Der Fund von Figuren aus Feuerstein (engl. flint) ist im Süden Englands nichts
Außergewöhnliches.
The discovery of pieces of flint is nothing unusual in the South of England.
Bereits 1987 berichtet Ron Williams, England, in den Archaeologischen Berichten,
welche eine Zeitlang in den Niederlanden herausgegeben wurden, zu dem Thema in
einem Artikel mit der Überschrift:
„Stone age tradition and ritual flint sculpture from Surrey, England”.
In 1987, Ron Williams, England, reported in the Archaeological Reports, which for a time in the
Netherlands were published on the subject in an article with the headline:
"Stone age tradition and ritual flint sculpture from Surrey, England".
Surrey liegt im Süden Englands in einem Bereich des Landes, welcher von den
Gletschern der Eiszeit nicht bedeckt war, siehe weiße Fläche im obigen Bild. Der Kanal
war damals Festland und vom Europäischen Kontinent aus trockenen Fußes zu erreichen,
siehe grüne Fläche im obigen Bild.
Surrey is situated in the South of England, in an area of the country, which was not covered by
the glaciers of the ice age, see white area in the image above. The Channel then was mainland
and from the European continent to reach by dry foot, see green area in the image above.

Der Buckel auf dem Kopf des Pferdes ist wohl als Schlagbulbus verwendet worden. An
dieser Stelle ist die Oberfläche des Steins rau und abgearbeitet.
The hump on the head of the horse is probably been used as shock bulb. At this point, the
surface of the stone is rough and hardly used.
