Me disseram: o tempo encara
me virei, e duvidei
não quis ver no epelho o retrato
se no sonho, nunca errei
mas um dia, olha o vento que arrasta
a certeza que fiei
quem nem sol sertanejo na mata
devastou e convenceu
E a vida se embaraçou
não vi mais o fio dela
o novelo se enrolou
nos meus pés de sentinela
Que o mar vira sertão vira mar, sei
pedi em vão: não seja eu
a escolhida a ser peixe-cangaço
a nadar fora da lei
e sempre com voce, fosse o destino,
até vestes costurei,
e pedia pro céu o enlace
do seu passo com o meu.
Mas dessa vez Deus me disse não
tinha que seguir sem vela
eu, jangada na imensidão
do meu mar de amor por ela
