a few days spent hiking and exploring,
Salvador will let you lift your feet up and take a breath, enjoying the cities beautiful
colonial and baroque architecture, delicious local food and basking in the Bahian slowpaced way of life.
A journey across Bahian hinterlands, sugarcane plantations, peaceful Colonial towns and
busy country markets will take you westwards until you arrive in Cachoeira, nestled deep in
the valley of the Paraguaçu River, the jewel of the Bahian hinterland. Spending the day and
night here will have you journeying back in time to the Brazil of yesterday before concluding
your holiday in beach paradise on the island of Boipeba.

Favela.

Day at leisure. Samba at ‘Carioca da Gema’ in
Lapa.
Day 5 - Canto dos Aguas, Lençois
Transfer to the airport for flight to Chapada
Diamantina.
Transfer for your flight to Salvador and then to
hotel in the Old Town.
Day 10 - Villa Bahia Hotel, Salvador
Explore the city of Salvador and its main
cathedral and churches.
Day 11 - Villa Bahia Hotel, Salvador
An introduction to Capoeira and the AfroBrazilian religion of Candomblé.
Day 12 - Pousada do Convento, Cachoeira
Explore the Bahian Hinterland. Tour and
overnight stay of Cachoeira.

Transfer from hotel to Boipeba by ferry.
