WiPro III CAN bus wireless alarm system for motor homes

The third generation of this alarm system for motor homes still uses no motion detectors. The new
wireless magnetic contacts are adapted to the
newest window frames for effective protection of
the vehicle body. This prevents false alarms and
the alarm system provides protection when it is
most important – when you are inside!
The integrated interior siren and self-adhesive
mounting are only some of the features that
make WiPro III even more intelligent. The newest
generation of the CAN driver analyses the information from original equipment remote controls and
door contacts of your motor home from 2006 onward. WiPro III monitors older vehicles via analog
inputs. In both cases, up to 100 wireless security
components can be added. For vehicles from 2006
onward, WiPro III is available with a vehicle-specific cable assembly and mounting material.
In combination with Pro-finder, you will be informed in the event of an alarm so you can locate
the vehicle.
The modularity of the WiPro III makes it the right
alarm system for every motor home.
Ventilation function:
Single openings secured by radio magnetic contacts
can be opened for ventilation before activating the
alarm system and can be closed later without new
operation of the alarm system.
Vent Check (departure control):
If secured roof windows, flaps, windows, etc. are still
open when the car ignition is switched on, WiPro III will
indicate that by an audio warning of the internal siren.
Thereby demolished roof windows or flaps are a thing
of the past.
Subsequent extension „easy add“
It is not so easy to consider everything in advance concerning such a complex subject like an alarm system.
If you notice a gap in your safety concept or if the conditions of the vehicle change, the „easy add“ function
makes it easy for you to interlink new radio accessories
later on, without visiting the workshop.

The wireless magnetic contacts at the windows, doors and roof openings secure the interior of the vehicle and can also be used to protect
the rear external storage locker and roof boxes. Wireless magnetic
contacts can also be used to secure lockers and sliding bulkheads
on yachts.
White wireless magnetic contacts are especially inconspicuous on
light-coloured doors. On windows, we recommend using the black
wireless magnetic contacts.

The gas alarms supplement the security system to detect even the smallest
concentrations of narcotic gases as well as propane and butane, which might
be caused by gas leaks in your vehicle’s gas supply. The wireless connection of

Pro-finder alerts you in case of an attempted intrusion by sending SMS
messages to up to ten mobile phones. You can request a status report at
any time by phone or SMS. This report will show the status of the system
as well as the status of the inputs and outputs. Together with WiPro and an
optional gas alarm system (wireless gas alarm or G.A.S.-pro), you will also
be alerted in case gas is present for any reason (gas leak etc.). Low supply
voltage will also be reported via SMS.
The two outputs can be used for remote control of consumers, such as
auxiliary heating or air conditioning (by means of continuous and temporary switching or pulse switching). Of course, WiPro can be armed and
disarmed via SMS as well. Depending on the GSM provider, the Pro-finder
will also inform you about your prepaid amount left on the SIM Card. The
connection to WiPro is established easily by a common RJ 11 interface.

The concept:
As with all Thitronik systems, the main focus during the development of
the C.A.S. system, in addition to maximum security and user-friendliness,
was on the ability to use the system in yachts and caravans, for which no
suitable alarm systems were previously available.
Therefore, a backup battery was incorporated for use in caravans, since
most models do not have a separate battery. This means that a burglar
can easily disable a conventional alarm system by simply pulling the plug.
A special consideration for use in yachts is the high exposure to moisture and saltwater. C.A.S. therefore features a Gore Tex™ membrane and
seals, which ensure reliable operation even under water. The titanic oxide coating and V4A screws provide additional protection from adverse
environmental effects.
Of course, C.A.S. requires no motion detectors or other sensors, which
could hinder user-friendliness and cause false alarms.
Instead C.A.S. uses security coded wireless magnetic contacts to secure
the entrances, windows and hatches. This results in minimised installation
requirements as well as the benefit that persons or pets can stay inside the
living space while the system is armed without deactivating any sensor.
C.A.S. includes a loud siren, as well as ultra bright LED flashing lights and
a back-up battery, which provides power for the system, in case the power
supply is interrupted or sabotaged. C.A.S. simply has to be fitted on the
roof or mast and connected to 12 VDC. Due to the security coded wireless
contacts, the system is immediately ready for use.

Useful information about alarm systems
Why not use motion detectors with vehicle alarm systems?
Motion detectors, no matter which type (ultrasonic or infrared), will react to motion, as
the name implies. For this type of detector, there is no difference between persons inside the
vehicle or, for example, shifting curtains caused by draught.
Some systems offer the possibility to disable the sensor in the former case; however, this also
reduces the security level provided by the system. In the second case, it often helps to reduce
the sensitivity; however, this usually means that the range does not cover the entire interior
of the vehicle.
We would like to ensure the highest level of security at all times. That is the reason why we do
not use motion detectors at all. In building alarm systems, however, motion detectors are not
only useful, but indispensable.
Electric smog caused by wireless alarm systems?
The wireless transmitters of our alarm system will only transmit when they are triggered.
In case of wireless magnetic contacts, for example, that will only happen when a secured window or door is opened or closed.
This process takes a fraction of a second at very low power. Compared to a mobile phone,
a wireless magnetic contact would have to transmit continuously for several months to reach
the same level of electric smog as produced by a two-minute call made from your mobile
phone.
What happens if the batteries of the wireless transmitters are empty?
The average battery lifetime at normal usage (20 transmissions per day) for the wireless
transmitters will be approx. 2 years.
Long before a battery reaches the end of its lifetime, the transmitter will inform the main
unit about that state; the main unit then sends an acoustic signal to pass that information on
to the user.
The batteries used are common CR2032 cells, which can be replaced very easily.

G.A.S.-pro detects any narcotic gas used for gas attacks, as well
as propane and butane. The software controlled temperature
compensation ensures reliable operation even under extreme
conditions. The main unit can be mounted in a concealed area
behind furniture, so that it is not visible in the living area.

vehicle occupants of leaking propane and butane gas and also
reliably detects narcotic gases in minimal quantities long before
a dangerous concentration is reached.
Simply plug the G.A.S.-plug “all in one” into the cigarette lighter
and it will operate reliably even under extreme conditions, due
to software-controlled temperature compensation and continuous automatic self tests.

Useful information for your safety
Narcotic gases, only a popular myth?
Narcotic gases are not only available for military special forces or doctors. They can be
purchased in pharmacies or chemical stores.
If these gases are injected in the ventilation for example, they will vaporize at room temperature. Only a couple of breaths later the persons inside will fall into a kind of twilight sleep.
In most cases the intruder only uses a small quantity to make sure the sleeping victims are not
able to react any more. Victims often report that they were not asleep; they noticed the intruders, but were not able to do anything.
Where should the gas sensor be installed?
Narcotic gases as well as propane and butane are heavier than air and will concentrate at
the floor. The sensor should be located close to the floor, but at least below the bed.
Carbon monoxide, on the other hand, has the same density as air and therefore spreads evenly.
Therefore, the CO sensor can be mounted at any position. If the CO sensor is also used as
a smoke detector, installation close to the ceiling is necessary.
Protect your mobile home from intruders:
Never leave valuables such as cameras, navigation systems, mobile phones, etc. where they
are visible. That only arouses covetousness, which it is better to avoid.
If you spend the night at a rest stop for whatever reason, you should be aware of the increased
risk of burglary at such a location. To increase security at rest stops, do not park so that the
view is blocked by trucks, for example. They provide welcome protection for intruders. If possible, park next to other travellers, ideally near a streetlight. Burglars tend to avoid light ...
The best place to spend the night is at a campground. They offer the highest degree of security, since the escape routes are very unfavourable for burglars. To minimize residual risks while
travelling, you should always activate the gas alarm and the alarm system whenever you stay
inside the vehicle.
