Alexis Duval is indicated CEO of Tereos Internacional
TEREOS INTERNACIONAL S.A. (BOVESPA: “TERI3”) (“Company”) informs to the
shareholders and to the market in general that the Board of Directors of Tereos Internacional has
indicated Alexis Duval as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding André Trucy.
The Board thanked André Trucy, former indicated Chief Executive Officer, for successfully
contributing to the launch of Tereos Internacional and its listing on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange
in August 2010.
Alexis Duval has been with the Tereos Group since 2002 and spent five years in Brazil from
2002 to 2007, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Guarani, Tereos Internacional’s Brazilian
sugarcane branch. During this period of strong development of the Company, Alexis Duval notably
led Guarani’s successful IPO on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange in July 2007. More recently, Alexis
Duval managed the 2010 strategic partnership between Tereos Internacional and Petrobras
Biocombustivel and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Guarani.
The Company’s Board of Directors noted “As CEO, we are confident that Alexis Duval will
successfully implement Tereos Internacional’s development strategy in its key markets (sugar,
ethanol and starch) in Brazil, Europe and the Indian Ocean.”
Biography
Alexis Duval holds a diploma from Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC). He started his career
at Sucres et Denrées (Sucden) in the United-States. He then joined Tereos in 2002 as a
representative of Tereos in Franco Brasileira S.A. Açúcar e Álcool , a JV between Tereos and Cosan.
In 2003, he joined the senior management team of Guarani and served as CEO of Guarani until July

2007. During his tenure as CEO, he managed the acquisitions of São José (2006), Tanabi (2007),
Andrade (2007), Sena (2007) units and the strong expansion of the production that led to Guarani’s
IPO on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange in July 2007, which contributed to making Guarani one of
Brazil’s top players in the production of sugar, ethanol and energy within a short time. In
September 2007, he was appointed International and Finance Director of the Tereos Group, and
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Guarani. After the creation of Tereos Internacional, Alexis
Duval managed the 2010 strategic partnership between Tereos Internacional and Petrobras
Biocombustivel and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Guarani.
