1. ROLL CALL OF VOTING MEMBERS AND DETERMINATION OF QUORUM
Roll call of those present was taken by James Dickman. It was determined that a quorum was
present.
2. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA OF JANUARY 21, 2015 MEETING
The motion was made by Charlie Daniell, and seconded by Fernando Santana, to approve the
agenda of the January 21, 2015 meeting. The vote was as follows:
Yes- Geri Cunningham, Charlie Daniell, Mario Salinas, James Dickman, Fernando Santana
No- None
Absent- Paul Hill, Joe Epstein
The motion carried.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 19, 2014 REGULAR MEETING
The motion was made by Fernando Santana and seconded by Mario Salinas to approve the
minutes of the November 19, 2014 meeting. The vote was as follows:
Yes- Geri Cunningham, Charlie Daniell, Mario Salinas, James Dickman, Fernando Santana
No- None
Absent- Paul Hill, Joe Epstein
The motion carried.
4. Veterans Park Activity
Luis Renteria said the concrete for the Dummy Bomb Components has not been done, but said
he will get with the Construction Department to find out when they will be starting it.
Luis Renteria said the Parks Department is hoping to start back up on the installation of the
fence, hopefully the first of February.
Luis said the Electrical Department has not had time to do the electrical for the solar lighting for
the Duster Project, he said he is hoping they will also be done in February.
Veterans Memorial Advisory Board
Luis said the Soil and Water Conservation have replaced the damaged trees. He told the
committees members to go out and take a look at them, he also said the irrigation has been
installed for watering the trees, and told the member that they will need to figure out a schedule
for watering them.
Jim Dickman said he does not have any update on the American Legion Post 7, because he
did not talk to Joe Epstein.
Jim said he would like to bring up the possibility of putting a sign up North and South on
Greene and Canal St. mentioning the Veterans Memorial Park.
5. FINANCIAL STATUS:
Luis Renteria said he will bring the City Budget balance to the next month meeting. And Joe
Epstein will present the financial status from the Carlsbad Foundation.

No information given.
7. NEXT MEETING
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 4:30 pm at the American
Legion Bryan Mudgett I T.J. Trevino Post No.7, located at 2311 Legion Avenue.
