1st DAY: FORTALEZA / JERICOACOARA
Transfer by LAND ROVER along the coastline of
Ceara Fortaleza/Jericoacoara.
Crossing Lagoinha, Flecheira, Baleia, with an 8 hours
Journey up to Jericoacoara.
(alternatively it is possible to directly reach
Jericoacoara).

Vila kalango
If Jericoacoara is a natural spectacle, Vila Kalango is
certainly the best place from which admire it. Opened 1999,
the pousada is placed inside a 5000m2 garden surrounded and
delimited by palms and cashews, located in the shelter of sea and
next to the dunes, from which it is possible to admire the most
beautiful sunset of the Brazilian North-East.
2nd DAY: JERICOACOARA
The construction is built and decored using typical materials of the
region, which flatter and add to it a typical rustic appearance. The

Praia do Preá, 10 km away from Jeri, by dune buggy.
The journey proceeds through a sand path up to
Lagoa Paraíso, having a stop in Lagoa Azul and the
possibility of having lunch on place. At 3 o’clock P.M.
return to Jericoacoara across the dunes.

Pousada Rancho do Peixe
Placed in Praia do Preá, 12 Km far from Jericoacoara Village
(reachable in just 15 minutes by buggy) in a 200.000 m2 palms
farm, with sand dunes and natural vegetation 700 m far from the
sea, it is the kitesurf and windsurf lovers paradise. The plan,
belonging to the architect Gui Mattos, follows a simple and rustic
style, without sacrificing comfort and modernity. Built with local
materials such as wood and straw, it creates a perfect fusion and
integration between guests and nature, whose respect is one of the
most important feature of the pousada.
It has been built since only 2 years and a half, Rancho do Peixe is
still one of the 150 best hotels in Brazil.
Rooms: 16 rooms in all; eight placed in the shelter of the sea, with
a beautiful view of Praia do Preá, eight placed in the garden,
surrounded by palms with view on the see. Both the bungalow
types cover 80 m2 and can accomodate 4 persons.
Facilities: Table, verandah, hammock, double bed, two single beds,
minibar, fan and Brazilian restaurant.
3rd DAY: JERICOACOARA / PARNAÍBA
Breakfast in the hotel. Move by LAND ROVER across
a 51 Km sand path up to Camocim city, to which
follow 130 Km of surfaced road up to Parnaíba city.
Then on board of a light motor-boat (voadeira), for a
visit to the Rio Parnaíba, the only opened sea delta of
America, and one of the only 3 in the world.
Five hours walk with the possibility of having lunch in
Ilha das Canárias.
Here can be observed a countless variety of animals
and birds, among which the red ibis, a wading bird
native from the delta.

Pousada dos Ventos
Rooms: three kinds of rooms, standard, luxury, superluxury.

Parnaíba.
4th DAY:
PARNAÍBA / CABURE’
Rooms: 70 rooms and 4 suites, 3 kinds of rooms, standard, luxury,
super luxury.
Facilities: air conditioner, tv, minibar, pool, restaurant, bar, private
car park, conference room.
Breakfast in the hotel. Move by LAND ROVER
to Caburè with a trail of 130 Km surfaced road
up to Tutoria city. Other 35 Km of ungrounded road
follow up to the Paulino Neves city, the small Lençóis
oasis.
Then the journey carries on with other 5 Km of
walkway up to the sea.
25 Km of coastline will be travelled up to Caburè
beach.
HOTELS IN CABURE’
Pousada Porto do Buriti
Rooms: 10 chalès, single or double rooms
or
Facilities: private toilette, electric power from generator which stops
at 10 pm.
PARNAÍBA / ATINS
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure at 9 o’ clock
to Vila do Atins for a 2 hours walk which will finish at
Vila do Canto do Atins, in order to appreciate the
excellent shrimps dish of Luzia.
At 4 o’clock P.M. return to Caburé.
5th DAY: CABURE’ OR ATINS / BARREIRINHAS /
SÃO LUIS
Breakfast in the hotel. Move by in motor-boat
toward Rio Preguiça, with a stop in Mandacaru in
order to admire the Rio Preguiça lighthouse; then a
stop in the small Lençóis dunes (Dunas de Vassouras).
Arrival in Barreirinhas, which is the Lençóis entrance
gate. Trip to Big Lençois National Park, visiting dunes
and lagoons until 16 pm.
Trip to São Luis with stop at the Pousada Portas da
Amazônia.
6th DAY: SÃO LUIS
Guided visit of the city of São Luis, admiring its
houses’ colonial, wonderful style and its astonishing
nature.
