Equal
Opportunity
Training
Provision of training to
management level
personnel as to methods
of ensuring equal
employment opportunity
and preventing
discrimination
Management-level staff participated in group training centered around the
“Toxic Behavior at Work: Strategies to Reduce Dysfunction, Defuse Venom,
and Improve Workplace Morale” webinar made available for purchase from
the Center for Competitive Management (C4CM). The webinar itself focused
on recognizing bullying behavior in the workplace and how to address it. The
group discussion focused on how those perceived to be “other” may be the
targets of negative talk and exclusive behavior less explicit than bullying. Prosocial behavior is needed to foster diversity in the workplace, and diversity in
the workplace supports organizational success. The tenets of equal
employment opportunity and non-discrimination were interwoven throughout
this training.
