BEFORE you start to use it. Keep these instructions in a safe place, and download
more copies as required from www.rompa.com to ensure that everyone using this
equipment is aware of these instructions.
IMPORTANT: please check equipment immediately for any damage/loss that may have
occurred during transit.

Air Mat
You will require: an inflator/air pump/vacuum cleaner with blowing capabilities
INFLATION
1. Pull out the cap and valve if they were pushed in during transit.

2. Remove the cap and plug.
3. Inflate the Air mat using an appropriate inflator/pump or a vacuum cleaner with
blowing capabilities. If using a vacuum cleaner, make sure the hose is clean inflate outside to make sure no dirt etc is blown inside the Air Mat. Inflate till desired
firmness is achieved (allow some give but slightly over-inflate to allow for some loss
of air as the plug is put in – the plug has to be in as quickly as you can, holding with
your finger and starting the cap on straight). Vary the amount of air in the mat to
increase or decrease the mat’s stability. Do not pressurise the unit. Make sure the
cap is tight. Then turn an 1/8 of a turn more. If the threads feel immediately tight,
stop, unscrew the cap completely and restart.
4. When inflated, push the internal cap and valve back into the recess in the mat. Add
water to the recess to check for leaks.
USE
Allow a clear distance of 1.8m (6 ft) from walls and other obstacles.
Use in an appropriate room – avoid low ceilings etc. The client should be able to
bounce safely without risk of hitting walls, ceilings, obstacles, light fittings etc
Use wall and floor cushions of an appropriate thickness
Working load for Dolphin: 45.5kg (100 lbs) – do not exceed this limit
Working load for Walrus and Seal: 68kg (150 lbs) – do not exceed this limit

Use away from sharp and pointed objects.
Remove shoes before use and make sure there are no sharp objects on clothing.
Do not fill the Air mat with water.
Do not jump onto the Air Mat from a higher surface e.g. from a ladder or table.
Check the Air Mat is properly inflated before each use.
These are not to be used as floatation devices/swimming aids.
Use on mats of an appropriate thickness. Check the mats are clean and that there are
no puncture hazards on them.
MAINTENANCE CHECK LIST
All of the following wear points should be checked on a monthly basis and recorded on
the checklist attached.
• Seams and valves – look for obvious leaks. Repair or replace as necessary.
STORAGE
Store in a safe place out of reach so as to avoid unwanted access by clients.
Store out of direct sunlight.
Keep away from chemicals and household cleaning products.
Keep away from sources of extreme heat
IMPORTANT: KEEP ALL PARTS TOGETHER
CLEANING
Clean with a soft, slightly damp clean cloth and a mild soap or disinfectant solution.
Ensure product is completely dry before using again – allow to air-dry naturally.
SAFETY
Always supervise the use of this product
For indoor use only, in dry environments.
Take great care to ensure that Southpaw products are appropriate to the client and
used appropriately in a safe environment.
This is not a toy.
Use all appropriate safety precautions e.g. mats of an appropriate thickness, helmets
Check your suspension system regularly
Do not over-inflate – the Air Mat is not made of an elastic material – it loses air like a
balloon. Over-inflation will cause premature wear.
Should the Air mat be punctured, it could break suddenly – make sure the mats used
underneath will cushion the client in the event of a sudden fall. Do not use on hard
floors without cushioning.

É necessário: uma bomba para encher o colchão
ENCHIMENTO
1. Puxe a tampa e válvula caso esteja para baixo.

2. Remova a tampa e tampão
3. Encha o colchão de ar usando uma bomba apropriada ou um aspirador com
capacidade de sopro. Se utilizar um aspirador, verifique se o tubo está limpo – encha
no exterior para garantir que nenhuma sujidade é soprada para dentro do colchão de
ar. Encha até atingir a firmeza desejada (deixe alguma folga mas pode encher um
pouco mais pois vai perder algum ar quando desligar a bomba – deve introduzir o
tampão o mais rápido possível, segurando co0m os dedos e encaixando a tampa).
Varie a quantidade de ar no colchão para aumentar ou diminuir a estabilidade do
colchão. Não pressurize o colchão. Verifique se a tampa está bem apertada. Depois
aperte mais 1/8 de volta. Se a rosca parecer imediatamente solta, pare, desaperte
completamente e comece de novo.
4. Quando está cheio, empurre a válvula para dentro do colchão. Ponha água em cima
da válvula para ver se existem fugas.

UTILIZAÇÃO
Deixe uma distância de 1.8m da parede e outros obstáculos.
Utilize numa sala apropriada – evite tetos baixos, etc. O cliente deve conseguir
ressaltar em segurança sem o risco de embater nas paredes, tetos, obstáculos,
candeeiros, etc.
Utilize colchões de parede e de chão com uma espessura apropriada.
Carga de trabalho para o golfinho: 45.5kg – não exceda este limite.
Carga de trabalho para a morsa e foca: 68kg – não exceda este limite
Utilize longe de objetos afiados e pontiagudos.
Tire os sapatos antes de utilizar e verifique se existem objetos cortantes nas roupas.
Não encha com água.
Não salte para cima do colchão a partir de uma superfície elevada, ex: escada ou
mesa.
Verifique se o colchão está devidamente cheio antes de cada utilização.
Não deve utilizar estes colchões como objetos flutuadores.
Utilize colchões de espessura apropriada. Verifique se os colchões estão limpos e se
estes estão limpos e se não existem furos.
LISTA DE MANUTENÇÃO
Todos os pontos que se seguem devem ser verificados mensalmente, mantendo um
registo na lista anexa.
• Costuras e válvulas – procure fugas obvias. Repare ou substitua conforme
necessário.
ARMAZENAMENTO
Guarde num local seguro fora de alcance para evitar acesos indesejados dos clientes.
Guarde afastado de luz solar direta.
Mantenha afastado de químicos e detergentes de limpeza domésticos.
Mantenha afastado de fontes de calor extremo.
IMPORTANTE: MANTENHA TODAS AS PEÇAS JUNTAS
LIMPEZA
Limpe com um pano macio e húmido com um detergente macio ou com uma solução
desinfetante. Verifique se o produto está completamente seco antes de voltar a utilizar
– deixe secar naturalmente.
SEGURANÇA
Supervisione sempre a utilização deste produto
Utilize apenas no interior, em ambientes secos.
Tenha muito cuidado para garantir que os produtos Southpaw são apropriados para o
cliente e são usados de forma apropriada em ambientes seguros.
Este produto não é um brinquedo.
Utilize todas as precauções de segurança, ex: colchões de uma espessura apropriada,
capacetes.
Não encha demasiado – o colchão não é feito de material elástico – perde ar como um
balão. Se encher demasiado vai diminuir a vida útil deste produto.

Caso fure o colchão de ar, este pode esvaziar repentinamente – verifique se os
colchões que tem no chão amortecem o cliente no caso de ocorrer uma queda
repentina.
Não utilize em chão duro sem colchões.
