1 Validity
These shipping instructions (date: 09.10.2012) are valid from Oct 9th, 2012 for all
plants listed under chapter 2 until recall. This rule may be modified, supplemented or
replaced by plant-specific logistic concepts and is valid for all deliveries based on
EXW or FCA terms. These instructions are not valid for raw material supplies.
Shipments of raw material will be negotiated between cental logistics, purchasing
and the steel supplier individually. In addition, our general conditions of purchase
remain effective. In case of non-observance all additional costs will be charged as
incurred.

3 Definition „shipment“
A shipment is the sum of all packages which are send on one day from one plant to
one recipient. It may happen that the supplier receives multiple orders for several
parts but for the same receiving plant and delivery date. These orders have to be
consolidated to one shipment.
4 Company names of the Mubea Group
Due to different company names within the Mubea Group a faultless adressing of
delivery notes and transport documents should be guaranteed. The same is valid for
placing transport orders. Each of our order number gives conclusion about the
delivery and invoice addresses.

4.2 Importance of assignment / futher requirements
Due to the many Mubea plants / companies a correct assignment of company name /
plant is absolutely necessary. Each of our order numbers contain this information.

Mode of transport
In line with the existing delivery schedules and single orders, EXW and FCA
shipments have to be handled as follows:
5.1 Parcels up to 32 kg
Parcels and shipments up to 32 kgs have to be send via UPS, Standard Service.
Please note that for shipments at the expense of Mubea, the supplier needs an
account number. If this does not exist you will shortly receive your own UPS
customer number by requesting it at the following eMail address:
[email protected]
For shipment processing you may use all services and software UPS offers. For
further details please visit your local UPS website. Please note that deliveries to
Mubea require the following information:

„Third party billing“ as billing information („collect“ is not allowed to use)

If „third party billing“ is choosen please be aware that UPS is requesting

5.4 Collection advise at Leopold Schäfer, Neunkirchen
Please download the collection advise form which has to be used under the following
link:

The collection advise has to be sent by eMail only. In case the supplier does not
keep to this procedure, it will be documented and reported to Mubea purchasing and
logistics department.

5.4.2 Advise times
For general cargo the advise has to be sent on day A (up to 3.000 kgs until 4 pm,
over 3000 kgs until noon.) The pick-up is on day B. Within Germany the delivery
is on day C/D.
For European suppliers the transit times may vary between three and seven days.
Please contact Leopold Schäfer for more information. In any case, our dates
given have to be strictly adhered to.

5.5 Shipment documentation
It is mandatory to fix the delivery notes safely on the packing pieces. Also the
supplier has to hand over a transport document (freight order or CMR) to the driver at
collection. UPS labels have to be attached to the packing units as well. In case label
get lost, all packing units have to be marked with the receiving address. Customs
papers have to be handed over to the driver in a separate envelope addressed to
Leopold Schäfer, D-Neunkirchen (address as before). For security reasons please

send customs papers by eMail to [email protected] stating the
Mubea order number along with the pick-up date that was requested.
Please mention our order number to be mandatory on all documents and eMails.
5.6 Transport of machines and equipment
In case of oversized machines (also including high weights and high values) these
shipping instructions do not apply. These kind of transports have to be coordinated
with our central logistic department.

Free domicile deliveries
Please consider the instructions as recommendation in case we agreed to DAP
terms. Billing of transport costs on the supplier’s invoice is generally not accepted.

Expedited and Air- Freights
Expedited transports ordered by the supplier at the expense of a Mubea plant will not
be paid. All airfreight and expedite transports have to be handled in coordination with
the central logistics department in Attendorn.
