obras de Structural Constellation como
uma chamada de atenção para a reavaliação
constante do que é a realidade. Este efeito
é conseguido através da exploração de
condições específicas como a ambiguidade
de dimensões e de perspectivas: "In the
Structural Constellations series Albers
undertook an exhaustive exploration of a
highly restrictive set of parameters. Each
Structural Constellation is a rotationally
symmetric configuration of straight lines,
centered within a 12 × 16 grid, which can

Outra citação que contribui para a
compreensão do título escolhido por Albers
é de Neal David Benezra, director do San
Francisco Museum of Modern Art: "Albers's
non-Euclidean geometry postulates a sphere
of the imagination where such relations
are possible. In titling his work Structural
Constellations (and Gemini), Albers
be viewed as a two-dimensional rendering
of a three-dimensional object. He designed
these floating forms to produce contradictory
readings, however. We seem to view them
from multiple positions simultaneously,
while often discovering, as we trace the
lines of the construction, that the object
they define could not exist in real space.
His orchestration of these effects sets the
constellations into a kind of perpetual
motion—and demands the constant
reassessment of what one really sees that
Albers so cherished."3

O título é adoptado da série de trabalhos
gráficos de Josef Albers Structural
Constellations. Iniciada por volta de 1950,
é constituída por composições geométricas
geradas a partir da ligação de vários pontos
por linhas rectas, um processo semelhante
à forma como o Homem imaginou as

Constellation pretendo apelar ao espírito
com que Josef Albers abordou, na obra
homónima, a exploração e reavaliação
constante daquilo que é a realidade.
