Please consider taking the time to give blood next
Saturday to help save a life and honor the memory of
Bob Youngs. Bob Youngs contributed
years of service to our community
through blood donation and coordinating
the blood drives here at Holy Family. Up
until he passed away, Bob had personally given 48 units of blood in his lifetime, saving up to 144 people. Let’s set
a record for Bob by donating 30 units of blood from
Holy Family Parish. The blood drive will be open from
10am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm in the Tice Hall on
Saturday, December 28th. You can just show up, or if
you are on a tight schedule, you can make an appointment for a specific time by contracting Steve

A message from Fr. Horacio — Mensaje del Padre Horacio
The Greatest Gift
El Mejor Regalo
In these weeks leading up to Christmas, we
are perhaps very busy thinking about gifts
and things that we believe will make the people in our family extremely happy. That in
itself is good, but all these gifts with all the
good things they represent, are nothing more
than a symbol of a much broader reality: the
immense gift, the treasure of incalculable
value and what can fill us with true, profound, and lasting happiness is the enormous
glory to which we are called and destined by
God. In today’s readings, and especially in
the one from Romans, this glorious destiny is
made known to us: we are called to be children of God, holy and immaculate in front of
Him through love. What does this
mean? That we are called to live with enormous dignity; that we are given the gift of
God’s strong and constant presence and that
is our strength to live in this world with
peace, joy, and happiness, in spite of all the
sorrows, pains and difficulties of life. We are
children of a great king. We are called to
glory. All the gifts we give are signs of this
joy. External signs: not a profound reality.
En estas semanas anteriores a la Navidad,
quizá estamos muy ocupados pensando en
regalos y en cosas que creemos que harán
muy felices a las personas de nuestra familia. Eso en si es bueno; pero todos esos regalos, con todo lo bueno que representan, no
son más que un símbolos de una realidad mucho más amplia: el inmenso regalo, el tesoro
de incalculable valor y lo que nos puede llenar de una felicidad verdadera, profunda y
duradera es la enorme gloria a la que estamos
llamado y destinados por Dios. En las lecturas de hoy, y especialmente en la de Romanos, se nos da a conocer ese destino gloriosos: estamos llamados a ser hijos de dios,
santos e inmaculados ente El por el
amor. ¿Qué significa esto? Que se nos llama
a vivir con una enorme dignidad; que se nos
dado el regalo de la presencia fuere y constante de Dios con nosotros y que eso es nuestra fuerza para vivir en este mundo con paz,
alegría y felicidad: a pasar de todos los pesares, los dolores y los dificultades de la vida. Somos hijos de un gran rey. Estamos llamados a la gloria. Todos los regalos que
hacemos son signos de esta alegría. Signos
externos: no realidad profunda.

PUGET SOUND
Por favor considerar tomar el tiempo para donar sangre el próximo sábado para ayudar a salvar una vida
y honrar la memoria de Bob Youngs.
Bob Young contribuyó años de servicio
a nuestra comunidad a través de la
donación de sangre y la coordinación
de las unidades de sangre aquí en La
Sagrada Familia. Hasta su fallecimiento, Bob había personalmente dado 48
unidades de sangre durante su vida,
salvando las vidas de 144 personas.
Nos gustaría establecer un récord especial con la
donación de 30 unidades de sangre de la Parroquia
de la Sagrada Familia. La donación de sangre estará
abierto de 10am a 12pm y 1pm-4pm en el salón del
primer piso de la escuela, el sábado 28 de diciembre.
Solamente necesitan llegar durante las horas indicadas, o si usted está en un horario apretado, puede
