1 – Getting Registered
New User ID and Password

An S-User ID is required by each individual to access the portals within SAP Service Marketplace.
To request a user ID you must know your Partner ID number.
New user Registration (4 essential steps)
1. Go to www.service.sap.com & click on ‘New User? Register Here!’
Complete the registration form
- Check partner option radio-button
- Enter Partner ID number
Contact your SAP Partner Manager for this Partner ID or
CIC (Customer Interaction Center) may be contacted if Partner ID is not known:

Use only Partner organization e-mail address

A registration Password is displayed
Make a note of this password as it will only be displayed once.
Password will be required to complete the registration at a later stage.
2. Confirmation notification
SMP confirmation should be received within 2 days
This will contain a link that will provide a new S-User ID and initial password
3. Log into SMP using S-userID provided by system

4. Contact your ‘Super Admin User’ for authorizations
Default authorizations are very limited

Click on the link - “SAP Support Portal ”

3 – SMP Access Rights
Authorization Levels

Default S-User registration comes with basic access authorization levels only
Additional authorization levels are required for ALL software:
- Download capability &
- Technical Support options
Contact your “Super Admin” and request the “Software Download ” Authorization
- Locate your ‘Super Admin’ e-mail address via the “Display my Super-administrators” option
This is the “my Profile” page with links to the following:

This page displays your SMP authorizations
If your account was created by your Super-Administrator, they may have granted the
“Software download” authorization at account creation time.
These individuals can make changes to your SMP authorizations.
Contact them first if you are unable to download software.
You WILL need to contact them via e-mail to request:

5 – Software Download Process
Downloading
- Use the “Downloads” link from the Default Support page (see section 4 of this document)
- Or, from the Tab options shown below
- E.g. Choose from:
- Business Objects Packages and Products - click on “follow this link”
- Support Software and Corrections - click on “service.sap.com / bosap-supportsw”

5.1 – Software Download Process
- Download Basket
Clicking

opens the “SAP Download Area” dialog
to view contents of basket (each time)
You are required to install the Download manager initially (once only) via
Now simply click the product link to Download product - “Save File Download” dialog should appear.
If this produces an error instead – you may not have the Software Download” authorization
Contact your Super Admin in this case. See section 4 for more detail on this.

- Only available after invoicing is complete
Temporary License Keys
- All product keys in one zip file
- Generally valid for 90 days
