Summer Party celebrations!

here was a distinctly Latin feel
to Vale do Lobo in August with
the return of the highly anticipated
annual Vale do Lobo Summer Party!
Hundreds of property owners and
invited guests marked the summer
season in style with the summer party which took place on 9th August.
The Parque do Golfe was transformed with decorations, lighting and
an iconic Classic Buick took centre
stage to recreate a Latin inspired
atmosphere around the lakes and
gardens.
Guests were met by a Mariachi
band and then led along the red
carpet and into the beautiful gardens where they were then treated
to some live music from an authentic Cuban band, followed by a magical firework display and then a
DJ performance which saw guests
dancing into the night.
The eagerly anticipated event was
a chance for the resort commu-
nity to mingle under the stars in
a stylish setting synonymous with
Vale do Lobo and to enjoy a fantastic reception.
The party was also an opportunity
for Vale do Lobo CEO Diogo Gaspar
Ferreira to thank the property owners for their unwavering support
in creating a luxury resort unlike
any other.

uma noite de celebração à estação mais “caliente” do ano, a
essência da expressão latina e seus
contagiantes ritmos inspiraram a tão
aguardada Festa de Verão de Vale do
Lobo!
Proprietários e alguns convidados especiais do resort marcaram presença
nesta requintada festa exclusiva que
decorreu no dia 9 de Agosto nos emblemáticos jardins do Parque do Golfe.
A decoração em tons quentes converteu o espaço num requintado ambiente Cubano, em que a iluminação
e mesmo um icónico Buick clássico
à entrada do evento criaram um ambiente intimista onde a música embalou cada um dos convidados numa
noite de sonho.
Após uma curta viagem num dos reluzentes trikes até à área da festa, dois
Mariachis aguardavam os convidados
junto ao tapete vermelho que conduzia ao Buick sobre o lago revelando
o deslumbrante cenário do evento.
Uma selecção musical pela banda
Cubana Mambocumbia seguida do
espectáculo de pirotecnia daria então
lugar aos ritmos de dança pelo DJ Carlos Campos pela noite dentro.

Art Exhibition

isit the Vale do Lobo Art Gallery to view an inspiring new
collection of art from Portuguese
artist Gervásio.
A series of bold and vibrant modern art paintings by Carlos Gervásio have been brought to the
gallery as a result of a partnership
between the prestigious São Mamede Gallery and Vale do Lobo and
offer visitors the chance to experience contemporary Portuguese
art first hand.
The exhibition will be opening to
the public on September 2nd with
cocktails to celebrate the event
from 17:30h.
The paintings from Carlos Gervásio will be on display at the gallery located at the Parque do Golfe
until 3rd November. The gallery is
open Monday – Friday from 10.00h
– 19.00h. Admission is free.

POA AGM and
International Evening
M
embers of the Property Owners Association (POA) will
be holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 9th October
from 15:00h in the Vale do Lobo
Auditorium.
The AGM is an opportunity for POA
members to catch up with what has
been going on at the resort while
also enabling members to share
their views and suggestions.
Every year there is a very high turn
out to the AGM which shows the
continued level of dedication of
property owners who are always
working to maintain the high standards of the resort. For new members this is a fantastic opportunity
to meet with the wider Vale do
Lobo community and to discover
more about the resort as a whole.
Full details of the POA AGM agenda
will be sent to members before the
event.
After the AGM there will once
again be the annual International
Evening held at Spikes from 19:30h.
Guests will be able to enjoy a selection of dishes representing an
international theme.

fter a long and lazy summer it is
time to get back into the swing
of things. It is easy to get out of the
habit of exercising, especially if you
have been away on holiday or taking
a break from work but there is no
need to fear a return to the gym!

into shape and back to the gym:
Start slow – Take it slowly when you
return. If you have been away from
exercising regularly for some time
then you need to ease into a progressive programme to prevent injury or strain.
Make the first step – Take a leaf out
of Woody Allens book when he said
“Half of life is showing up”. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is just
motivate yourself to get to the gym
but once you are there you have already taken your first step back to
fitness.
Get support – Share the burden and
recruit a friend to work out with
you. You will find that their moti-
vation will help you to get back into
a routine.

Captains Day and Club Championships

regresso do popular torneio Vale do
Lobo Club Championship no dia 19 de
Setembro no Royal Golf Course.
A tradicional competição Captains
Drive-in reúne anualmente os membros do Clube de Golfe partilhando
com a comunidade do resort, entusiasta desta modalidade, grandes
momentos de convívio, competitividade e descontracção. A competição
decorrerá no Royal Golf Course em
equipas de pares, betterball, stablefored e 90% handicap.
Após o torneio de golfe, terá lugar um
jantar com cerimónia de entrega de
prémios no restaurante Spikes pelas
19:00h, com um menu de três pratos
com bebidas e música ao vivo por
€50,00 por pessoa. Participe!
Por sua vez, o Club Championship
decorre em formato Singles Stableford com prémios para o primeiro,
segundo e terceiro qualificados, conjugando a competição, a diversão e
excelentes momentos de golfe.

and the Club Championship taking place the following week on 19th

The popular Captains Day competition draws many members every
year and sees the entire golfing
community of Vale do Lobo come
together to enjoy some challenging
golf with resort friends and neighbours. The competition will be held
on the Royal Golf Course and the
format will be in pairs teams, betterball, stableford, 90% handicap.
After the golf there will be a dinner
in Spikes from 19:00h with prize
giving and drinks accompanied by
a three course meal and live music
at a cost of €50,00 per person.
The Club Championship is a Singles
Stableford competition with prizes
for first, second and third places
and is an event that not only draws
on a fun and competitive spirit of
the competitors but also usually
produces some exceptional play.
