Log-In restructures restructures restructures the São Paulo São
LogLog-In restructures the São Paulo routes to the CenterCenter-West and Bahia Rio de Janeiro, May 4, 2010 - Log-In - Logística Intermodal S/A (Log-In) (BM&FBovespa: LOGN3) announces that, as of this month of May, it has reformatted its services for the São Paulo routes to the Center-West and Bahia. Within this new service format, all the railroad capacity offered by Log-In will be concentrated to support the demand originated between the state of São Paulo and the Center-West region of Brazil (so called Centro-Oeste). Therefore, there will be an increase in the transportation capacity with origin or destination at the Porto Seco do Cerrado, located in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais State, and at the Porto Seco do Centro-Oeste, located in Anápolis, Goiás State. The São Paulo - Bahia route will be attended through a Coastal Shipping service, in substitution to the railroad service. Log-In will employ a dedicated vessel, with stops every 10 days, which together with the regular stops of Atlântico Sul service will offer to the market seven monthly departures northbound and other seven monthly departures southbound. This new service configuration will allow Log-In to offer its clients higher frequency, greater capacity, better quality service and reduced door-to-door lead time – from 15 to 8 days. One of Log-In´s vessels with nominal capacity of 1,254 TEUs will be allocated to this new Cabotage service, running between the ports of Santos, São Paulo State, and Salvador, Bahia State, with the support of the intermodal terminals of Camaçari (TERCAM) and Paulínia, as soon as the investments earmarked for this terminal are concluded. This new service configuration reiterates Log-In´s mission to develop and implement innovative logistics solutions based at intermodal transportation, besides more economic, efficient and sustainable alternatives of cargo transportation to its clients.
