Julho a 17 de Setembro em Vila Nova de
Cerveira e nas Cidades do Porto e Vigo.
O programa aqui descrito foi concebido para lhe oferecer a oportunidade de
conhecer novas tendências da arte contemporânea e participar num conjunto
de actividades complementares, desde
workshops e ateliers, conferências e debates, concertos e muito mais…

Cerveira and in the cities of Porto and Vigo.
The program herein described was conceived
to offer the opportunity to get to know
new contemporaneous art tendencies and
to participate in a set of complementary
activities such as workshops and ateliers,
conferences and debates, concerts and a lot
more…
This program can be consulted by Places,
Activities and Agenda, with a summary
which can be useful while planning your visit
to the 16th Biennial of Cerveira.
The responsibility brought about by our
history, more than 30 years old, makes
us being more and more exigent with the
program, aspiring for a better publication

“Fotografia é uma palavra que
deriva do grego, Photographia.
Traduzida literalmente, significa “escrita de luz”, mas, para alguns especialistas, ela também é explicada como “poesia
da imagem”. Em Luzescrita, estas duas idéias se encontram e
se expandem a partir do encontro entre os artistas Arnaldo Antunes, Fernando Laszlo e Walter Silveira.
Nesse recorte especialmente
desenvolvido para a Bienal de
Cerveira, são apresentadas 14,
das mais de 30 de obras criadas por eles a partir de experiências feitas com luz e poesia
desde 2002.”
“Photography is a Word which
has origin in the Greek word,
Photographia. Literally translated,
it means «writing of light», but, for
some specialists, it can also be
explained as “poetry of the image”.
In Luzescrita, these two ideas meet
and spread from the meeting of the
artists Arnaldo Antunes, Fernando
Laszlo and Walter Silveira.
Since 2002, they have created
over 30 works from experiences
made with light and poetry. In this
segment especially produced for
Cerveira’s Biennial event, 14 of
those works are presented.”

Box/Caixa de sapatos flutuante” é o mais recente desenvolvimento das minhas obras relacionadas com a ilusão e a gravidade. Comecei a trabalhar este tema quando ainda era uma estudante
em escolas de arte em Inglaterra, em 1975. (…)
Esta nova forma arquitectural é minimal e funcional. É como flutuar num grande quarto, mas só é

a student in art schools in England, back to 1975. (…)

“O projecto Galeria Pública para Artes Digitais
teve o seu início em 2005 durante a XIII Bienal de
Cerveira. Inicialmente este projecto artístico teve
como propósito o intercâmbio de artistas e obras
artísticas através da sua participação à distância. Mais tarde e ao longo de 2008, a sua intervenção alargou-se às participações de artistas que
recorrem simultaneamente ao espaço real e ao
espaço virtual na produção das suas obras. Nesta
segunda fase o domínio ao recurso da virtualidade foi intensificado através de contactos com artistas com obras realizadas através da plataforma do SecondLife.”
“The project Public Gallery for Digital Arts started in
2005, during the XIII Biennial of Cerveira. At first, this
artistic project aimed at the interchange between
artists and artistic works through their participation at
a distance. Later, and during 2008, its intervention was
widened so as to welcome the participation of artists
that simultaneously resort to the real and the virtual
space in the production of their works. In this second
stage, the use of the virtual domain was intensified by
contacting artists with works created on the Second
Life platform. “

o desafio a um colectivo de performers para se confrontarem,
pela primeira vez, com uma pesquisa sobre as suas manifestações populares. Através de uma
pesquisa documentada, será
