“Echoes of South Africa”, a SW MN Synod ELCA
Lakeland Conference Festival will be held Sunday,
March 6 at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer at 2:00
pm. Calvary’s “Joy” Quartet which includes Mary Jo de
Cathelineau, Connie Dickerson, Lois Fostervold and
Connie Larson will be singing at this festival.
All are welcome to attend.

“Apostles Creed”.

- 6:15-6:45 pm. Second grade children and
parents meet in the Koinonia room (2nd floor,
education wing) to paint their Chalice and Paten.

- 9:05-10:05 am. Family Sunday school! ALL
Sunday school children ages 3 yrs. – Gr. 6 attend
with their family to learn together about “Holy
Week”.
- 10:15 am. ALL Sunday school children ages
3 yrs. – Gr. 4 sing during worship.

- 6:15-7:30 pm. Second grade children and
parents meet in Bethany Hall for First
Communion Bread baking and Orientation.
Thursday, March 24
- 5:15 and 7:00 pm. Maundy Thursday worship
services. Second graders receive their First
Communion!

- Easter Sunday! Worship services at 6:30 am,
8:00 am, 9:30 am and
11:00 am. NO Sunday school!
2016 Summer Bible Camp
Join us for a week at camp! Green Lake Bible
Camp summer schedules are now available and can
be picked up in the Welcome Center. Calvary’s
Camp Week (at GLLM) this year will be
June 26th – July 1st! Come join Janel and other
Calvary kids for this exciting week of camp!

Bible Camp Scholarships for 2016
Calvary will help pay for the cost of camp ($100 for a
half week and $200 for a full week) for any Calvary
youth who attends a Lutheran Bible Camp. Additional
scholarships are also available. Questions? Talk to
Ashley, Janel or Pastor Naomi.
“Kids’ Corner” is a place where you can find kidfriendly items to use during worship. It is located in
the narthex next to the coat room. It is stocked with
prayer
cards, activity bags, offering envelopes and Spark
Story Bibles to use during worship!
Nursery Guidelines
 The nursery is for children 3 and under.
 The nursery is available Sunday mornings
between 8:00-11:15 am.
 The nursery is a safe place for you to take your
child should they need to leave worship.
 Please keep our nursery tidy and clean by
putting things back in their place before
you leave!
 The nursery is NOT Staffed! A Parent must
accompany their child when they are in the
nursery! PLEASE do not leave your child
unattended.
Let’s keep the nursery a safe, fun place for our
youngest members and visitors!
High School Youth
 2 youth & 2 adults were in Mankato on March 45th for our Synod Youth Gathering. The theme
was “You are the Light of the World” based on
Matthew 5:14.
 3 youth & 1 adult will be at Gustavus Adolphus
College on March 10th for a “STEP UP” Leadership
Day.
Lenten Meals
Join us for a light soup supper on Wed. during Lent at
5:45 pm in Bethany Hall, sponsored by Calvary’s
Confirmation Youth. A Free Will Offering goes to
cover the cost of the meal, with any additional income
supporting Youth events & trips.
Donation Request
We are looking for donations for a youth service
project: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant,
soap, small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, small
bottles of lotion, body wash. No perfume, no hand
sanitizer, and no body spray (nothing with alcohol
content). Please drop off donations to the church
office by Wednesday, March 9.

Join us for an evening of dinner & a movie…on the
go! We will be traveling to three different churches
to enjoy a three course meal, the movie “Inside Out”
as well as have activities and services projects along
the way!

Remember the Food Shelf Weekend on March 12th
and 13th! Please bring your food items and/or
financial contributions for our processional offering on
Sunday at both services. Our grocery cart will be
located in the narthex for those of you that want to
place your food there. We will use the cart to process
down the aisle. Saturday we will have the box outside
the chapel and the food can be placed on the shelf
designated for the Food Shelf. Thanks for all you do
to help others!
