When PMB together with the producer Seoan came
up with the magical concept of “Buddha Sounds”,
we did not imagine that we were creating one of
the greatest releases of the company (artistically
and commercially alike). It is the incomparable
combination of chill out electronic textures and the
addition of exotic Hindu tones that have made the
album a remarkable step forward for electronic
music this century. Besides Seoan’s matchless
subtlety (that has marked a high in his career and
for which he has gained respect all over Europe),
Ekaterina Lartchenko’s enchanting violin also
stands out. She as well performs the vocals on the
unforgettable “Mope Okerh” in her native Russian.
“Buddha Sounds” marks the beginning of an
adventure that takes you to a second volume and a
third in the making, but does not stop
there...nobody knows where it will.

Today more than ever, Buenos Aires is a tourist
capital on a par with the most beautiful, intense
and seductive in the world, and tango, as we
already know, is its most distinctive sound, the
sound realization of the ‘porteño’ spirit. “Tango
Chill Sessions” celebrates this tradition by
combining wandering pianos, melancholic
bandoneons and guitars from the poor side of town
with slow electronic percussion, producing an
original, sensual, landscape effect. “Tango Chill
Sessions” uses tango vocabulary without losing the
essence of the sound that expresses the taste of
Buenos Aires like no other. It includes versions of
“Adios Nonino”, “Libertango” and “Verano Porteño”
which reset the context for all the once expressed
feeling by the master and composer of such
illustrious pages, Astor Piazzolla.
