Included in the statistics was an overview of the 2006 though 2010. Helena noted that there were increases in the number of activations due to increase coordination and the addition of 595 Express. 511/FLATIS Joe Snyder stated that there was a change to the 511 website. The URL was change from dynamic to static. This caused problems for the District VI 511 Watcher forcing District VI to do their checks manually. It also caused problem publishing to 511; District VI was unable to publish updates. Alex Mirones stated that events in the south end of the Florida’s Turnpike were unable to be published. The problems have now been resolved. Joe Snyder also stated that the 511 Working Group discussed overlapping travel times. The working group does not want overlapping travel time but rather point to point. It does not seem to be a problem among the SERFTOC partners with cross county travel times. Regional ITS Device Map Alex Motta stated that the recommended changes were made to the maps; District I devices have been added, detail map of Broward devices, CCTV directional designation, provided different colors for arterial devices. MDX will provide ITS devices information to be added to the map. Javier recommended that the maps be updated on an annual basis to make them current. Submitted by: Miami-Dade Expressway TMC 1 of 3 Florida’s Turnpike AET Transition Alex Mirones discussed the implementation of All Electronic Tolls (AET) on the lower 47 exits of the Turnpike on Feb 19th. The contractors are on an accelerated scheduled to complete the work. This would include closing the SB exit ramp to EB SW 8 St. for 10 days and the demolition of the tolls at Miramar. The Turnpike is in the process of setting out portable HAR’s along the Turnpike advising motorist of the change. Also coordinating with MDX to place portable HAR’s along the MDX roadway system. Planned Events Calendar Bob Murphy discussed the creation of a planned events calendar for TIM team members for events that cover Palm Beach, Broward and the Treasure Coast. It would also include events that may affect the Broward and Miami county lines. The calendar would provide a view of upcoming events to provide better coordination among agencies. Partner Updates District IV TMC Due to fog, there have been several closures of US-27. The fog closures information is provided by FHP and DBI closes the ramp. Silver Alerts: Bob Murphy discussed that in the future there may be a change to the protocol for Silver Alerts. Currently, Silver Alerts requires an executive order from the Governor’s office with a 6 hour limit. The current system may be burdensome and adjustments are being suggested to change the system District VI TMC Five RISC events in the last five weeks. Coordinated with District IV to provide messaging for the closures NAVTEC: Javier Rodriquez discussed a basic agreement that establishes a protocol that provides real time traffic communication via phone/text messages between the TMC’s and NAVTEC SunGuide Issues: Javier Rodriquez recommended that as a group SERFTOC provide request to CMB regarding issues with SunGuide. As a group, it may show that several TMC’s are experiencing problems versus only one TMC having SunGuide issues. Additionally, Javier will provide to the partners the District VI review and validation of the latest Quarterly Incident Duration Report. The partners will review and make comments for the next meeting Submitted by: Miami-Dade Expressway TMC 2 of 3 Action Items No. ITEMS RESPONSIBLE PARTY DUE DATE 1 DMS and Floodgate message Template Library Dee McTague and SERFTOC Partners 2/16/2011 2 SEFRTOC Statistics Charles Robbins 2/16/2011 3 4 Turnpike CCTV SunGuide Issues Alex Mirones SEFRTOC Partners 2/16/2011 2/16/2011 COMMENTS Partners will submit DMS and floodgate templates to Dee for review and collection recommend changes to current SEFRTOC stats Provide access of Turnpike CCTV to D6 SunGuide issues will be a standing issue for SERFTOC meetings Next Meeting-Date, Time and Place 02/16/2011 – 930am – 11am @ PB SunGuide TMC 03/16/2011 – 930am – 11am @ District VI SunGuide TMC 04/20/2011 – 930am – 11am @ District IV SunGuide TMC 05/18/2011 – 930am – 11am @ Florida’s Turnpike TMC 06/15/2011 – 930am – 11am @ PB SunGuide TMC Submitted by: Miami-Dade Expressway TMC 3 of 3
