O Solar do Guadiana é um novo restaurante que
“proporciona uma viagem de sabores que apela aos
cinco sentidos”. O espaço está bem decorado, e a
ementa é apelativa.
As entradas são excelentes e variadas. Já os pratos do
“vocabulário” tradicional chegam à mesa com requinte:
receitas de bacalhau, peixe fresco da lota “trabalhado”
com imaginação, o que se verifica igualmente nas
carnes. O marisco apresenta qualidade superior.
O Solar tem um restaurante “glamour”uma sala
tradicional e uma tasca óptima para os petiscos. É um
novo espaço, com uma nova forma de estar na
restauração.
The Solar do Guadiana is a new restaurant and “offers
diners a flavour-filled journey appealing to all five
senses”. Pleasantly decorated and with an entire menu
to match!
The Solar offers excellent and varied starters and the
dishes from traditional “vocabulary” are served with
elegance: a selection of salt cod dishes, fresh fish
straight from the auction with imaginative recipes. For
those who prefer meat is plenty flavoured choices and
there's no shortage of seafood. The Solar has a
“glamour” restaurant, a traditional restaurant and a
tavern, perfect for the tidbits. This is a venue, a new
way of being in restaurant dining.
CANDEIA ISLÂMICA
ISLAMIC LAMP
Candeia de pé do período islâmico identificada em
Cacela Velha, no sítio do Poço Antigo, durante a
campanha de escavações arqueológicas de 1998.
Decorada com o tradicional vidrado verde, muito
característico das peças deste período, as candeias
serviam para iluminar as casas com recurso ao azeite
(colocado na parte superior da peça).
Utilizada na primeira metade do século XIII, a peça foi
recentemente restaurada com vista a integrar a
exposição “Cerâmicas islâmicas de Cacela Velha”.
Poderá ser vista, em conjunto com outras provenientes
do mesmo sítio arqueológico, a partir de Maio no
Centro de Investigação e Informação do Património de
Cacela, na Antiga Escola Primária de Santa Rita.
Standard lamp from the Islamic period found in Poço
Antigo, Cacela Velha, during the 1998 archaeological
dig.
Decorated in traditional green glaze, very characteristic
of pieces from this period, the standard lamps lit
homes by burning olive oil placed in the upper section.
Used during the first half of the 13th century, the piece
was recently restored in order to be included in the
“Islamic Pottery of Cacela Velha” Exhibition.
It can be viewed, together with other finds from the
same dig, from May onwards at the Cacela Heritage
Research and Information Centre in the former Santa
Rita Primary School.
