Dear Families of Fashion Industries,
As members of the Executive Board of the Parents Association of the High School of Fashion Industries,
we welcome all of you to the 2009-2010 academic year. We have several meetings planned that we
hope you will be able to attend. We understand that responsibilities related to household and work may
prevent you from attending these meetings. We also know that the High School of Fashion Industries is a
commuter school which makes the traveling to our meetings difficult. However, we need your support in
order to continue to better serve all our children. All parents/guardians of our students have automatic
membership which means that you have an open invitation to attend the PA meetings and events. There
is no membership fee.
Unfortunately, due to an increase in school expenditures, we may be forced to discontinue our afterschool programs and student projects if we can not raise funds to cover the expenses. These
extracurricular activities have helped our students to develop future their interest in things beneficial to
intellectual growth and social skills. In addition, it enhances their abilities to make major decisions that
may be required in the future.
In order to continue to offer these great programs to our students, we are asking for a voluntary
donation from each Fashion family in order to build our Parents’ Association Fund. This Fund will be
used exclusively to support student/extracurricular programs and parent activities. It is preferred that you
make your donation in the form of a check or money order for recordkeeping purposes. The High
School of Fashion Industries is a tax exempt public institution. All donations you make to the Parents’
Association are fully tax deductible. Please use the bottom portion of this letter to attach to your donation.

Familiares estimados de Fashion Industries,
Como miembros de la Junta Ejecutiva de la Asociación de padres de la escuela Fashion Industries,
acogemos con todos ustedes que el año académico de 2009-2010. Tenemos varias reuniones previstas
que esperamos que usted va a poder asistir. Entendemos que responsabilidades relacionadas con la
familia y trabajo puede impedirle que asisten a estas reuniones. También sabemos que la escuela
Fashion Industries es una escuela de cercanías que hace el viajar a nuestras reuniones difíciles. Sin
embargo, necesitamos su apoyo para poder continuar servir mejor a todos nuestros niños. Todos los
padres/tutores de nuestros estudiantes han pertenencia automática que significa que tiene una invitación
para asistir a la PA reuniones y eventos. No hay cuota de afiliación.
Lamentablemente, debido a un aumento en los gastos de escuela, nos podemos obligados a interrumpir
nuestros programas extraescolares y proyectos de estudiante si nosotros no podemos recaudar fondos
para cubrir los gastos. Estas actividades extracurriculares han ayudado a nuestros estudiantes para
desarrollar futuras su interés en cosas beneficiosas para intelectual crecimiento y habilidades sociales.
Además, mejora sus habilidades para tomar decisiones importantes que pueden ser necesarias en el
futuro.
Para poder seguir ofreciendo estos programas grandes a nuestros estudiantes, estamos pidiendo una
donación voluntaria de cada familia de Fashion Industries a fin de crear Fondo de la Asociación de ’
nuestros padres. Este fondo se utilizará exclusivamente para apoyar programas de estudiantes/padres y
las actividades. Es preferible hacer su donación en forma de un cheque o giro postal a fines de
recordkeeping. La escuela Fashion Industries es una institución pública de exento de impuestos. Todas
las donaciones que realice en asociación de los padres son completamente deducibles de impuestos.
