Sustainability
As you may know, Ideia Tours is working hard to achieve the certificate of Travelife, a non-profit
organization established to help tourism suppliers implement such sustainability policy. Many
changes have been done as reducing water, energy and paper, recycling the waste that we
produce and using bio-degradable cleaning agents. In addition we aim to offer hotels and
lodges that adhere to sustainability practices more visibility, and re-think some of our
excursions: to promote, for instance, walking and biking tours which do not have a negative
impact on the environment. To summarize this, we have created a Green List with hotels and
lodges that develop a sustainability project and also the tours with an environmental focus
either from the location visited or by using forms of transport that reduce Carbon Emissions.
