo & Hillman. Jolanta Juszkiewicz foi também convidada e aceitou abranger Jerzy
Grotowski. Um outro nome internacional está sendo estudado para Pina Bausch.
Previamente, Luciana Aires Mesquita oferecerá oficinas de teatro utilizando as técnicas de
Enrique Pardo, além de outras influências inspiradoras e linguagens afins. Contará com a
participação especial de Angelina Vargas com o trabalho “Corpo Sutil”. Parcerias com a UnB,
IESB, IFF e Faculdade Dulcina de Moraes estão sendo consideradas.
André Luiz Oliveira, cineasta, dirigiu uma série de videos, por ocasião da visita do Enrique Pardo
no Brasil e Chile em 2011. Nossos agradecimentos. Tomara que esteja conosco novamente!
Theatre&Myth
Our fundamental lenses are in the arts. It was through theatre that Luciana Aires Mesquita found
the myths and the archetypal psychology. Reading the Greek tragedies&comedies, and studying
Artaud, Grotowski, Peter Brook and Ariane Mnouchkine while studying Theatre Arts at University of
Brasilia (UnB), she found out that the Eastern roots of theatre are still alive and pulsates. In this
way, she took a journey of 9 months visiting Japan, India and Indonesia in 1995. In Japan, she had
classes with Kazuo Ohno (Butoh), Kanichi Hanayagi (Buyo) and Kanze Akio (Noh). In India she
had an immersion on Kathakali (at Kerala Kalamandalam). And in Indonesia, Bali, she had private
classes with Cristina Wistari Formaggia, on Baris. Luciana returned to Brasil and soon travels
again to take an intensive with Eugênio Barba, Odin Teatret in Dennmark in 1997 and with Enrique
Pardo, director of Pantheatre, France.
Since 1998, after participating in the residencial intensive under the direction of Enrique Pardo
and Liza Mayer at Chateâu de Malérargues, southern France, Luciana and Enrique became
friends and developed a partnership. Enrique Pardo and Linda Wise are the directors of
Pantheatre, founded in 1981. They offer workshops, trainee and long term individual projects, as
well as organizing symposiums and the Myth&Theatre Festival. James Hillman is the honorary
president of the Myth&Theatre Festival, created in 1987, together with a group of thinkers in
Archetypal Psychology and cultural studies.
Mythological studies and alchemy have a strong influence in the work and modus vivendi of
Pantheatre. When James Hillman died in 2011, Enrique Pardo wrote an open letter in honor of his
dear friend and inspirer. The last visit of Pantheatre to Brazil was in 2011 at Cena Contemporânea
in Brasilia, but had visited before Campinas (Prof. Verônica Fabrini-UNICAMP) and Goiânia (Prof.
Alexandre Nunes-UFG).
Mytholudens needs to renew this precious partnership and we are bringing Enrique Pardo to Brasil
to revivify the gods in theatre with us. At the same time, Enrique Pardo is organizing in France, the
symposium on Grotowski, Barba & Hillman for the year 2016/2017. Enrique Pardo accepted our
invitation to come in November 2016 for the international meeting in Brasilia on Grotowski, Bausch,
Pardo & Hillman. Besides Pardo, Jolanta Juszkiewicz was also invited and accepted to cover Jerzy
Grotowski; and another name is under study to Pina Bausch.
Previouly, Luciana Aires Mesquita will be offering theatre workshops using Pantheatre techniques,
besides other inspiring influences and commom languages. It will have the special participation of
Angelina Vargas, with the work “Subtle Body”. Partnership with UnB, IESB, IFF and Dulcina de
Moraes Faculty are under analysis.
André Luiz Oliveira, movie maker, directed a serie of videos when Enrique Pardo visited Brazil and

Mytholudens is in the process of creating three monthly open groups meetings, carried out at
different places, on Sundays, and/or alternative dates and spaces chosen by the group or partners.
The Joseph Campbell Foundation - Mythological Round Tables®: Group of Brasilia happens at
Toca da Cura; The RoundTable for the study of Carl Gustav Jung, starting by studying The Red
Book: Liber Novus is openning in October/2015 at Café Jardim Bom Demais, no Jardim Botânico
de Brasilia; and the RoundTableTheatre is being produced for the international meeting on
Grotowski, Bausch, Pardo & Hillman and workshops.

Joseph Campbell, queridíssimo, recebeu rosas brancas em duas performances realizadas por
Luciana Aires Mesquita dentro da Biblioteca Joseph Campbell no Pacifica Graduate Institute, na
California, em 1999 e 2001. A Mitoludens iniciou uma parceria com Joseph Campbell Foundation
e inaugurou a Mythological Round Table®: Grupo de Brasilia-DF, continuando com a tradição das
rosas brancas exalando perfume, poesia, alegria, exalando Campbell, exalando mitologia.
A proposta da JCF Mythological Round Tables®: Cinema, Mitos & Jazz aos Domingos com Joe! é
aprofundar os estudos deixados por Joseph Campbell de forma interativa, aberta, com uma visão
multicultural e network internacional, fazendo diálogos com áreas afins, além de atuar como uma
extensão e aprofundamento dos assuntos mitológicos desenvolvidos na Mitoludens. É uma
iniciativa liderada por Luciana Aires Mesquita, aprovada pela JCF para formar uma JCF MRT® em

Abrimos o semestre com o documentário Finding Joe, inédito no Brasil, e temos a proposta de
assistir outros filmes que têm como roteiro a jornada do herói, além da discussão da obra O Herói
de Mil Faces, de Joseph Campbell. A cada encontro um artista é convidado para apresentar seu
trabalho e falar de sua jornada. Iniciamos os encontros uma vez ao mês e os participantes
pediram para serem realizados quinzenalmente. Um presente!
Temos como proposta de, ao menos uma vez por ano, receber um convidado especial (nacional
ou internacional) para aprofundar ou abrir algum tema de interesse do grupo. Edvaldo Pereira
Lima (SP), professor na USP e professor-visitante na Universidade de Antioquia, em Medellín,
Colômbia, oferece todos os anos o curso de Jornalismo Literário Avançado, com base na Jornada
do Herói, adaptada como estrutura narrativa e de compreensão dos processos dinâmicos das
histórias de vida reais. Estamos nos organizando para recebê-lo em nossa JCF MRT®: Grupo de
Brasilia-DF em 2016/2017.
Encontrando Joe
Encontrando Joe é um documentário com duração de 80 minutos, dirigido por Patrick Takaya
Solomon, produzido em 2011. No início do século XX, enquanto estudava mitologia, Joseph
Campbell descobriu um padrão que se apresenta em toda estória contada e nomeou este padrão
de “a jornada do herói”. O documentário explora os estudos de Campbell sobre este tema, numa
série de entrevistas sobre os impactos deste mito em nossa cultura. Os desafios, medos, dragões,
batalhas e o retorno à casa como uma pessoa já transformada é atuada por um grupo de
crianças, entrelaçando os assuntos, estórias e cenas de filmes clássicos.

Ezequiel Nogueira Braga, psicólogo clínico, gestalt-terapeuta, terapeuta comunitário e estudante
da Mitoludens em Brasília – DF, juntamente com Maya Bellomo Johnson, tradutora de inglêsportuguês com formação em psicologia, especializada em traduções acadêmicas nas áreas da
ciências humanas e da saúde, traduziram e editaram o filme Finding Joe para a língua portuguesa
(legendas). Todo esse trabalho foi feito para abrir nossa Mesa Redonda.

Dearest Joseph Campbell, who received white roses in two performances by Luciana Aires
Mesquita at the Joseph Campbell Library at Pacifica Graduate Institute, California, in 1999 and
2001. Mitoludens has established a partnership with The Joseph Campbell Foundation and
opened the Mythological Round Table ®: Group of Brasilia-DF, continuing with the tradition of
offering white roses emanating perfume, poetry and joy, blessing Campbell, blessing mythology.
JCF Mythological Round Tables®: Group of Brasilia: Cinema, Myth & Jazz on Sundays with Joe! is
a proposal to study Campbell’s work in an interactive, open, multicultural vision and through an
international network, serving as a bridge for dialogue with correlated areas and also functioning as
an extension for deepening the mythological subjects developed at Mytholudens.This is an
initiative led by Luciana Aires Mesquita, approved from the JCF to lead a JCF MRT® in Brasilia.

MRT® in Brasilia was opened with the documentary Finding Joe - not yet released in Brazil. The
intention is to continue presenting other films following the hero’s pattern, as we are reading the
book The Hero of Thousand Faces. To each meeting an artist is invited to present his/her work and
to talk about his/her own journey. Our meetings was happening once a month and we were asked
to make it happen quinzenal. A gift!
We have the proposal of inviting at least one special national or international guest per year to
deepen a subject of interest for the group or to open a new subject. Edvaldo Pereira Lima,
professor at USP and Universidad de Antioquia, Medellín, Colômbia, offers the course on
Advanced Literary Journalism based on the “Hero Journey,” adapting it as narrative structure and
understanding of the dynamic processes of real life stories. We are organizing to receive him in our
JCF MRT®: Group of Brasilia-DF in 2016/2017.
Finding Joe
Finding Joe is an 80 minute-long documentary, directed by Patrick Takaya Solomon, produced in
2011. In the early 20th century, while studying world mythology, Joseph Campbell discovered a
pattern hidden in every story ever told, which he called “the hero’s journey”. The documentary
follows stages of this pattern, exploring Campbell’s studies in a serie of interviews about its
continuing impact on our culture. The challenges, fears, dragons, battles, and the return home as a
changed person, is acted by a group of children interspersed with subjects, stories and scenes of

Ezequiel Nogueira Braga, clinical psychologist, gestalt-therapist, community therapist, and who
also studies at Mitoludens-Brasília and Maya Bellomo Johnson, an English-Portuguese translator
with a degree in Psychology, specialized in academic translations in the fields of Humanities and
Health Sciences, translated and edited the film Finding Joe into Portuguese language. All this work
was made to open our RoundTable.

Nossa Mesa Redonda de Jung abrirá com o Livro Vermelho – Liber Novus, o volume em
iluminuras, chamado por Jung de “confronto com o inconsciente”, a obra mais inédita e importante
da história da psicologia.

Convidamos Angelina Vargas para liderar esta Mesa Redonda de estudos sobre O Livro
Vermelho. Angelina Vargas trabalha com corpo em RPG e Osteopatia Articular desde 1884 em
Brasília-DF. É também graduada em Sociologia e Psicologia. Angelina é uma estudiosa
autodidata desde sua adolescência. Seu espírito inquieto convive com algumas obras muito
intensamente: Jung, Heidegger, Kierkegaard e Merleau-Ponty como fontes ocidentais, e como
fontes orientais, os mestres Sufis como Hakin-Sanai, Rumi, Attar e All-Gazzalli, além de Omar Ali
Shah.

Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), swiss psychiatrist, extraordinary artist, a poet of soul and visionary.
Our RoundTable: Jung will be open with The Red Book – Liber Novus, the illuminated volume,
called by him “confrontation with the unconscious,” is the most important work in psychology
history.
“The years, of which I have spoken to you, when I pursued the inner images, were the most
important time of my life. Everything else is to be derived from this. It began at that time, and the
later details hardly matter anymore. My entire life consisted in elaborating what had burst forth
from the unconscious and flooded me like an enigmatic stream and threatened to break me. That
was the stuff and material for more than only one life. Everything later was merely the outer

We invited Angelina Vargas to lead this RoundTable studies on The Red Book by Jung. Angelina
Vargas works with body in RPG and Osteopathy since 1884 in Brasília-DF. He also graduated in
Sociology and Psychology. Angelina is a self-taught scholar since her teens. His restless spirit
lives intensely with the works of: Jung, Heidegger, Kierkegaard and Merleau-Ponty as Western
sources, and as Eastern sources, the Sufi masters like Hakin-Sanai, Rumi, Attar, All-Gazzalli and
Omar Ali Shah.

A Mesa Redonda Teatro-Dança estará oferecendo oficinas para atores profissionais e iniciantes e
será um grupo aberto de pessoas que queiram estar engajadas com o trabalho corporal sugerido
por Grotowski, Eugênio Barba, Pina Bausch e Enrique Pardo, além do pensador James Hillman.
Luciana Aires Mesquita estará oferecendo workshops com a participação especial de Angelina
Vargas com o trabalho “Corpo Sutil”, e estaremos nos organizando para a realização do encontro
internacional a ser realizado em novembro de 2016, em Brasília-DF: Grotowski, Bausch, Pardo &
Hillman, com a presença já confirmada de Enrique Pardo (França) e Jolanta Juszkiewicz
(Polônia). Mais um nome internacional está sendo estudado para abranger Pina Bausch.
Parcerias com a UnB, IESB, IFF e Faculdade Dulcina de Moraes estão sendo consideradas.

This RoundTable will be offering workshops to professional actors and beginners and it will be
open to people who are engaged with the body work suggested by Grotowski, Eugênio Barba,
Pina Bausch and Enrique Pardo, besides James Hillman. Luciana Aires Mesquita will be offering
workshops with the special participation of Angelina Vargas with the work “Subtle Body” and will
be organizing the international meeting to take place in Brasilia-DF in November 2016 with the
presence of Enrique Pardo (France) and Jolanta Juszkiewicz (Poland). Another international guest
will be invited to Pina Bausch. Partnership with UnB, IESB, IFF and Dulcina de Moraes Faculty are
under analysis.

POESIA
Em 2003 foi gravado o CD Rumi Hafiz Cora, composto por 15 poemas, num total de 64 minutos.
Uma idealização de Luciana Aires Mesquita, que também interpretou, selecionou e traduziu os
poemas. A música original é de Guilherme Vaz. O CD pode ser adquirido na Mitoludens, Livraria
Cultura, Unipaz: Brasilia-DF e Amazon.com.
Oito poemas são do Jelaluddin Rumi, sec. XIII, 1207-1273, nasceu na província de Balkh, no
Afeganistão, viveu e morreu em Konya, na Turquia. Rumi é o mais importante poeta da mística
sufi e pertence à linhagem dos grandes gênios da literatura universal. Rumi foi o fundador da
Ordem Mevlevi, cujos membros são conhecidos como Dervixes Girantes e que participam de
dança matematicamente precisa em atmosfera de completa serenidade. Rumi expandiu seus
ensinamentos por versos e conversações espontâneas registradas por seus discípulos após de
dedicarem ao longo de toda a noite à dança do giro. Seus poemas, prazerosos e profundos são
totalmente atuais no sentido de expandir a consciência do ser. As traduções e interpretações para
o português são de Luciana Aires Mesquita, a partir das traduções em inglês de Colemann Barks
e Kabir Helminski. Dois poemas já estavam traduzidos e nos foi concedido por José Jorge
Carvalho.
Seis poemas são de Shams-ud-din Muhammed Hafiz, sec. XIV, 1320-1389, nasceu e viveu na
cidade de Shiraz, no Irã. Padeiro, professor, poeta e mestre. Apesar de ser pouco conhecido no
Ocidente, sua coleção de poemas é clássica na literatura persa. Estas versões em português são
inéditas no Brasil. Hafiz tem o dom de nos trazer alegria numa celebração da vida. É o inigualável
poeta que nos convida e nos encoraja a experenciar as maiores delícias divinas: a beleza e o
amor. Todos os poemas foram traduzidos para o português por Luciana Aires Mesquita, a partir
das traduções e interpretação em inglês de Daniel Ladinsky.
Finalmente, Cora Coralina, 1889-1985, Goiás, Brasil. Do interior goiano, Cora descobre a alma da
natureza universal com a simplicidade e humildade das pedras e sementes. Humanamente lírica,
sábia, delicada e forte, do coração do Brasil. Apenas um poema, Oração do Milho, mas de
tamanha beleza e fortaleza, foi selecionado servindo como “esteio de aroeira” para que Luciana
Aires Mesquita, também goiana, interpretasse poesia persa em axis mundi com sua cultura raiz.
Agradecimentos especiais aos poetas, tradutores, músicos e todos que colaboraram para a
realização deste trabalho. Tivemos o patrocínio do FAC-DF. Estamos preparando para uma
segunda edição, uma vez que estamos nos nossos últimos 50 exemplares. Temos ainda a

POETRY
In 2003, the CD Rumi Hafiz Cora was recorded, composed of 15 poems, totaling 64 minutes. A
production by Luciana Aires Mesquita who also read, selected and translated the poems. The

Eight poems are by Jelaluddin Rumi, XIII century, 1207-1273, born in the province of Balkh in
Afghanistan, and who lived and died in Konya, Turkey. Rumi is the most important poet of sufi
mysticism and belongs to the lineage of grand geniuses of universal literature. Rumi was the
founder of the Mevlevi Order, and its members are recognized as Whirling Dervishes who
participate in the mathemathical dances, precise in atmosphere and complete serenity. Rumi
broadened his teachings using verses and spontaneous dialogues registered by his dedicated
disciples throughout the night of whirling dances. His poems, delightful and profound, are totally up
to date in the sense of conscience expansion. The Portuguese translations and versions are by
Luciana Aires Mesquita, through the translations in English by Colemann Barks and Kabir
Helminski. Two poems were already translated and given to us by José Jorge Carvalho.
Six poems are by Shams-ud-din Muhammed Hafiz, XIV century, 1320-1389, who was born and
lived in the city of Shiraz, Iran. He was a baker, teacher, poet and master. Although he is not very
well known in Western culture, his poems are Persian literature classics. Those Portuguese
versions were first recorded in Brazil. Hafiz has the talent of bringing us joy, in a celebration of life.
He is the unequaled poet who invites and encourages us to experience the divine delights of
beauty and love. All the Portuguese translations are by Luciana Aires Mesquita through the
translation and English version by Daniel Ladinsky.
Finally, Cora Coralina, 1889-1985, Goias, Brazil. From the interior of Goias, Cora discovers the
universal soul in nature with simplicity and humbleness through stones and seeds. She is lyrical,
wise, delicate and strong, coming from the heart of Brazil. Only one poem was selected, “Corn
Prayer”, and served also as an “aroeira buttress” to Luciana Aires Mesquita, also born in the same
state of Goiás, to read Persian poetry in axis mundi with her root culture.

Onde as deusas e deuses brincam - Parte I: Sítios arqueológicos (2012) é um vídeo de 8
minutos, dirigido por Luciana Aires Mesquita que escreveu e narrou o texto sobre as várias deusas
e deuses localizados em seus sítios arqueológicos na Grécia. A Parte I apresenta uma introdução
ao olhar arquetípico através dos mitos e os deuses Gaia, Mnemósine, Apolo, Hera, Zeus e
Hermes. É uma montagem a partir de fotografias tiradas em viagem à Grécia e alguns museus
visitados por Luciana Aires Mesquita e Liloye Boubli. Hermusche editou e digitalizou cada
imagem, ajustando-as ao texto e música. Este video não seria possível sem seu trabalho e
presença. Este trabalho foi realizado em homenagem ao James Hillman e apresentado na
Embaixada da Grécia, Brasilia, DF. Necessitamos produzir e finalizar a Parte II.
Amada Mnemósine (2008), é um video de 7 minutos, dirigido por Liloye Boubli em parceria com
Luciana Aires Mesquita. Trata-se de uma reflexão sobre as inundações causadas pelas
construções de usinas hidroelétricas em sítios arqueológicos -- habitat de nossos ancestrais
indígenas que gravaram, em rocha, as primeiras inscrições da alma essencialmente brasileira.
Esses registros vêm sendo dramaticamente perdidos pelo impacto das inundações, em total
desconsideração de nossa memória ancestral. Mnemósine é a personificação da memória pelos
gregos. Na mitologia, esta titânida é a mãe das musas. Sem memória não há arte. As imagens
foram gravadas em 1995, por ocasião da expedição para pesquisa de campo realizada por
Luciana Aires Mesquita para a peça teatral “Oreades”, uma adaptação de poemas selecionados
da primeira obra de Guimarães Rosa, Magma. Rui Faquini e Elyeser Szturm cederam várias
fotografias para composição do video e Liloye Boubli adicionou imagens aéreas. Cláudio Vinícius
compôs a trilha musical, Toninho Alves foi nosso câmera e Rodrigo Benevello o editor.

Borboletas Azuis (1995) é um video de 65 minutos, formato Betacam SP. Foi o primeiro video
dirigido por Luciana Aires Mesquita, que estava de partida ao Oriente para uma pesquisa sobre as
raízes do teatro no Japão, Índia e Indonésia. Antes da viagem, que durou nove meses, Luciana
teve o cuidado de registrar em imagens a memória de sua cidade natal, Catalão-GO. A música
original é de Guilherme Vaz e a realização do CPCE – UnB, com a direção do queridíssimo e
excepcional fotógrafo, Fernando Duarte. Necessitamos colocá-lo em midia digital e editar uma
versão mais curta.
Dedicamos esta página ao amigo Sérgio Bernardes, diretor de Tamboro. Ele tem um lugar
especial e para sempre em nossos corações e alma. Em 2007, a pré-estréia do belíssimo filme

VIDEOS
Onde as deusas e deuses brincam - Parte I: Sítios arqueológicos (2012) is an 8 minutes
video, directed by Luciana Aires Mesquita who wrote and narrated the text about the gods and
goddesses in their archaeological sites in Greece. Part I covers an introduction about the
archetypal understanding of the myths and the gods Gaia, Mnemosyne, Apollo, Hera, Zeus and
Hermes. The video is an assemblage from travels to Greece and other photos from museums
visited by Luciana Aires Mesquita and Liloye Boubli. It was edited by Hermusche who digitalized
each image and adjusted them to text and music. This video would not be possible without his
hard and careful work. We dedicate this work to James Hillman and it was presented at Embassy
of Greece in Brasilia-DF, Brazil at one-year memorial of his passing. We need to produce and
finalize Part II.
Beloved Mnemosyne (2008) is a 7 minutes video, directed by Liloye Boubli in partnership with
Luciana Aires Mesquita. It is a reflection about floods caused by hydroelectric dams in
archaeological sites – habitat of our indigenous ancestors who recorded in stones their first
inscriptions as their very essential soul. Those inscriptions are dramatically being lost with the flood
impacts in total disregard of our ancestral memory. Mnemosyne is the personification of Memory
by the Greeks. In mythology, this Titanide is the mother of the Muses. Without memory, there is no
art. The images were recorded in 1995 in a field study led by Luciana Aires Mesquita. It was
performed in a theatre play, Oreades, a free adaptation of Magma’s poems by Guimarães Rosa.
Rui Faquini and Elyeser Szturm gave many photos to compose the video and Liloye Boubli added
aerial images. Cláudio Vinicius composed the music, Toninho Alves was our camera man and
Rodrigo Benevello, the video editor. We need support to finalize and to distribute this video.
Blue Butterflies (1995) is a 65 minutes in betacam SP format. It was the first video directed by
Luciana Aires Mesquita when she was leaving for the long term journey to Eastern, Japan, India
and Indonesia. Before her trip, which took 9 months, Luciana registered images in the memory of
her hometown, Catalão-Goiás, Brazil. The original music was composed by Guilherme Vaz and it
was conducted by CPCE – University of Brasilia, under the direction of our dearest friend and
brilliant photographer Fernando Duarte. We need it in a digital format and edit it for a shorter video.
We dedicate this page to our beloved friend Sergio Bernardes, director of Tamboro. He has a
very special place and is forever in our hearts and soul. In 2007, Tamboro’s premiere - a beautiful
and powerful film - was shown at Mytholudens – where goddesses and gods play! Unforgettable.
PROJETOS ESPECIAIS DE LONGO PRAZO
Mitologia na Música:
Cultura Indígena ~ Sinfonia do Milho
Mitoludens - onde deusas e deuses brincam! sempre teve grande afinidade com projetos que
aliam desenvolvimento sustentável e cultura indígena. No Brasil, somos amigos das nações
indígenas Kayapó (PA) e Bakairi (MT). Com eles, iniciamos uma pesquisa mitológica sobre o
milho. Temos a intenção de gravar imagens e músicas dos povos nativos que ainda cultivam o
milho colorido nas Américas do Sul, Central e Norte. Este projeto une as três Américas em uma
linguagem comum através das raízes indígenas de cultivo do milho, simbolizando a humildade, a
paz e as bênçãos em uma voz original, autêntica e primitiva. México, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru,
Bolívia e Equador cultivam o milho tradicional combinando música, poesia, dança e mitos.
Algumas pesquisas atestam que o cultivo do milho se dá desde 8.000 a.C no México. O Peru tem
uma variedade de cerca de 150 grãos de milho com sabores diferentes e pesquisas atestam que
o milho começou a ser cultivado no Peru desde o ano 6.275 a.C. O primeiro encontro de Luciana
Mesquita com o povo Navajo (EUA) foi em uma cerimônia ritualística dentro de um tipi no
Morgan’s Ranch em Ojai, CA e no Pacifica Graduate Institute através de estudos junto com a
Profa. Kathleen Jenks, sobre o Caminho das Bênçãos e o Caminho da Beleza, de acordo com a
visão Navajo. Depois Luciana viajou para o Arizona e iniciou uma pesquisa por conta própria
sobre os hogans e os muitos tesouros sobre o pólen. Em 2002, Luciana foi convidada para
participar do Quinto Encuentro Indígena de las Americas y Tercer Foro Internacional sobre
Espiritualidad Indígena realizado em San Juan, Puerto Rico, onde estavam juntas as principais
lideranças indígenas do México, Chile, Equador, Peru, Guatemala, Argentina, EUA, incluindo
Alaska, discutindo seus desafios. O milho colorido tradicional está em risco devido ao trabalho de
grandes empresas que trabalham com milhos híbridos geneticamente modificados. Este projeto foi
aprovado pela Lei Rounet. Necessitamos patrocínio a relização das gravações nas três Américas.

Mythology in Music:
Indigenous Culture ~ Maize Simphony
Mytholudens – where goddesses and gods play! always had a great affinity with projects that
combine sustainable development and indigenous culture. In Brazil, we are friends of Kayapó (PA)
and Bakairi (MT) indigenous nations. With them, we initiated a mythological research about corn.
We intend to record images and music of the native people who still cultivating the colored corn in
South, Central and North Americas. This project unites the three Americas in a common language
through the indigenous roots of maize cultivation, symbolizing humility, peace and blessings in a
unique, authentic and primitive voice. Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador
cultivate the traditional maize combining music, poetry, dance and myths. Some researches show
that maize cultivation took place since 8000 BC in Mexico. Peru has a range of about 150 grains of
corn with different flavors and surveys show that the corn began to be cultivated since the year
6275 BC. Luciana Mesquita first approach with the Navajo people happened at Morgan’s Ranch
where a ritualistic ceremony was performed inside a tipi in Ojai, CA and at Pacifica Graduate
Institute through studies together with Prof. Kathleen Jenks in a research about the Blessing Way
and the Beauty Way. Then, Luciana travelled to Arizona and started a research by her own about
Navajo hogan and the many treasures about pollen. In 2002, Luciana was invited to participate at
the Quinto Encuentro Indígena de las Americas y Tercer Foro Internacional Sobre Espiritualidad
Indígena, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where the main indigenous leaders from Mexico, Chile,
Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, Argentina, USA, including Alaska were together discussing their
challenges. The traditional colored corn is at risk due to the work of large companies working with
genetically modified corn hybrids.

Ribeirão Sobradinho
The Ribeirão Sobradinho borders the lands of Toca da Cura, our partner. It is a beautiful creek and
it is polluted. Luciana Aires Mesquita had a dream. In this dream, water wheels are built and
distributed along the stream, making it to breathe and, at the same time, the garbage is naturally
separated by screens. We need support for the realization of this project. Meanwhile, Elyeser
Szturm, a visual artist, together to Luciana Aires Mesquita, are preparing a book of photographies
taken along the creek for the sake of its beauty.
The Global Mind Network
Special long-term projects also includes the partnership with The Global Mind Network, directed by
Bruce L. Erickson, Santa Barbara, California and Toronto, Canada. This project is oriented towards

are taking place as an awakening consciousness in humanity that seeks to creating new models

A biblioteca que a Mitoludens dispõe é a biblioteca pessoal de Luciana Aires Mesquita. É uma
pequena biblioteca, em torno de 1.000 volumes, especializada em Mitologia, Psicologia
Arquetípica e Teatro. Apesar de pequena, é bastante utilizada por nossos alunos que tem acesso
para empréstimos, uma vez que estejam matriculados em um de nossos cursos.
Para pesquisas mais avançadas podemos também estar conectados com as facilidades que
dispõe a Biblioteca do Pacifica Graduate Institute, Opus Archives and Research Center e Joseph
Campbell Foundation Associate Program.
Nosso acervo necessita estar constantemente sendo renovado com assinaturas de jornais,

The library that Mitoludens has is the personal library of Luciana Aires Mesquita. It is a small
library. It has some 1.000 titles specialized on Mythology, Archetypal Psychology and Theatre.
Although small, it is often visited by our students who has free acess to loan, once enrolled in one
of our courses.
To advanced research, we may also be connected to facilities from Pacifica’s Library, Opus
Archives and Research Center and Joseph Campbell Foundation Associate Program.

Luciana Aires Mesquita, MA em Estudos Mitológicos com ênfase em Psicologia Profunda pelo

hidroelétricas no Brasil e produziu o video Amada Mnemósine. Em 2011, foi convidada para dar
uma palestra no ETH em Zurique, Suiça, juntamente com a Associação Internacional de
Psicologia Analítica (IAAP) e a Associação Internacional de Estudos Junguianos (IAJS). Criou a
Mitoludens – onde as deusas e deuses brincam!, onde atualmente oferece seus cursos. A
Mitoludens tem parceria com a Joseph Campbell Foundation, com o Pantheatre (França) dirigido

RESUMÉ
Luciana Aires Mesquita holds a MA in Mythological Studies with emphasis in Depth Psychology
from Pacifica Graduate Institute, California, USA (2001) granted with an OAS fellowship. She has
two undergraduate courses, one in Theatre Arts (1997) and other in International Relations (1991)
from the University of Brasilia, Brazil. In search of mythological roots in the Eastern culture, she
has been to Japan, India and Indonesia. She has visited Greece many times to enrich her studies
in Greek mythology. Luciana has recorded the CD Rumi Hafiz Cora (2005), selecting, translating
and voicing Persian poems. She carried out the production and research for the short video
Beloved Mnemosyne about flooded archaeological sites in Brazil. In 2011, she was invited to
deliver a talk at ETH in Zurich, Switzerland, together with the International Association of Analytical
Psychology (IAAP) and International Association of Jungian Studies (IAJS). Created Mytholudens - where the goddesses and gods play! where she currently teaches. Mytholudens works in
partnership with The Joseph Campbell Foundation, Pantheatre (France) directed by Enrique
Pardo, UNIPAZ-DF, the moviemaker Liloye Boubli, the psychiatrist Dr. Marcos Callia, artist friends
from Kayapó and Bakairi indigenous nations, among other professionals. She frequently renews
her knowledge by participating in different continued education courses offered at Pacifica
Graduate Institute, CA.
Colaboradores
Angelina Vargas, trabalha com corpo em RPG e Osteopatia Articular desde 1884 em Brasília. É
também graduada em Sociologia e Psicologia. Quando já tinham decorrido três anos de trabalho
com corpo surpreendeu-se pois, de modo espontâneo, não intencional, quando acessou a
percepção de seu próprio corpo em uma posição diferente da que seu corpo fisico se
apresentava. Fez então de seu corpo um laboratório, onde se inclinou sobre o corpo fenomenal
até encontrar a regularidade de seus princípios. Em 2005 levou este conhecimento empírico ao
mestrado em Psicologia na Universidade Católica de Brasília; um trabalho inédito, intitulado A
Linguagem Silenciosa dos Sentidos. Sua dissertação foi qualificada pela banca como algo que
oxigena a Academia. Um tema difícil - onde Angelina consegue reunir em uma linguagem
científica e poética, a dura e complexa obra de Merleau-Ponty - pois este foi o referencial teórico
que tornou possível a apresentação do que ela chama de O encontro com o corpo sensível.
Angelina é uma estudiosa autodidata desde sua adolescência. Seu espírito inquieto convive com
algumas obras muito intensamente - Jung, Heidegger, Kierkegaard e Merleau-Ponty como
fontes ocidentais, e como fontes orientais, mestres Sufis como Hakin-Sanai, Rumi, Attar e AllGazzalli, que são seus prediletos. Mas é para Omar Ali Shah, seu Mestre Sufi desde 1984, que
dirige sua gratidão, pois como ela diz: - “foi ele quem verdadeiramente me ensinou a ler, e a quem
devo o contato e o presente da intuição que revelou a importância do Corpo como casa dos
Sentidos e como Linguagem entre a Essência e a Consciência.”
Elyeser Szturm, natural de Goiânia, GO, vive em Brasília desde 1994. Viveu em Paris de 1989 a
1994 onde fez doutorado em Artes Visuais, Université de Paris VIII a Saint Denis e participou de
salões como o Jeune Peinture, realizando individual na Galerie du Haut Pavé em 1992. Ganhou
Prêmio de Viagem ao Exterior do XVI Salão Nacional da Funarte em 1998 e o VII Salão da Bahia
em 2000. Participou da Bienal 50 Anos, Brasília, Ruína e utopia, Território Expandido 3 e Faxinal
das Artes, entre outras. Participa de salões e exposições desde 1974. Pesquisador do CNPq
1998/ 2010. Experiência poética e existencial do lugar pode sintetizar sua busca.
Ezequiel Nogueira Braga,́ psicólogo clínico, terapeuta gestalt e terapeuta comunitário. Foi colíder na JCF Mythological RoundTable ®: Grupo de Brasília-DF: Cinema, Mitos & Jazz aos
Domingos com Joe! no primeiro semestre de 2016. Ele editou as legendas em português para o
filme Finding Joe/Encontrando Joe que foi apresentado em nossa JCF Mythological
RoundTables® .
Liloye Boubli, cineasta e documentarista, cujo trabalho se desenvolve no documentário e na
ficção com filmes participantes em festivais internacionais como o Sundance Film Festival/EUA;
Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latino-Americano, Cuba; Mundos en Contraste, Espanha;
dentre outros destacando-se o documentário de longa metragem “Ballet Bolshoi, dois séculos de
história”, sobre a companhia russa, que abriu o Dance on Camera Festival no Lincoln Center, em
NY em 2001 e foi adquirido pelos canais a cabo History Channel, Planette France, Arts World
(Inglaterra). Como montadora em cinema, atuou nos filmes “Dom Hélder Câmara, o Santo
Rebelde”, de Érika Bauer (2004), e “Juruna, o Espírito da Floresta”, de Armando Lacerda (2008),
ambos premiados com o título de melhor filme documentário em edições da “Margarida de Prata”,
prêmio concedido pela CNBB aos melhores filmes brasileiros do ano. Acaba de lançar o CD e
DVD/Blu Ray “Presença de Villa-Lobos na Música Brasileira para Violoncelo e Piano”. Ela está
produzindo uma série de videos sobre o curso “Deusas e Deuses Re-visitados” no Rio de JaneiroRJ.
Maya Bellomo Johnson, colaboradora da Mitoludens como tradutora inglês-português.
Bacharelado em psicologia e especialização em traduções acadêmicas nas áreas de
Humanidades e Ciências da Saúde. Maya traduziu o filme Encontrando Joe para o português

Monica Udler Cromberg é doutora em Filosofia pela USP e tem como especialidade as relações
entre a mística semítica e o pensamento ocidental. Estudiosa tanto do sufismo (mística islâmica)
como do hassidismo e da cabala (mística judaica), procura iluminar esse domínio a partir da obra
de diversos filósofos e pensadores ocidentais, tais como Martin Buber, Martin Heidegger, Edmund
Husserl, Merleau-Ponty, James Hillman, Carl Gustav Jung, etc. assim como o inverso, ou seja,
compreender seu pensamento a partir da perspectiva da mistica semítica. Suas duas obras, A
Crisálida da Filosofia e Individuação Espiritual, tratam respectivamente das relações entre o
hassidismo (a partir de Baal Shem Tov) e a filosofia de Martin Buber e entre o sufismo (a partir de
Henry Corbin) e a filosofia de Heidegger. Seu domínio de seis idiomas ocidentais e seus amplos
conhecimentos do hebraico e do árabe permitem-lhe o livre trânsito por tantos universos, além de
tornarem possível outro campo de pesquisa a que também se dedica: A Ciência das Letras, como
é designado na tradição abrahâmica o estudo simbólico e a hermenêutica das chamadas Línguas
Sagradas. Profunda conhecedora da literatura sufi e seu simbolismo, a filósofa, também formada
em Letras, possui parte de sua produção filosófica escrita em um gênero que inaugura e a que
denomina de “erosofia”. São textos filosóficos escritos de forma literária, desde a perspectiva da
mística e valendo-se de uma linguagem de cunho erótico, o que permitiria uma aproximação à
Sofia nao mais através da philia, mas de eros.
Collaborators
Angelina Vargas, works with body through the techniques of RPG and Osteopathy since 1884 in
Brasilia-DF. She also graduated in Sociology and Psychology. When she had passed three years
of working with the body, she was surprised because, spontaneously, unintentionally, she had the
perception of her own body in a different position from his physical body arose. Then she made his
body a laboratory, which leaned on the phenomenal body to find the regularity of its principles. In
2005 he took this empirical knowledge to master's degree in psychology at the Catholic University
of Brasilia; an unpublished work, entitled The Silent Language of the Senses. His dissertation was
described by the examiners as something that oxygenates the Academy. A difficult topic - where
Angelina manages to gather in a scientific and poetic language, the hard and complex work of
Merleau-Ponty - because this was the theoretical framework that made possible the presentation of
what she calls the encounter with the sensitive body. Angelina is a self-taught scholar since her
teens. Her restless spirit lives with the works of: Jung, Heidegger, Kierkegaard and Merleau-Ponty
as Western sources, and as Eastern sources, the Sufi masters like: Hakim Sanai, Rumi, Attar and
All-Gazzalli, which are her favorite. But it is for Omar Ali Shah, her Sufi master since 1984, that she
gives her gratitude, because as she says – "it was him who truly taught me to read, and whom I
received the gift of intuition that revealed the importance of Body as home of the Senses and as
Language between Essence and Consciousness. "
Elyeser Szturm, born in Goiânia, GO, lives in Brasilia since 1994. He lived in Paris from 1989 to
1994 for his PhD in Visual Arts at Université de Paris VIII, Saint Denis, and participated in salons

Liloye Boubli, is a movie maker and documentarian, her work is developed in documentaries and
fiction which have been taken place at international festivals such as Sundance Film Festival/ USA;
International Festival of Nuevo Cine Latino-Americano, Cuba; Mundos en Contraste, Espanha;
among others. Highlighting the full-length film “Ballet Bolshoi, two centuries of history” about the
Russian company that opened the Dance on Camera Festival in the Lincoln Center in NY (2001)
and ac- quired by three cable channels: History Channel, Planette France and Arts World
(England). As movie maker, worked at “Dom Helder Câmara, o santo rebelde”, by Erika Bauer
(2004) and “Juruna, o espírito da flo- resta”, by Armando Lacerda (2008), both awarded “Margarida
de Prata” as the best documentaries by CNBB. She has just released the CD and DVD/Blu Ray

Maya Bellomo Johnson, Mytholudens colaborator, is an English-Portuguese translator with a
degree in Psychology, specialized in academic translations in the fields of Humanities and Health
Sciences. She translated the film Finding Joe into Portuguese language (subtitles) presented at
our JCF Mythological RoundTables®: Group of Brasilia: Cinema, Myths & Jazz on Sundays with
Joe!
Monica Udler, PhD in philosophy (USP) and specialization on relations between the Semitic
mysticism and Western thought. Studious both of Sufism (Islamic mysticism) as of Hasidism and
Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism), seeks to illuminate this area from the work of several Western
philosophers and thinkers such as Martin Buber, Martin Heidegger, Edmund Husserl, MerleauPonty, James Hillman, Carl Gustav Jung, etc. as well as the reverse, that is, understand the
thinking from the perspective of Semitic mystic. Her two works, The Chrysalis Philosophy and
Spiritual Individuation, deal respectively with relations between Hasidism (from Baal Shem Tov)
and the philosophy of Martin Buber and between Sufism (from Henry Corbin) and the philosophy of
Heidegger. She domains six Western languages and her vast knowledge of Hebrew and Arabic
allows her free passage to so many universes, and make possible other research field that she is
also dedicated to: The Science of Letters, as it is called in Abrahamic tradition, the symbolic study
and hermeneutics of Sacred Languages. Deep knowledge of Sufi literature and its symbolism,
Udler also has a bachalor degree in Literature, and part of his philosophical written production is a
genre that opens what she calls "erosophia". Those are written philosophical texts of literary form,
from the perspective of mystique and making use of an erotic nature of language, which would
allow an approach to Sophia no longer by philia, but eros.

Marcos Callia (SP), psiquiatra e analista junguiano pela Sociedade Brasileira de Psicologia
Analítica (SBPA-SP). Especialista em sonhos e condutor de workshops em diferentes cidades no
Brasil, além de manter um trabalho íntimo junto a tribos indígenas brasileiras. Ele oferece
intensivos também no México e é um colaborador na Mitoludens.
Edvaldo Pereira Lima (SP), professor na USP e professor-visitante na Universidade de
Antioquia, em Medellín, Colômbia. Oferece todos os anos o curso de Jornalismo Literário
Avançado, com base na Jornada do Herói, adaptada como estrutura narrativa e de
compreensão dos processos dinâmicos de compreensão das histórias de vida reais.

Convidados internacionais
Enrique Pardo, diretor do Pantheatre (França), performer, pintor e escritor, fundou o
Panthéâtre em 1981 com a legendária solo performance sobre o deus Pã: “Calling for Pan”
(daí o nome Panthéâtre). São três as principais fontes do Panthéâtre: voz, teatro
coreográfico e mito. Em 1989 criou o Myth and Theatre Festival, tendo James Hillman como
presidente de honra. Para Enrique, a relevância da mitologia vai muito além do uso literal e

Panthéâtre in 1981 with a now legendary solo performance on the god Pan:”Calling for Pan”
(hence Pantheatre). Pantheatre has three main sources: voice, choreographic theatre and
myth. In 1989 created the Myth and Theatre Festival, having James Hillman as the honorary

ir além da pesquisa clínica dentro do consultório de psicoterapia, ao situar-se dentro da cultura da
imaginação ocidental. É uma psicologia deliberadamente ligada às artes, à cultura, e à história
das idéias, na forma como elas florescem da imaginação. [...]Pela definição tradicional, arquétipos

literatura, filosofia e psicologia. James Joyce, Thomas Mann, Paul Klee, Pablo Picasso, Arthur

referências importantes na vida de Campbell, bem como a amizade com Heinrich Zimmer. Passou

Kazuo Ohno (1906-2010), japonês, dançarino e coreógrafo japonês. Juntamente com Tatsumi
Hijikata, criou o Butoh, dança dramática revolucionária que surgiu no Japão pós-guerra, chegando
ao ocidente em 1970. Criado na década de 50, o Butoh, além de se inspirar nas danças
tradicionais japonesas (Noh e Bugaku), inspirou-se também nos movimentos de vanguarda como
o expressionismo, surrealismo e construtivismo.
Tadeusz Kantor (1915 - 1990), polonês, artista multimidia, atuou nas áreas da pintura, desenho,

Pina Bausch (1940-2009), alemã, coreógrafa, dançarina, pedagoga de dança e diretora da

Sorbonne em Paris, França. Corbin é o responsável por redimensionar os estudos em Filosofia
Islâmica como um todo. Em sua Histoire de la philosophie islamique (1964), combateu o senso

Klee, Pablo Picasso, Arthur Schopenhauer, Friedrich Nietzsche, John Steinbeck, Jiddu
Krishnamurti and Carl Jung are important references to Campbell’s life, besides the friendship with
Heinrich Zimmer. He lived six months in India and six months in Japan, deep- ening his studies on
Asiatic mythology and religion. He was professor at the Literature Department of Sarah Lawrance
College, Eranos editor and Bollingen Foundation’s curator (Switzerland) through the Princeton
University Press. Today his personal library is located at the OPUS Archive and Research Center
in the Pacifica Graduate Institute, California, a center of mythology and depth psychology studies.
It has some 3,000 titles, besides manuscripts, articles, audio and video recordings. Among his
work of 20 published books about world mythology, are Where the Two Come to Their Father, A
Skeleton Key to Finnegans Wake, The Hero with a Thousand Faces, the classic The Masks of God
in four volumes, Primitive Mythology, Oriental Mythology, Occidental Mythology and Creative
Mythology, Historical Atlas of World Mythology, The Mythic Image, Thou Art That, among others.
The Power of Myth is a serie of interviews with Bill Moyers that had a great repercussion about the
importance of the myths in our lifes, experiences and journeys. The film Star Wars, directed by
George Lucas, was influenced by the myth of hero, discussed at The Hero with a Thousand Faces.
After his death in Hawai, her wife Jean Erdman, dancer and choreographer, together with Robert
Walter, created the Joseph Campbell Foundation. More recently, the documentary Finding Joe
(2011), directed by Patrick Takaya Solomon, discuss about the “myth of hero” in our culture.
Karl Kerényi (1897-1973), one of the founders of modern stud- ies in Greek Mythology. He was a
professor of classics and the history of religion in his native Hungary and later became a citizen of
Switzerland where he lectured at the Eranos Conferences in Ascona, invited by C. G. Jung. His
works include Eleusis: Archetypal Image of Mother and Daughter; Essays on a Science of
Mythology: The Myth of the Divine Child and the Mysteries of Eleusis; Dionysos: Archetypal Image
of Inde- structible Life; Apollo:The Wind, the Spirit, and the God; Hermes: Guide of Souls, among
others.
Rafael López-Pedraza (1920, Cuba - 2011, Caracas), lived in Zurich, studied and worked at C G
Jung Institute for eleven years. James Hillman was his analyst and they coordinated seminars on
Archetypal Psychology. In Caracas he was a professor on mythology at Universidad Central de
Venezuela. His works include: Hermes and His Children; Dionysus in Exile; Cultural Anxiety; Eros
and Psyche; among others.
Christine Downing, Ph.D., teaches in the Mythological Studies Doctoral program at Pacifica
Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, after serving for almost twenty years as chair of the Religious
Studies Department at San Diego State University. She has also taught at Rutgers and Temple
Universities and at the C G Jung Institute in Zurich. Her books include The Goddess; Women’s
Mysteries; The Long Journey Home; Myths and Mysteries of Same-Sex Love, among others.
David Miller, Ph.D., is Watson-Ledden Professor of Religion Emeritus at Syracuse University and
is a retired Core Faculty Member of Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. He is a honorary
member of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and the International Association of
Analytical Psychology. Since 1963, Dr. Miller has worked at the Intersections of religions and

Enrique Pardo, French-Peruvian, theatre director, performer, painter and writer, founded
Panthéâtre in 1981 with a now legendary solo performance on the god Pan:”Calling for Pan”
(hence Pantheatre). Pantheatre has three main sources: voice, choreographic theatre and myth. In
1989 created the Myth and Theatre Festival, having James Hillman as the honorary president. To
Enrique, the relevance of mythology goes well beyond the theatrical and literal use of mythical
figures or stories: myth refers here to a cultural dimension of image, implying the kind of imagebased theatre that Enrique came to call choreographic theatre. Enrique has performed and taught

Jerzy Grotwsky (1933-1999), Polish, theater director and central figure at the avantgarde/experimental theater. His work, Towards a poor theatre, based on the psycho-physical work
of the actor, revolutionized the theater.
Juliana Juszkiewicz, funder of Kropka Theatre, founded in Sydney, Australia and now
based in Poland, focus on poetic-metaphorical drama, mostly in a solo performance as an
innovative theatre form open for dialogue about the present role of theatre encouraging a
mutual fecundation of cultures, global understanding and benevolence. Its method has been
developed respecting the Poor Theatre (Jerzy Grotowski) directions with organic approach to
text and memory with spontaneous and rhythmic qualities of body rather than the text says
itself.
Eugenio Barba (1936 -), Italian, author, researcher and theater director. Founder and director of
Odin Teatret (Dennamark), created the concept of Theatre Anthropology. In 1961 he met and
studied with Jerzy Grotowski, his first master.
Ariane Mnouchkine (1939 -), French, director of theater and cinema, founder of Théâtre du Soleil
(1964). Linked mainly to the avant-garde theater, with the methodology the collaborative process
and inspirations from commedia dell'arte to the Asian theater.
Antonin Artaud (1896-1948), French, poet, actor, writer, playwright, screenwriter and theatre
director. His work Le théâtre et son double, is one of the main writings on theater in the twentieth
century. He was interned in various mental hospitals, undergoing electroshock treatments.
Kazuo Ohno (1906-2010), Japanese, dancer and choreographer. Together to Tatsumi Hijikata
created the dramatic dance Butoh that emerged in post-war Japan, coming to the West in 1970.
Created in the 50's, this revolutionary dance with roots on traditional Japanese theatre forms of
Noh and Bugaku, and inspirations on the avant-garde movements as Expressionism, Surrealism
and Constructivism.
Tadeusz Kantor (1915 - 1990), Polish artist, multimidia, who worked in the fields of painting,
drawing, sculpture, assemblage, set design, staging, happenings and performances. His works
depart from personal memories and evocations of everyday life, amplifying and re-creating reality.
Pina Bausch (1940-2009), German, choreographer, dancer, dance pedagogue and director of
Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. Known for telling stories while dancing, her choreographies
are based in personal experiences of her dancer's life.
Ginette Paris, Ph.D., is a psychologist, professor and coordina- tor of research at Pacifica

Henry Corbin (1903-1978), philosopher, theologian and professor of Islamic Studies at the
University of Sorbonne in Paris, France . Corbin is responsible for resizing studies in Islamic
philosophy as a whole. In his Histoire de la islamique philosophie (1964 ), fought common sense
that philosophy among Muslims ended up after Ibn Rushd, demonstrating that, on the contrary ,
continued to exist a living philosophy, active in the Muslim East, especially in Iran, which continued
until nowadays. He is, for James Hillman, the second thinker of archetypal psychology.
