LETTER OF INTENT
GainesviHe, March 27 2015.
The University of Florida Tropical Conservation Development Program, Center
Latin American Studies, affirms its intent to develop programs with Public
Ministry of the state of Acre, Brazil to advance our common interests in improving
the advance environmental conservation and socio-economic development in the
Brazilian Amazon.
The activities we will work to develop include:
1) A short course in conflict management for staff and technical advisors of
Public Ministry (goal: June 2015);
2) Exchange visits by Public Ministry professionals and University of Florida
students and staff;
3) A planning meeting to discuss the partnership and plan activities that witl
be the focus of a formal Institutional Partnership;
4) The establishment of formal Cooperative Agreement between our
respective institutions detailing activities.
We affirm our intent to complete these activities and formalize our agreement by
1 October2015.
