A Galeria 3+1 ARTE CONTEMPORÂNEA lança o desafio a artistas emergentes nacionais e internacionais
não representados em galerias portuguesas a apresentarem os seus portfolios a fim de serem
seleccionados para uma exposição colectiva a acontecer no espaço da galeria no Verão de 2011.
Gallery 3+1 invites emerging national and international artists not represented by Portuguese galleries,
to present their portfolios in order to be selected for a group show, to take place at the gallery during
the summer of 2011.
Objectivo Goals

Summer Calling pretende actuar no panorama artístico nacional como uma incubadora criativa e uma
plataforma de divulgação, através da qual jovens artistas poderão mostrar o seu potencial num contexto
profissional.
Summer Calling aims to act as a creative incubator and a promotional platform where emerging artists
are given the opportunity to show their potential in a professional context.

A apresentação das obras seleccionadas decorrerá de 17 de Junho a 17 de Setembro de 2011 (mês de
Agosto encerrado para férias).

A exposição terá lugar no espaço da Galeria 3+1.
As obras seleccionadas devem ser entregues na galeria entre os dias 01 e 10 de Junho de 2011.
As obras deverão ser entregues prontas a expor, incluindo materiais e instruções de montagem específicas
caso necessário.
O transporte das obras (entrega e recolha) é da responsabilidade dos artistas.
A disposição das obras no espaço da galeria será decidida pelo júri.
Todos os trabalhos em exposição devem estar disponíveis para venda.
The selected works will be exhibited from June 17th to September 17th 2010 (closing for vacations in
August).
The exhibition will take place at Gallery 3+1.
The works should be delivered at the gallery between the 1st and the 10th of June 2010.
Works should be delivered ready to be exhibited, including all specific materials and instructions (if
required) for installation.
Transportation of the works to and from the gallery is the responsibility of the artist(s).
The display of the works at the exhibition will be decided by the jury.
All works should be available for sale.

Patricia Delayti Telles ( Rio de Janeiro, 1966)
Coleccionadora, galerista e curadora. Vive e trabalha entre Lisboa e Évora (Portugal).
Presentemente a frequentar o Doutoramento em História da Arte pela Universidade de Évora, é Mestre
em Gestão de Arte (MA in Arts Administration), pela Columbia University, New York, USA, 1993-1997.
Entre 1988- 1992 fez uma Especialização em História da Arte e Arquitectura no Brasil, na Pontifícia
Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, e de 1989 a1990 uma Especialização em “Fine and
Decorative Arts” pela Christie’s Education em colaboração com a Royal Society of Arts, Londres,
Inglaterra.
Durante vários anos Patrícia Telles foi proprietária da livraria e galeria de arte Beco das Virtudes, no
Rio de Janeiro, especializada em livros de arte e arte contemporânea brasileira.
Em 2004 foi Gerente de Projectos do Instituto Cultural Banco Santos (ICBS), em São Paulo, com a

coordenação do Núcleo de Artes Visuais.
Entre 1998 e 2000 foi sócia e directora da Nova Galeria, em São Paulo. Algumas exposições: Mira
Schendel, Farnese de Andrade, American Multiples, Richard Serra Prints, Artur Barrio, Jenny Holzer.
De 1996 a 1997 foi Gerente da Galeria Dominique Chanin Fine Arts, Nova Iorque, EUA, especializada
em obras sobre papel, obras monumentais e trabalhos em bronze de Miró, Bourdelle, Rodin, etc.
E entre 1993 – 1996 Proprietária da empresa de consultoria em artes plásticas Hans Staden inc., em
Nova Iorque, EUA.
Desde 2000 tem vindo a trabalhar como consultora e pesquisadora na área de cultura e artes
plásticas.
Ao longo so seu percurso,Patrícia Telles foi galardoada com importantes prémios e bolsas, como: o
Prémio Dahesh Museum pela sua apresentação no 8o Simpósio da Association of Historians of
Nineteenth Century Art, Nova Iorque, Estados Unidos (2011), a Bolsa da Fundação de Ciência e
Tecnologia (FCT), para a conclusão de seu doutoramento em Portugal (2011) e a Bolsa da
Organização dos Estados Americanos (OEA) para conclusão do Mestrado em Arts Administration, na
Columbia University, NY, EUA.
Is a collector, gallerist and curator who lives and works between Lisbon and Evora (Portugal)
Currently studying her Phd in Art History at Évora University. She has since received her
Master of Arts in (MA) Arts Administration, Columbia University, New York, USA, 1993-1997, also
studying within specialization in Art History and Architecture in Brazil, Pontifícia Universidade Católica
do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1988- 1992, specialization in the Fine and Decorative Arts, Christie’s
Education in collaboration with the Royal Society of Arts, London, UK, 1989-1990.
For several years Telles was the owner of the bookshop and art gallery Beco das Virtudes, in Rio de
Janeiro which specialized in art books and Brazilian contemporary art. Prior to this she was acting as
an art consultant and researcher in fine arts since 2000. However in 2004 was the Project Manager and
Head of the Visual Arts Department of Instituto Cultural Banco Santos (ICBS), in São Paulo, Brazil.
From 1998 – 2000 was partner and director of Nova Galeria art gallery in São Paulo. Exhibitions
included: Mira Schendel, Farnese de Andrade, American Multiples, Richard Serra Prints, Artur Barrio,
Jenny Holzer.
Telles was the Manager of Dominique Chanin Fine Arts, New York, USA, specialized in works on paper
and monumental sculptures by Miró, Bourdelle, Rodin from 1996 and owner of Hans Staden inc.
consulting services, in New York, USA between 1993 – 1996, previously to this she had worked a an
art consultant.
In addition to this received the Dahesh Museum Prize for best presentation at the 8th Graduate
Symposium of the Association of Historians of Nineteenth Century Art (AHNA), New York, USA and
received a scholarship from Fundação de Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), for the duration of her Phd in
Portugal, respectively the prize and scholarship was received in 2011. In 1997 received a scholarship
from the Organization of American States (OAS) for the conclusion of her MA in Arts Administration at
Columbia University, NY, USA.

Eduardo Hurtado (Valladolid, 1986)
Artista, curador e investigador. Vive e trabalha em Bilbao (Espanha).
Licenciado em Belas Artes pela Universidade do País Basco, frequenta actualmente o Inter-Universrity
Programme in Contemporary History. Encara a sua prática artística desde uma posição militante
enquanto facilitador nos campos de produção, gestão, crítica e curadoria.
Enquanto artista, participou recentemente em exposições colectivas na Windor Gallery, Sala Amárika e
Bilbaoarte, Bilbao, e expôs individualmente no Centro Cultural Montehermoso – integrado no Programa
NEXT- e na ARTEKO Gallery com a exposição "Into the last celebration of bravery". Recebeu a bolsa
SantandEuropa para participar no workshop Juan López e AccionMAD (Internacional Performance
Festival) em 2010.
Membro activo da associação Espacio Abisal, para a qual coordenou “Tentacles(s)” - simpósio sobre a
estrutura do campo artístico - e várias exposições, incluindo “Maneras verticales” de Usoa Fullaondo,
“Torres, muros y trincheras” de Miriam Isasi ou “ARCHIVE/LECTURE/WORKSHOP” de Pepe Miralles.
Entre 2008 e 2009 foi coordenador do projecto de pesquisa historiográfica Wiki Historians.org (com
Aloña Intxaurrandieta), patrocinado pela ARTELEKU e pela bolsa de investigação do Centro Cultural
Montehermoso.
Como curador, co-organizou “SUPER-POP (nexo, cacharro, recuerdo)” com Haizea Barcenilla, um
projecto de análise geracional que consistiu numa residência artístca, exposição e publicação;
“Breve”, um programa expositivo de seis projectos específicos com um dia de duração; e mais
recentemente “Dark and Wild”, um projecto sobre o conceito de limite, violência e contrato, integrado
em Inéditos Caja Madrid, o mais conceituado prémio espanhol para jovens curadores; e ainda “All we
did was enough” integrado em "A tres bandas", um projecto entre galerias, artistas e curadores em
Madrid.
Actualmente trabalha na produção de “Correspondencia desde Eyjafjallajökull” (seleccionado pela
MANIFESTA 8 e pela bolsa de produção INICIARTE) e é membro de CAMBIAELORDEN.
Encontra-se ainda a estudar, no âmbito do Grupo de Investigação em História Contemporânea da
UPV/EHU, a relação entre o desporto e o sujeito masculino em conexão com os rituais colectivos da
sociedade de massas.
Is an artist, curator and researcher who lives and works from Bilbao (Spain).
Degree in Fine Arts from the Basque Country University is currently studying the Inter-Universrity
Programme in Contemporary History. He approaches artistic praxis from the militant position of an
facilitator in the fields of production, management, criticism and curatorship.
As an artist he has recently participated in group exhibitions at Windsor Gallery in Bilbao, Sala Amárika
and Bilbaoarte, and his work was featured in a solo show at Montehermoso -as part of NEXT- and

ARTEKO Gallery with the solo show "into the last celebration of bravery". He has received the
SantandEuropa grant to participate in the Juan López workshop and AccionMAD (Internacional
Performance Festival) during 2010.
He is an active member of the Espacio Abisal association, for which he coordinated the “tentacles(s)”
symposium on the structure of the art world" and various exhibition projects, including Maneras
verticales by Usoa Fullaondo, Torres, muros y trincheras by Miriam Isasi or
ARCHIVE/LECTURE/WORKSHOP by Pepe Miralles. Between 2008 and 2009 he was cordinator of
the historiographical research project Wiki Historias.org (with Aloña Intxaurrandieta), sponsored by
ARTELEKU and the Centro Cultural Montehermoso investigation grant.
As a curator, he co-organised “SUPER-POP (nexo, cacharro, recuerdo)” with Haizea Barcenilla, a
project that explored generational issues and involved a collective artists’ residency, an exhibition and a
publication; “Breve”, an exhibition programme consisting of six one-day projects; and recently “Dark
and Wild”, a project into the concept of limit, violence and social contract inside Inéditos Caja Madrid,
the best award to young curators in Spain; and “All we did was enough” into "A tres bandas", a project
between galeries, artists and curators in Madrid.
At this moment is working on the production of “Correspondencia desde Eyjafjallajökull” (selected in
MANIFESTA 8 and INICIARTE production grant) and is member of CAMBIAELORDEN.
Now he is studying, inside the Research Group of Contemporary History at the UPV/EHU, the relation
between sport and male subject in conection with the mass society collective rituals.
