German Championships for School Teams
JFKS Badminton Team (Wk II) in 2015 placed 15th among all German
School Teams at the German Finals of "Jugend trainiert für Olympia"
(JtfO).
JFKS Golf Team (Wk III) performed in September 2015 at the
German Finals of "Jugend trainiert für Olympia" (JtfO) in Heidelberg
and won as BEST TEAM IN GERMANY.
JFKS Rowing Team (Wk II) competed in the "coxed quadruple skull"
boat in September '15 at the German Finals of "Jugend trainiert für
th
Olympia"(JtfO) in Berlin-Grünau and was placed 8 .
JFKS Badminton Team will practice
during Activity hours
on Mon 16:00 - 17:00 (HS)
and Tue 11:30 - 12:15 (ES)
JFKS Golf Team is currently in the
process of establishing.
JFKS Rowing Teams are practicing
on Mon/Thur 16:30 - 18:30 to get
prepared for regattas on Oct 1st
and Nov 6th.
Berlin City Championships for School Teams
JFKS Badminton Teams competed with other schools in Berlin, won
the Berlin Finals in Wk III and was placed 2nd in Wk II.
JFKS Boys' Basketball Team (Wk I/L) competed with several other
schools and were placed 2 nd in the city of Berlin.
JFKS Boys' Basketball Team (Wk II/L) performed in a city-wide
tournament and were placed 2nd.
JFKS Boys' Basketball Team (Wk III/L) came in fourth place among
various schools in a city-wide round.
JFKS ES Basketball Team (Wk IV/L mixed) played in the Final Four
Tournament and were placed 3rd in the city of Berlin.
JFKS Girls' Beach Handball Team placed 3 rd and won bronze medal
among all schools in Berlin.
JFKS Rowing Team (Wk II) won the "coxed quadruple skull" event
in June '15 at the Berlin Finals of "Jugend trainiert für Olympia" in
Berlin-Grünau.
The JFKS Swim team achieved an 11th place in the city-wide swim
competition for all High Schools in Berlin.
3rd grade Swim team traditionally competes in swimming and diving
disciplines with teams of other Elementary Schools in the district of
Steglitz-Zehlendorf, was placed second in the district and qualified
for the Berlin Finals.
Unfortunately, no activity hours in
the 2015/16 school year.
JFKS 3rd grade Swim team came in on third place when competing
with other swim teams of Elementary Schools from the 16 districts
of the city. Best result in the history of JFKS!
JFKS ES Tennis Team (Wk IV) achieved gold medal as best mixed
team in the city-wide competition of "Jugend trainiert für Olympia".
First Place in Berlin for JFKS Mixed Double Tennis Team WK IV.
JFKS ES Tennis Team (Wk IV) was placed 1st in the city-wide
competition for doubles (mini-court).
Unfortunately never regular
activity hours given.
Relay Day in the District of Steglitz-Zehlendorf
On Wednesday, September 16th twelve JFKS Sprint Teams (4x100m)
and eleven JFKS Middle Distance Teams (3x800m) competed with
other school teams in the district to qualify for the Berlin Finals.
Seven Sprint Teams and eight Middle Distance Teams made it to the
Finals which will take place on WED, Sept. 30th
Berlin Relay Finals
10 JFKS Relays competed in the Berlin Finals for High School Teams
on September 30th. The JFKS Girls' Team Wk II 3x800m was able
to beat all other teams and is 2015 Berlin Champion! The 3x800m
Boys' Team Wk I and the Girls' Team Wk III were both placed 2 nd.
Beside these glorious results JFKS Teams achieved another 5 th and
two 6th places in the Berlin Finals.
Cross Country Championships in the District of Zehlendorf
On Tuesday, October 6th about 130 students from ES and HS participated in the 2015 event of the Cross Running Championships in
the district at the "Rodelbahn" near "Onkel-Tom-Straße". More than
sixty JFKS athletes qualified for the Berlin Finals in April 2016.
JFKS students achieved six victories, two silver medals and four
bronze medals in the district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. Dedication,
great sportsmanship and excellent school spirit was shown by each
single participant.
CROSS COUNTRY / BERLIN FINALS 2016
More than 60 JFKS students had qualified for the Berlin Finals that
took place on a cloudy Saturday in April 2015 at the Olympic Horse
Riding Stadium as part of the Olympic Parc Berlin. All students from
JFKS competed successfully with several students from more than
200 schools in the city of Berlin, several students were placed among
the best twenty-five students in their age groups! SAMANTHA R.
(10th grade) and MICHAEL A. (12th grade) won their races and are
BERLIN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONS. A job well done, CROSS
TEAM!!

Saturday in April. The course will
be started in the Olympic Horse
Riding Stadium in Charlottenburg
close to the Olympic Park.
