Gedichte für Dichte und weniger Dichte 1.Ausgabe (Auflage 20 Exemplare) (C) 2008 - Artemi Egorov Verzeichnis Der Anfang sieben Dr Wecker acht And I Promised zehn Hase auf der Vase elf Stille zwölf Misunderstanding dreizehn Elefantengesellschaftskritisches Gedicht vierzehn I am feeling something fünfzehn Ich sechzehn Give it a smile siebzehn Philosophy, the achtzehn Notiz zu den Sprachen zwanzig Wörter zweiundzwanzig Fog dreiundzwanzig Human Being vierundzwanzig Lady with a hat sechsundzwanzig Truth achtundzwanzig A fortnight ago neunundzwanzig Lonesome girl dreissig Hope zweiunddreissig Drifting away on moonbeams dreiunddreissig Rosenfalter vierunddreissig Victims of the crowd fünfunddreissig Hey man siebenunddreissig Musig achtunddreissig What’s your favourite color? neununddreissig In Züri einundvierzig Princess of the sunset the answer to life, the universe and everything Carpe Diem dreiundvierzig Mirror Limericks schreiben Ruderer Hoffnung Rochenfischen Zehn-Finger-System Tiredness Seller of labels Eins, zwei, drei, House of cards Outofahre The Poem Beauty nature, I’m a human My candle In a pupil’s mind Sauna And they go No way Tuesday evening Ig und du und mir und hie und jetz Schreiben Soviu zur Poesie Eine kleine Entspannungspause Es Fake magician, fool noone Hush Grausam Mincer She I wohne am Rhii I see vierundvierzig fünfundvierzig ebenfalls fünfundvierzig sechsundvierzig auch sechsundvierzig siebenundvierzig siebenundvierzig achtundvierzig achtundvierzig neunundvierzig fünfzig zweiundfünfzig dreiundfünfzig fünfundfünfzig sechsundfünfzig siebenundfünfzig achtundfünfzig neunundfünfzig sechzig einundsechzig zweiundsechzig dreiundsechzig siebenundsechzig achtundsechzig neunundsechzig siebzig zweiundsiebzig dreiundsiebzig vierundsiebzig sechsundsiebzig achtundsiebzig Der Richter neunundsiebzig He, the Master of Zen achtzig Stolz einundachtzig Trip to London zweiundachtzig D’Priise gö ufe vierundachtzig Leere Seite sechsundachtzig Good night siebenundachtzig Vorwort achtundachtzig Nachspann neunundachtzig Anleitung nachdem Sie alles durchgelesen haben neunzig AGBs ebenfalls neunzig Der Anfang Dass ausgerechnet dieses Gedicht am Anfang steht, ist purer Zufall. Nach der Bibel war’s ein Wort. Was für ein Wort? An welchem Ort? 7 Dr Wecker Vorem is Bett go, Um Mitternacht, Gseni dr Wecker sto U mache’s so, wi me’s äbe macht: I steue i: 7i 00 Und tue ne ne ufe stueu. Momänt! I bi doch nid dumm, I steue ne doch um! E stung länger schlofe, De bini nähr fit, Obwou, lieber nid, De hätti drum no Zitt, No dises und jenes z’mache. Obschon am morge bim Ufwache Me doch jedi Minute bereut, Wo me nid het chönne gniesse. Und es eim so richtig fröit, Dr Wecker dörfe a’d Wand z’schiesse. Wobi me nume hofft, Das dr Nachbar nid no schloft, Är isch nämlech no ne liebe Und lot mi ds Zmorge ufe Mittag lo verschiebe. Är kümmeret sech um eigeti Sorge U weckt mi jo ou nid so früe am Morge. Jetz bini do am philosophiere U mit mir säuber am diskutiere, Uf wenn steui dr Wecker jetz i? 8 Es beunruhigt mi, Dass i’s no nid weis, Es isch nämlech scho haubi eis. I gloub i la’s la si U penne gschider i. 9 And I Promised Once upon a time there was me And there was a good reason to be. Every night I stared at the stars above And wrote poems about love. But one autumn day she found That I should not be fooling around. So I promised to do anything for her And I watched my biggest mistake occur: She told me to write a poem again Under one condition that she did explain: Namely I was not allowed to write about love, But there is nothing else I can think of! I am so confused, so what do I do now? I think that life’s not worth it anyhow. I promised and I failed, I fell on the floor. I will never see her face anymore. I will never again see the stars above, Because this poem’s again, once more, about love. 11 Stille Und beide verstummten... In ihren Köpfen die Gedanken summten... Man konnte sich nur fragen... Wieso hatte plötzlich keiner mehr was zu sagen? 12 Misunderstanding It’s incredible how, depending On what one says, misunderstanding Can occur. See the thoughts go by in blur, Knowing nothing just for sure, Being careful not to say Something wrong in any way. Hopes of right interpretation. An artificial conversation Is resulting from dishonesty. But even if we’re not quite same, Please stay honest, it’s not a game. Each other’s opinion is to tolerate And unnatural talking leads to hate. It’s even better to argue but tell what you feel, Than to make pleasures having something to conceal. So don’t pretend That you don’t see, That in the end We both agree. 14 I am feeling something I am feeling something, There is something deep in me. Impossible to describe, It doesn’t let me go free. I do not know where it came from, Though I haven’t got it for too long. From time to time it relieves, And again it gets strong. I am feeling something, There is something deep in me. But i can’t tell if it is real, It’s not impossible to be. It’s beyond interpretation, Feels like no solution can be found. It makes me mad and sad and glad And takes my feet off the ground. 16 Give it a smile Early mornin’, never know the Date. Constantly questioning the fate. Look into the mirror, check the style. Glance at the watch, give it a smile. Mood too bad, rainin’ all day. Thru the dark clouds imagine a ray Of sunshine. Life’s worth every mile You walk and every time you fall, just give it a smile. Give it a smile, Lean back for a while, Give it some time, Give your life a reason, Find your own rhyme. 17 Philosophy, the Do you think it’s right now? Or do you think it’s wrong? When you study ethics, Morality gets strong. Think of obligations, Act your part. Let it be your truth, A wisdom tooth. Do you think the spirit Is as real as blood? Study metaphysics Bathing in the mud. Unsubstantial freedom, What is life? Is it all in mind? Mankind. Try to get the logic, A branch of philosophy. Learn the language, inference, Paradoxal theory. Science, love and wisdom Influence man’s life. Mein Deutsch Teacher hätte by the way überhaupt kein Fun an dem was ich da schreibe, but whatever. Man kann surely auch a little übertreiben, wobei sometimes ziemlich interessante Things auftreten, like a more or less reibungsloser Übergang into another Language. It’s clear that you have noticed the Beginning of the Text in clear German. Now here we are, in English. But here we come to another Problem: English verträgt die deutsche Grammar nicht so gut, therefore lassen wir es lieber sein. Quel Dommage, aber was soll’s, dann wechseln wir doch wieder zurück ins Deutsche. Ob Muttersprache oder nicht! Fazit: jede Sprache hat etwas Eigenes. Any language is to use, but without abuse! 22 Fog Through milky haze I watch your eyes, Through cold and untransparent skies; I see your smile, I watch your face, Remember our last embrace; On solid ground there both we stand, But fly around and never land. 23 Human Being I wake up in the morning, Walk down the stairs. I’m yawning. I’m swearing and complaining, ‘Cos it’s raining once again. I am just walking circles, I’m caught in my own trap. For me just nothing matters, ‘Cos the world is all a crap. I am a human being, I’m proud of my brain, I dig the world destruction, And I hate to miss the train. I am a human being, I do not think at all, I do not see a thing, So I will walk into a wall. I am a stupid creature, But I like planning things, So I invented time, Though I don’t like the things it brings. I plan five years for crying, Fifteen I waste for school, The rest I just don’t care about Because I am a fool. 24 Today I am too tired, So I think of yesterday, Or I just plan tomorrow Or the twenty-first of may. I don’t like to worry, But I like to betray. Why do the things so easy, If there is a more difficult way? I am not alone And I could share the throne. The future’s in my hands, But I don’t care a little bit. 25 Lady with a hat On a bench down the road Sat a lady with a hat. What she had were that green But burning eyes of a cat. So I stopped and I watched And I didn’t understand, I was there to stay forever Though she’d never hold my hand. The other day, out of my car I saw that lady with the hat. Then I saw my engine burning And my tires going flat. I got out and I watched And I didn’t understand, So sudden close were all the feelings Longing to the promise land. 26 All the world could explode, She’d not even take a note, She’s beyond, she’s above, May the people call it love. They’ll never know what she would say If they listened to her pray, They never tried to hear her voice, They even say we have no choice. But she’s the proof that we do. And I even don’t know why, I could wait a week or two, Maybe she’ll teach me how to fly? On a bench down the road Sits a lady with a hat. I’m the only one with her Besides her thoughts of this and that. 27 Truth There is no truth that’s always true, Everyone has his own and unique. Of all the truth you are to decide Which one you want to pick. As with your opinion You are mostly alone, Same’s for the truth: You’ve got to find your own. 28 A fortnight ago Now I see you and I don’t know What to do or where to go, What to think or what to show, How to let you not feel low. Blame me not to have said hello Though I wanted to do so A fortnight ago. 29 Lonesome girl I’m as far as I were Years and years before. What am I waiting for? I think life’s about more... Everything Is turnin’ around, All that swing And all that sound. That lonesome girl And her long black sleeves In the crazy swirl Of the autumn leaves, I’m as far as I were Years and years before. What am I waiting for? I think life’s about more... I’m gonna lose my head And gonna lose my mind, But I’m not afraid, My fears are far behind. The lonesome girl Of that rock’n’roll band In the crazy world Without place to stand. 30 I’m as far as I were Years and years before. What am I waiting for? I think life’s about more... Maybe life’s about her... 31 Hope Over all the four seasons There would be enough reasons, Explanations and facts To sign devil’s contracts, Not to believe in anything, But just to let the door bell ring And let the grim reaper come in, Not even to begin To understand the point of trying, Of laughing and crying, Experience good and bad Feel sorry, happy or sad. But our life’s controversial So why not make it nice. There’s a reason to think twice Before deciding to sacrifice A whole life for naught, And with it every thought. When someone’s mood gets old and cold And a white flag is to raise, With him or her a part of the world Could vanish in the haze. No one said that life’s not hard, But it’s not made to quit. Cos’ everyone’s got chance to start And make the best of it. So the only way to cope Is to believe and stay in hope. 32 Drifting away on moonbeams Out of a glass of water, Out of a cup of tea, Out of an empty whisky bottle Something’s following me. Out of Pandora’s box and Into the holy world, Something that every time the clocks and Watches strike seems swirled. Out of my head and maybe Even out of my mind, Out of nowhere into eternity, A shortcut through mankind. And nothing more, Though nothing less. I am not sure, I must confess. I’m too far lost To say who’s right And who’s to trust, Tell dark from light. Tell truth from dreams, What is, what seems, I’m drifting away On moonbeams. 34 Victims of the crowd If the reason is forgotten, Then the mind’s behind the time. If the space does reach the limit, Then the crowd needs a crime. People need communication Just to prove that they are here. There is plenty to believe in Without meaning, but with fear. With respect you live two hours With your name you never die, But alone you’d leave us quickly So to save yourself you lie. Changing yourself you try to win, Throwing your opinion into the bin, Struggling and giving another try You never reach it and wonder why. Beware the false promises, But believe in peace. Beyond your physical limit Your thoughts are to release. Forever or for never, your love Will bring wisdom from up above, Oxygen to breathe and bread to eat, Wine to drink the ground away under my feet. We are created similar, we share night and day Surrounding the earth or the big milky way. 35 Our inner infinity is equal to our space And no one disappears without leaving any trace. We are victims of the crowd, We are being controlled, We are singing out loud That the truth can’t stay untold. Neither you nor me Nor anyone is wise, As long as there’s a difference Between ugly and nice. Smells like freedom for the people, Smart or stupid for no reason, From the past into the future Live and look and find and die. 36 Hey man Hey man where do you go? Don’t go too high, take a step below. Hey man where do you go? Give me the answer, I wanna know. Hey man what do you play? You’re not more than a chess piece I would say. Move two squares back and stay. You need to learn again everyday. Hey man where do you stand? Look, your shoes are full of sand. Hey man what do you say? Go back home, you’re grounded today. Hey man why do you lie? Have you come to say goodbye? Don’t you have no fear to die? I’m disappointed, I sigh. Hey hey cool down man! Listen to some music and then Maybe you get inspiration again. 37 Musig Kennen Sie die Werke von John Cage? Masch ke Klassik? Masch ke Funk? Hesch e Verstercher U spiusch nume Punk? Abr heimat Stärne, Potz zwöi Tusig, So ne Lärme Nennsch du Musig? Do spili lieber Zimlech flissig Mit Schweiss u Fieber Ds vier drüedrissig. Ha zwar längscht Vor Längwili ke Gnade, Überchume aber zmingscht Ke Ohreschade! 38 What’s your favourite color? What’s your favourite color? Is it green, the one of the dollar? Does it make you feel secure, If you know you’re not one of the poor? What’s your favourite color? Is it blue? For the sake of two third of earth’s surface it’s true. What’s your favourite color? Is your world getting smaller, If you see her dressed in red Would you like her to repaint your bed? What’s your favourite color? Is it brown? The color of the last rocks breaking down. What’s your favourite color? Is it white, does it make you taller? Does it let your inner nature grow, Or had it died too long ago? 39 What’s your favourite color? Is it black? What flows away in time never comes back. What’s your favourite color? If pink makes your day duller, Then to the world you’re too confined, You got trouble in your mind. Take an arrow out of your quiver, Close your eyes and shoot for sure. Change your target, go upriver, Stand and watch the rainbow’s pure. Choose the color you like most, Choose a nice and friendly host, Sleep a night under the moon, And your cure will come soon. In Züri, da atmet man Zürcher Luft pur! 41 Princess of the sunset Once upon a time, very far away On a hill up high, at the end of day All above the clouds, on a wooden bench, A lovely princess sat, reading poems in french. I just stood and watched, felt the summer breeze, Heard mother nature’s whisper in the trees. And when she turned her face, then I saw her smile. I know I am no prince, but I’ll stay for a while. Don’t let me go, princess of the sunset, Hold me in your hands and Never say a word, Never let me go. 42 Carpe Diem said Max Burnie from the no man’s land Sell your mind to make a journey To the no man’s land; Sell it just to meet Max Burnie And to shake his hand; Sell your mind to make a journey But not your heart to draw profit; Say hello to Mr.Burnie If his lamp’s still lit. Oh my mood is getting breezy; Oh my mind is flyin’ away; Now it’s time to take it easy; Now it’s time to seize the day. If you want to make a present Buy the world for me; Know, in fact the world is pleasant, Freedom is for free. I can’t come with you, your journey, Both my shoes are full of sand. “Carpe diem”, said Max Burnie From the no man’s land. 43 Mirror The infinite world behind the mirror Brings about fear as I’m getting nearer. Teasing distortion or bitter reality Leaving proportion, but evoking morality. Repeating every motion At the speed of light, Displaying the emotion Mirrored left with right. Like a sneak attack It hits from the back, Gets me in black Nearly lets me crack. Showing everything from another’s sight, Bringing either horror or delight, But letting nothing overlooked. Kinda letting eat what I have cooked, Consequences of what I’ve done Coming to light just one by one. A second chance or maybe a bunce, Anyway everything’s getting clear at once. Having no idea of oneself at all Considering the image of oneself as too small Looking into the mirror Things are getting clearer So maybe there’s more behind than just a wall. Tiredness Wearily leaning on latch of the door, Never I felt so exhausted before. My sight’s becoming blurred, miss, And i didn’t bow to give you a kiss. I just try not to fall on the floor. 47 Seller of labels A seller of labels, a former scout, Was making good money without any doubt. Sold all till he had none, But for himself he left one, His labels were labelled “sold out”. Eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, acht, neun, zehn. So. 48 House of cards I built a house of hundred cards, and then I took it apart, and rebuilt it again. You’d never understand And think I’m round the bend, But for me it is what I call Zen. 49 Outofahre Türe uf, Chopf abe, bücke, Hocke i di chlini Lücke Zwüsche Länker, Sitz u Türe, Hebu ziehe, no chli füre, So jetz stimmt’s. U Türe zue Jetz no d’Jagge chli uftue, Isch no warm do inne. So. Wo isch dr Schlüssu härecho? Ah do, voilà, dristecke, dräie, Hingerzi, Gas, dr Pfoschte vermäie, Ups, no chli me, fertig, stopp. Brämse, kupple, schaute, hopp! Aues zäme, dr Gurt vergässe. Hätti äch vori söue öpis ässe? Spiegu richte, Liecht alo. Jetz lüttet Öpper a “Hallo, Nei, Mami das isch jetz würklech nid günstig Los, i fahre grad los.” Füre, links, nähr rächts, gradus, E maa mit emne Bluemestrus. Luege, blinke, ispure, fahre. Dr Fahrlehrer seit d’Strass sig voller Gefahre. Beschleunigungsstreife, Outostrass, Vierte Gang u no chli Gas. Was isch do so gfährlech? verstani nid ganz... Bräms, Kollision, Airbag, Ambulanz. 50 Chüssi, Piipse, Liecht a, Krankehus, E maa mit emne Bluemestrus. 51 The Poem I am writing a poem because I’ve got nothing to do. If I could concentrate it would be easier for you, You’d understand what I mean, But you’d better not be listening, Because it may surprise you That the meaning is missing. I just write and write, I waste time day and night, I’ve got nothing to say But I speak anyway. What’s the problem ‘bout that? No reason to get mad! Don’t even try to make a point, Otherwise I have to disappoint you. It would be a contravention, You’d never get the real intension. I’m not hurrying up, I just take my time, As you will see now, this line is easy to rhyme, I don’t hesitate, I’m deep in my craze, I almost cannot escape from the never ending maze. The time passed quickly, but nothing was meant. now it’s getting boring... The End 52 Beauty nature, I’m a human When you see the first bud open, And the first green blade of grass, Slowly flowers will reopen And the winter’s frost get past. Then I will stand up and stare And see what’s all around. All the life’s beginning there. I hear the glorious sound. The harmony of water and fire, Of wind and of ground. My dream and my desire Now finally I found. I wait until the day is over. The sunset is to marvel at. I pick a four-leafed clover And instantly decide, that I’m responsible for you, For your green and for the blue, For your safety and satisfaction every day and night. And I assume the duty To prevent the lost of beauty Of this ravishing rays of the sun and moon light. 53 Because what if today’s morning was the last. What if the sun will never rise again like in the past. I can imagine no surviving in the cold and in the dark. So I just can’t let the obscurity hit the mark. I decide not to skip rope. I go for effort but for hope. I am conscious and I know What difference it makes. Beauty nature, I’m a human, Please forgive me my mistakes. 54 My candle You bring light into the darkness of my mind. You’re unique one of those so difficult to find, So it’s all about you. You bring light into the darkness of my heart. To explain your beauty I don’t know where to start, So it is only you. You bring light into the darkness of my soul. Take the ground away and let me lose control. I don’t know what to do. You are my light, you are my candle. When you ain’t by my side, I fly off the handle. You are my light, you are my candle, My delight, not to mishandle. I want you here where I am, I hope you too do understand. You are my light, you are my candle, My delight, I need you by my side. You are my music, You are my sound, You are the way you are, And you make my world go round. 55 In a pupil’s mind Our school features Very strange creatures, We call them teachers. 57 And they go Twenty men behind his back, Flags and slogans through the air, Running down the same old street, Kicking bottles with their feet. Never wonder, go that way, Never ever look behind, Singing out the same old theme, All the crowd does flow upstream. Seven years are far behind, And they are still on their way, Running like after a call, Aiming directly into a wall They don’t see. But they go, And they go, And they go... 58 No way You go left, I go right. I’m bereft Of hope tonight, But tomorrow May be better, Put my sorrow In a letter, Write it down, Close and send. I won’t drown Till the end. What mislead, What was a lie, Will clean my head And clear my sky. I will look For you today, May a book Show me the way. And we know: This way’s forbidden. But the police don’t know, So it’s where we go. 59 Tuesday evening So my heart’s the rhythm And my soul gives me the blues. Though my mind affects me I got nothing else to lose. I just spread my wings And get me ready for the flight. In the end it’s nothing That won’t pass by. Nothing lasts too long, Maybe just a song Or a lovely smile Stays for a while. Though you learned to swim But you will never learn to fly. If you ask for purpose I will leave without goodbye. I will spread my wings And move to someone I don’t know well. I will try to learn but Maybe fall several times. All in all, I’ll leave, Because I don’t believe In habits and in time To bring a rhyme. 60 Ig und du und mir und hie und jetz Ja do binig, z’oberst obe Früsch agleit us dr Garderobe. I sta hie vorem Abgrund. Du seisch mir, das sig nid so gsund, I bi doch säuber nid so dumm, S’geit mir nume drum Dass du’s versteisch. Ja u de du? Hocksch nume da, Dänksch a nüt und luegsch mi a. Aber i gumpe Grings vora, Dänke no weniger aus du, Schidubida, schidubidu. Was isch de jetz so schlimm do dran? I bi doch nume chli spontan. Ja do si mir, wo immer mir si, Spiut weder e Roue für di no für mi. There are rabbits in your hat, And aces in your sleeves. Although you seem professional With all the tricks you make, They think you are a fraud, The world’s most biggest fake. You were practising hard, But one fact is tragic: There’s little work of art And no real magic. 69 Hush I was born under a sign That hasn’t been discovered yet. And I was keeping a lion In my own house like a pet. I stayed at home for many years Waiting for time to pass by. Then I got fed up of my fears And made a choice: I’ll give a try. First I went out into the street And what I did is catch a cold, Somehow I had to dress my feet But all my money was too old. And so I took my old guitar, Went downtown, sang a blues I didn’t have to go too far They bought me a pair of shoes. 70 I asked myself, how could it be? This world is going crazy! Maybe it needs some help from me, How could I be so lazy? But what am I supposed to do To save the fate of nation? I mustn’t start that feeling blue And get an occupation. But they all say I’m far too old To get myself a job and work. There’s no more talent to unfold ‘Cos I can’t eat with knife and fork. And if they’ll find that I’m about To start a real revolution, Then they are gonna throw me out And off into an institution. People jumping from the tower. Early mornin’, break of day, People give their lives away. Perfect lemmings simulation, Constant loss of communication, Send me back to the real world. Perfect life recycling system Has become our god and wisdom, All the words have lost their meaning, In the age of general opinion. Drawerize whatever you see, Order, count, note and kill it. Send me back to the real world. You’re a product of the system, Which itself is a product of yours. It’s so sad, a desperation, A sentimental pool of tears. I’m Worried, I’m cryin’, don’t know what I’m Supposed to do, but, no, no, no, no! No depressions, cheer up, dude. It’s Just a matter of attitude. Church, politics, demonstrations, Save yourself first if you want to save nations. Perfect lemmings simulation, Constant loss of communication, Send me back to the real world. 73 She I think if freedom had a gender, it would be female. You can see her here and there Running fast or walking slowly, Never resting on a chair, Always wearing her quite holy Little sadness-melting smile, Dressed in green or black or blue, Doesn’t matter, she’s got style, She looks natural and true. You can see her way downtown, Maybe walking down the lake. When you see her dance aroun’ You think life’s a peace of cake. When you meet her, say hello She answers you in Spanish. Sorrows from way long ago Immediately vanish. 74 You can see her here and there, She is omnipresent. Sparkling eyes and long long hair, It’s invariably pleasant Just to meet her face to face. Anyway it’s worth a try, Any time and any place, You’ll like her in any case, And maybe she’ll like you too. Dressed in green or black or blue, All the same, Freedom is her middle name. She’d never turn her back on thee, She’d rather teach you to be free. 75 I wohne am Rhii I träume vom Läbe, Vo Sunne u Räge Und schlofe deswäge So gärn wider ii. I träume vo Liecht, Ghöre Lieder vo mir, I träume vo dir. Und vom Bach wo bärguf Fliesst und Regle bricht Und o Fähler begeit Und vor Uhr wo steit Um wieder chli Alouf z’näh. Lueg doch mau, i weli Richtig Üsi blaui Chugle dräit! Vilech isch’s ja nid so wichtig z’wüsse wo dr Wind här wäit Aber wohi. I wohne am Rhii, Im ne Schloss us Papier, Huusnummer vier. Aber d’Strass het ke Name U di erschte drü Hüser Hei nie exischtiert Und jedä wo probiert Es wiiters z’boue, Gheit ds Loch z’dürab U landet dört, 76 Wo d Wäut ufhört Uf ihn z’lose. Und wenn’s dir nid gfaut, De isch’s no nid verbi, Aue Wind uf dr Wäut Bhautet d’Richtig nid bii. Dr Houptgang entscheidet, D’Biilag spiut mit, Ketchup isch blind Im ne Täuer Pommes Frittes. Weisch, ou Gägewind Bringt Veränderig mit. D’Prinzässin schloft, Macht Winterschlaf, Ds Univärsum hofft Und blibt sehr brav, Was wot me do, I weiss jo ni, Wär d’Schuud nid uf sich gno het, Gfrürt langsam aber sicher ii. I wohne am Rhii, Im ne Schloss us Papier, Huusnummer vier Chume mir vor wi nes zivilisierts Tier. 77 I see I see blue water turning green, I see my drummer playing harp, I see clouds’ edges getting sharp And drops of red rain in-between. I see the sky reflecting tears, I see them all run down the road, I feel their minds in overload And shiver of their ancient fears. I see unfinished and half-planned, I see a rest but I can’t stop, I see a stairway rising up And leading to a tow’r of sand. I see them build their work of art, I see it rise in name of hope, I see them joyf’lly skip the rope And then I see it fall apart. So when they ask me “how d’you know?”, I say “things come and others go”. You never own. You get or lose. The only thing you are to choose Is if you cry for one more chance Or laugh because you had it once. He, the Master of Zen Needless to say, You won’t get of your way, No matter if you stand or sit, No matter if you are asleep, No matter where you go, You let everybody know You’re the one. And every time I see your face I know the moment is right, Because with such a quiet pace no one will hear you tonight. And you will walk along a dark and lonely road in your mind, You’ll see a dog but it won’t bark no matter evil or kind. And even if you say no word you look so terribly cool, And everybody seems to know for sure that you are no fool. And as you walk or stand or sit you seem so emotionless, We know you’re never ever tired ‘cos you avoid the stress. And for at least the half of nation thinks that you are divine, The power of your concentration is too hard to define. And when I look into your eyes I see a depth make me stare, And all the sadness, all the cries, instantly vanish in air. Take a deep breath and then Every tension will release. You’re a Master of Zen, So your power’s in your peace. 80 Stolz Ich bin stolz, hab’ was gutes getan. 81 Trip to London I only wanted to travel to London, But nothing did work the way I wanted it to. I went to the bus station, what do I see? A ticket machine is waiting for me. I had got enough time to find out how it’s used, But it didn’t take long till I got confused. I knew exactly where I wanted to go, It asked me to pay and I tried to do so. It displayed the price: two pounds fifty cents. I knew I had some coins, I searched my pants. Travelling without a ticket is as bad as theft, I looked at my watch: just one minute left. I found a coin, tried to put it inside, But this bloody machine did hurt my pride, This electronic was as stupid as a frying pan, My nice one pound coin jumped out again. 82 I had tried it in vain, but for god’s sake! This machine was to break, burn and throw into a lake! I got depressive, the life was so unfair, I looked behind and saw my bus was there. I got nervous, ‘cos I’ve always been true, At that moment I didn’t know what to do, I decided to go and to catch that one, If I hesitated it would have been gone. I came inside and got frightened because There was a man with a moustache driving the bus. I stayed cool, I didn’t want to shout, I just went ahead and threw him out. At that very moment there was only me. I was driving the bus, I was totally free. Though I didn’t pay a dime, I got to London in time. U mir tschegge nid wieso dr Sonderegger überlegge muess u meckere muess, Wiu dr Öupriis ja scho wieder ufe isch. Es stimmt ja scho, dass me uf Miuch cha verzichte, Abr uf Öu eigentlech ou, mo-mou, Zwifu vernichte, Zitig verbrönne, Zug nid verpasse, Züg möge gönne, U gwinne, verlüre a de Stüre, Die tüüre Agsteuti vo Büre füüre Und spare. Nid mit’m Chare härefahre, Ar Aare entlang fang am Hang, wo bislang no ke Sou ufe isch. Vilech aber ou nume bim Schäfer uf dr grüene Wise, Wo dise mir het bewise, dass was i lise, keni rächte Büechr si. U sit däm isch i mim Chopf nüm Poesie, Sondern nume no Räge, wenn nid Gwitter; U d’Chüe uf dr Wise chätsche trotz em Miuchpriis wiiter. 84 85 eine (fast) leere Seite (almost) an empty Page égalité de droits des langues (prèsque) 86 Good night When night’s solitude comes over hills And gradually but fully stills Excitement, when a mere breath chills Your soul and then your heart, then fills Your body up with shiver Close your eyes, They are as deep As are the skies.
