PRAKTISCHE INFOS
The Castle is open every day (except Christmas and
New Year), from 10 am tot 5 pm (last admission at
5 pm). In July and August the last admission is at
6 pm.
Außer an Weihnachten und Neujahr ist die Burg alle
Tage von 10 bis 17 Uhr (letzter Abgang um 17 Uhr)
geöffnet. Im Juli und August letzter Abgang um
18 Uhr.
THE TOURS
BESICHTIGUNGSRUNDGÄNGE
The tour “1000 Years of History” contains two
parts.The first part, “The Fortifications”, allows you
to discover the bastions, the ramparts, and the
parapets. The second part follows the tour “Sedan,
a Principality”.
Der Rundgang „1000 Jahre Geschichte“
umfasst zwei Teile. Beim ersten Teil „Die Befestigungen“ entdecken Sie die Bollwerke, die Festungsmauern und die Wehrgänge.
Der zweite Teil ist der Rundgang „Sedan, ein Fürstentum“.

explore the personal life of the Princes: their
biographies, their everyday life, symbols of their
power (money, collection of armour, etc...)

Biographie, ihren Alltag, in die Symbole ihrer Macht

outdoor part.

Tour “Sedan, a Principality”: museum
about 60 minutes, no outdoor parts, and partly
accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Rundgang „Sedan, ein Fürstentum“: nur das Museum circa 1 Stunde, alles überdacht und ein Teil ist barrierefrei.

GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOL GROUPS
Come spend a day at the Castle! In addition to a tour
(with or without tour guide), students participate in
an activity such as an acrobatic show or a medieval
meal. Attending a medieval tale or renting surcoats
will make school children feel like young soldiers of
the Prince of Sedan.

From 24 June to 8 July 2016
This festival, organized by the MJC Calonne,
combines music and historical sites. Several
concerts are scheduled at the Castle, giving visitors
the opportunity to discover talented artists.

• From 02 July to 24 August 2016: Chivalry
Tournament at 3 pm (every day except Thursday).
