CULTURE AT USP
PORTUGUESE FOR FOREIGNERS
University of São Paulo offers various cultural
options for its students and also for the community. It
maintains several museums and most of them are free
of charge. The University City (Cidade Universitária)
houses the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC –
Museu de Arte Contemporânea) and the Museum of
Archaeology and Ethnology (MAE – Museu de
Arqueologia e Etnologia). Inside the campus you will
also find Cinusp “Paulo Emílio” with free movie
sessions from Mondays to Fridays, often followed by
debates and seminars with professors and directors.
The Language Center of the Faculty of Philosophy,
Language and Literature, and Human Sciences –
FFLCH offers, each semester, a course of Portuguese
as Foreign Language at São Paulo Campus.
SPORTS AT USP
There is a Center for Sports Activities at USP:
CEPEUSP. At CEPEUSP the students can practice
several kinds of sports and physical activities. The
Center for Sports Activities offers 5 soccer fields; 9
tennis square; 10 fields for different kinds of sports;
