É com prazer que a Galeria São Mamede e a Galeria de Arte Vale do Lobo convidam V.
Exa. para a inauguração da próxima exposição de pintura de Ana Sério, intitulada
“Efémero Retorno”. A inauguração terá lugar na quinta-feira, dia 5 de Fevereiro
de 2015 pelas 17:00h, na Galeria de Arte, localizada no Vale do Lobo Shopping.
A ocasião será celebrada com um beberete. Esperamos dar-lhe as boas-vindas nesta ocasião.
It is with pleasure that Galeria São Mamede and Galeria de Arte Vale do Lobo invite you to the opening
of the forthcoming exhibition “Efémero Retorno” by Ana Sério. The opening will take place
on Thursday, 5th February 2015 at 17:00h at the Art Gallery, located in Vale do Lobo Shopping.
The occasion will be celebrated with a cocktail. We do hope to see you there.
A exposição “Efémero Retorno” por Ana Sério estará patente ao público de 5 de Fevereiro a 12 de Maio de 2015, de Segunda a Sexta,
das 09:00h às 18:00h. A entrada é livre. Esta exposição é organizada em colaboração com a Galeria São Mamede.
The “Efémero Retorno” exhibition by Ana Sério will be open to the public from the 5th February
until the 12th of May 2015 - Monday to Friday, from 09:00h to 18:00h. Entrance is free.
The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the São Mamede Gallery.
Ana sério nasceu em Oeiras em 1976. Licenciada em Artes Plásticas/Pintura, pela Faculdade de
Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, Ana Sério
possui um Mestrado em Pintura em 2002 pela
Norwich School of Art & Design, Inglaterra.
A artista expõe desde 2001, destacando-se em
2009 a exposição “De la expresión al contenido”, no IVAM (Institut Valencià d’Art Modern) em
Valência, Espanha. Ana Sério ganhou o “ Prémio
Artur Bual”, da III Feira de Arte Contemporânea do
Estoril e diversas menções honrosas ao longo da
sua carreira, designadamente no “ Prémio Fundação Marquês de Pombal”.
Esta nova exposição em Vale do Lobo, intitulada
“Efémero Retorno” é composta por cerca de 15
trabalhos sobre papel abstractos de cariz muito
gestual. No texto de apresentação do catálogo,
Luísa Soares de Oliveira refere-se “a um gesto original, no sentido que procura regressar á própria
génese da pintura, (…) um gesto que possui a gratuidade de um dom, e a utilidade da beleza!”

Ana Sério was born in 1976 in Oeiras and established
herself as an artist able to convey bold and dramatic
themes through her use of colour, lines and contrasts.
Ana Sério attended the Faculty of Fine Arts at the
University of Lisbon before furthering her artistic
education with a masters gained at Norwich
University College of Arts in England.
She has won a number of awards during her
career including the Artur Baul prize at the III fair of
contemporary art in Estoril and the Prémio de Pintura
João Barata 2000 from the galeria Barata in Lisbon.
Individual exhibitions from Ana Sério have been held
across Portugal to critical acclaim since 2001 while
she has also taken part in a number of collective
exhibitions with her distinctive pieces being shown in
Spain, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Portugal.
The “Efémero Retorno” exhibition consists of works on
paper with a distinctive abstract nature and the works
of Ana Sério have been described by Luisa Soares de
Oliveira as demonstrating a “unique gesture that has
the gratitude of a gift and the beauty of utility.”.
