Weitzendörffern] Christian Gotthelff getaufft worden. The 28th of August 1775 early around 1 a.m., a son, Christian Gotthelf Brix was born to Christian Friedrich Brix, citizen and day worker here [Mittweida] and wife Anna Sophia born Merkel. He was baptized 30 August 1775 [by H. M. Weitzendoerffern]. Die Pathen: Witnesses: 1) Mstr. Johann Christian Schultze, Bürger, Zeug- und Leinweber allhier; 1) Master Johann Christian Schultze, citizen, fabric and linen weaver here. 2) Jfr. Johanna Dorothea, weil. Mstr. Gottfried Arnolds, Bürgers, Zeug- und Leinwebers allhier, hinterl. einzige Tochter; 2) Miss (maiden) Johanna Dorothea, only surviving daughter of the late Master Gottfried Arnolds, citizen, fabric and linen weaver here. 3) Johann Gottlob Seidewitz, juv. Lohgerbergeselle, Gottlieb Seidewitzens, Bleichermeisters allhier, ältester ehel. Sohn; 3) Johann Gottlob Seidewitz, eldest (married) son and apprentice tanner of Gottlieb Seidewitz, master bleacher here.
