RULES FOR PAPERS
1. Papers can be written in Portuguese, English or Castellano when submitted to the
conference topics. When submitted to a thematic panel, the authors should verify
the language conditions of the panel proponents.
2. Texts must be processed in Microsoft Word for Windows (97 or later version), A4
format, font Times New Roman, size 12, spacing 1.5, top, bottom and side margins
of 3 cm.
3. Papers should not exceed 20 pages, numbered on the bottom right, including
charts, tables, pictures, drawings, diagrams and other figures, references and
attachments.
4. Papers should present whenever possible the following structure:
TITLE in capital letter (size 14, bold), centered.
AUTHOR(S) NAME(S) (12, normal), centered, the author’s name, author’s affiliation,
country and e-mail, single space between authors.
ABSTRACT (12, normal), centered, the author’s name, author’s affiliation, country
and e-mail, single space between authors.
KEY-WORDS up to five.
INTRODUCTION and the remaining sections (as the title, left-justified, text spacing
from previous one two lines).
TABLES and FIGURES are numbered sequentially using Arabic numbers only, in
lower case, bold, size 12, and centered; must contain a clear source reference. These
shall be as clear as possible. Each must have a title and, if applicable, a legend.
REFERENCES The references listed at the end of each paper shall only contain
citations and references actually mentioned in the text.
In the text, refer the author surname and the year of publication (Cudworth, 2003); in
the case of two authors, separated by & and the year of publication (Ferreira &
Mendes, 2004); for more than two authors, refer the surname of the first one followed
of et al. and the year of publication (Mendes et al., 2002); references in the text should
be ranked by chronological order.
References must be listed alphabetically by authors’ surnames, at the end of the
manuscript. This list should follow the following format:
