Alghero
The city of Alghero is situated in the NorthWest of the island on the Coral Riviera.
The city’s historical origins date back to the
Genoans. At the start of the 14th Century
the city came under Catalan rule and
remained so for about four hundred years
until it become the Kingdom of Sardinia
and the embryo of the Italian state.
It is this melting-pot of architectural styles
which makes the old town so picturesque:
tiny churches and buildings are found
around every corner in its maze of colourful
and lively side-streets.
The city of Alghero is without doubt one of
the island’s entertainment hotspots.

of Anghelu Ruju, to the prehistoric
sanctuary of Monte d’Accodi and to the
Roman city of Turris Lybissonis.
Guided excursions by jeep or minibus in the evocative mountain ranges
of Gennargentu and Limbara, and
Supramonte in the astoundin gly beautiful
gorge of Su Gorroppu (the deepest canyon

Alghero
Die Stadt Alghero liegt an der
Nordwestküste Sardiniens, die auch
“Riviera del Corallo” genannt wird.
Anfang des 14. Jahrhunderts wurde
die Stadt katalanisch und blieb es
ungefähr vierhundert Jahre lang bis zur
Eroberung der Insel durch die Savoyer.
Das malerische Zentrum der Altstadt
wird durch historische Gebäude
verschiedener architektonischer Stile,
eine Vielzahl kleiner Kirchen und
ein Labyrinth bunter und lebhafter
Gässchen geprägt.
Alghero ist sicherlich eine der
erlebnisreichsten Städte auf Sardinien.

Es sind Studentenwohnungen, Jugendherbergen, Ferienbauernhöfe, B&B und

Außerdem ist die Unterbringung bei einer Gastfamilie mit Küchenbenutzung
oder Halbpension möglich.
SEHENSWÜRDIGKEITEN
Es werden verschiedenste Besichtigungen
und Touren angeboten: tägliche Bootsausflüge
entlang der Riviera del Corallo zum Capo
Caccia; geführte Besichtigungen der
nuraghischen Anlagen von Palmavera und
Torralba, der Nekropolis von Anghelu Ruju, des
vorgeschichtlichen Altars von Monte d’Accoddi
und den Ruinen der römischen Stadt von Turris
Lybissonis; geführte Ausflüge im Geländewagen
oder Minibus durch die Gebirgslandschaften

Italian Courses
Our school and the courses we offer
The school is situated in the heart of Alghero’s old town just a short
walk from the picturesque harbour, an ideal location for exploring
the region’s breathtaking beaches.
Courses are available in General Italian (20 lessons per week),
Italian and Cookery, Italian and Sport (Sailing, Surfing, Tennis
etc). NEW: Italian and Latin and Italian and History of Art of the
island of Sardinia.
The quality of Italiano in Riviera courses
Qualified native-speaking teachers, simple and effective
teaching methods, small groups of 6-8 students in a fun and
stimulating atmosphere.
THE COURSES
“General course”
Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate
and Advanced Course are proposed.
The Course takes place every day from
Monday to Friday and is composed of 4
daily Lessons, generally in the morning
from 9.15 a.m. until 12.55 p.m. The work
carried out in the first part of the morning
regards fundamentally grammar and
language use.
The second part is dedicated to conversation,
listening, group activity and games.
The aims of the course are therefore:
• Develop the basic
four language
capacities (speaking, listening, reading,
writing) With particular emphasis,
as said before, on improving and
strengthening the security and fluency
in speaking the language.
• Stimulate the students to understand
the correct role of the language through
real situations. Encourage the use of the
language by team work.
• Improve the students’ capacity to
communicate through self-study, also using
educational material and the language
laboratory provided by the school.
“Combined course”
Elementary, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate
and Advanced courses are proposed. The
Combined Course is composed of 4 lessons
of “General Course” in the morning (or
afternoon) every day from Monday to Friday,
plus 1 individual lesson each day. This course
permits a combination of the advantages of a
group course with one to one lesson with the
teacher. The benefit is having the possibility
to organise freely the individual lesson in
agreement with the teacher and at the same
time be able to draw the maximum benefits
from attending a “group” course.
“Italian + water sports”
These activities are combined with
above- mentioned courses.
The Italian course+ water sports is
made up of 4 lessons in the General
Course in the morning ( or afternoon)
every day from Monday to Friday.
There is a choice of lessons between
sailing, windsurf, or scuba diving, these
can be done every week day or every
second day. The sailing and scuba diving
lessons are carried out in a yacht club in
the heart of tourist port in Alghero , only
2 minutes on foot from the school. They
are carried out by qualified instructors
who possess a licence issued by the
Italian Sailing Federation.
For those who choose windsurf as a
water sport, aswsociated to the General
Course, the lessons are held at the
Alghero Lido near the splendid beach
of “Maria Pia”.
“Italian + tennis”
This activity is combined with the above
mentioned course. The Italian Course
+ tennis is made up of 4 lessons in
the General Course in the morning (or
afternoon) every day from Monday to
Friday + tennis lessons at the Alghero
tennis club.
The tennis lessons are held on cement
beaten earth courts by Federal instructors,
“FIT”, normally in the evening after 6p.m.
(each lesson lasts about 2 hours on
Monday , Wednesday and Friday).
“Italian + cookery”
This activity is combined with the abovementioned courses. The Italian Course
+ Cookery is made up of 4 lessons in
the General Course in the morning ( or
afternoon) every day from Monday to
Friday + pratical cookery lessons, twice a
week, directly in the student ‘s home!

Italienischkurse
Die Schule und die Kurse
Unsere Schule befindet sich nur 5 Gehminuten von der Altstadt von
Alghero und den Stränden der Riviera del Corallo entfernt.
Das Sprachkursangebot umfasst verschiedenste Kurse:
Standardkurs (20 Wochenstunden), Italienisch in der
Küche, Italienisch und Sport (z.B. Segeln, Windsurfen oder
Tennis), Italienisch und Latein (NEU!) sowie Italienisch und
Kunstgeschichte Sardiniens.
Die Qualität der Kurse von “Italiano in Riviera”
Wird durch qualifizierte italienische Lehrer, einfache und
wirkungsvolle Lehrmethoden und eine heitere, anregende
Atmosphäre in Klassen mit maximal 6-8 Teilnehmern garantiert.
KURSEN
“Standardkurs”
Diese Kursmodalität wird für die Niveaus
Anfänger, Grund-, Mittelstufe und Fortgeschrittene angeboten.
Die Kurse werden täglich von Montag bis Freitag durchgeführt und bestehen aus 4 Lektionen
pro Tag, die gewöhnlich am Morgen von 9.15
bis 12.55 gehalten werden.
Der erste Teil am Morgen des Unterrichtes
befasst sich hauptsächlich mit der Grammatik
und Anwendung der Sprache. Der zweite Teil
besteht überwiegend aus Konversation, Hörverstehen, Gruppenarbeit und Spielen.
Die Zielsetzung des Kurses ist:
• Die vier linguistischen Basisfähigkeiten
(Sprechen, Hörverstehen, Lesen und
Schreiben) zu entwickeln, wobei wie schon
zuvor erwähnt besonderen Wert auf die
gesprochene Sprache gelegt wird um mehr
Sicherheit zu erlangen durch eine Verbesserung und Verstärkung.
• Den Studenten anzuregen den richtigen
Sprachablauf durch realistische Situationen zu verstehen.
• Die Anwendung der Sprache durch Gruppenarbeit zu begünstigen.
• Die Mitteilungsfähigkeiten der Studenten durch autonomes Studium unter
Verwendung des Lehrmaterials und des
Sprachlabors,das von der der Schule zur
Verfügung gestellt wird zu verbessern.
“Kombinationskurs”
Diese Kursmodalität wird für die Niveaus Anfänger,
Grund-, Mittelstufe und Fortgeschrittene angeboten.
Der Kombinationskurs setzt sich aus 4 Lektionen
des Standardkurses am Vormittag (oder Nachmittag)
jeden Tag von Montag bis Freitag und einer zusätzlichen Stunde Einzelunterricht pro Tag zusammen.
Dieser Kurs bietet die Vorteile des Gruppenunterrichtes und des Einzelunterrichtes mit dem
Lehrer. Der Vorteil liegt darin, dass der Teilnehmer
die Möglichkeit hat autonom den Einzelunterricht
mit dem Lehrer zu vereinbaren und gleichzeitig
die Vorteile des Gruppenunterrichtes zu nutzen.
“Italienisch + Wassersport”
Diese Kursmodalität wird für die Niveaus Anfänger,
Grund-, Mittelstufe und Fortgeschrittene angeboten.
Der Kurs “Italienisch + Wassersport” besteht aus 4 Lektionen des Standardkurses am
Morgen (oder am Nachmittag) jeden Tag von
Montag bis Freitag + Lektionen je nach Wahl
zwischen Segeln, Windsurf oder Scuba Diving
täglich oder jeden zweiten Tag.
Der Segel- und Tauchunterricht findet in einem
Yacht Club statt, der sich Mitten im Touristikhafen
von Alghero 2 Minuten zu Fuss von der Schule
befindet. Der Unterricht erfolgt durch qualifizierte
Lehrer,die im Besitz des Segelführerschein des
italienischen Segelverbandes sind. Diejenigen, die
in Verbindung mit dem Standardsprachkurs Windsurfen als Wassersport wählen, erhalten ihren
Surfunterricht am Strand von Alghero ganz in der
Nähe des wunderschönen Strandes Maria Pia.
“Italienisch + Tennis”
Diese Kursmodalität wird für die Niveaus Anfänger,
Grund-, Mittelstufe und Fortgeschrittene angeboten.
Der Kurs “Italienisch + Tennis” besteht aus 4
Lektionen des Standardsprachkurses am Morgen
(oder Nachmittag) jeden Tag von Montag bis Freitag + Tennisunterricht im Tennis Club von Alghero.
Die Tenniskurse erfolgen normalerweise am
Abend nach 18 Uhr auf Hart- und Sandplätzen
und werden von Lehrern des italienischen Tennisverbandes FIT gehalten (jede Lektion dauert ca. 2
Stunden, am Montag, Mittwoch und Freitag).
“Italienisch + Kochen”
Diese Kursmodalität wird für die Niveaus
Anfänger, Grund-, Mittelstufe und Fortgeschrittene angeboten. Der Kurs “Italienisch
+ Kochen” besteht aus 4 Lektionen des
Standardsprachkurses am Morgen (oder
Nachmittag) jeden Tag von Montag bis Freitag
+ praktischen Kochunterricht ein paarmal
direkt in der Küche des Teilnehmers! (Nach
Vereinbarung mit dem Italienischlehrer).

Italiano in Riviera has been involved in the
field of language teaching for 10 years,
offering courses in Italian as a second
language, English, Spanish and French.
Our staff is made up of young, enthusiastic,
qualified professionals with teaching
experience and a good knowledge of at least
two foreign languages, besides Italian.
The school’s Director, Piermario Cesaraccio,
and his colleagues will be willing to give you
any help you may require regarding coursework, accommodation or anything else
during your stay in Sardinia.

Schon seit 10 Jahren ist “Italiano in
Riviera” im Bereich des Sprachunterrichts
mit Italienisch als Fremdsprache, Englisch,
Spanisch und Französisch tätig.
Unser Team besteht aus jungen,
qualifizierten Lehrern, die Erfahrung
im Unterrichten
haben und außer
Italienisch noch mindestens zwei weitere
Fremdsprachen beherrschen.
Der Schulleiter Piermario Cesaraccio
und seine Mitarbeiter stehen den
Sprachstudenten
während
ihres
Aufenthaltes in Sardinien jederzeit bei
Fragen zu Unterricht, Unterkunft oder
