DIGITAL SCORE 2014-2015 Segunda, 12 de outubro de 2015 DAY 1 GOIÂNIA Saturday, October 10th, 2015 RX INDIVIDUAL EVENTS BY SÉRGIO ALCÂNTARA AND CJ MARTIN. EVENT 1 “GUT CHECK” Three rounds for time of: 80 Double-Unders 40 Wall Ball Shots (20lb/16lb) 20 Pull-Ups Time cap: 12 minutes NOTES MOVEMENT STANDARDS This event begins with the athlete on a starting mat toward the perimeter of the arena. At 3,2,1,Go! the athlete will move forward to their designated double-unders mat – which will be placed closest to the rig in the center of the arena. After completing the prescribed number of double-unders, the athlete will move to the rig to perform the prescribed number of wall ball shots, and subsequently the prescribed number of pull-ups. The athlete will then return to their jump rope for the second set of double-unders. Athletes will perform this same sequence again. Upon completing the final pull-up repetition the athlete will advance to the start/ finish mat – which will be at the perimeter of the arena. Double-Unders This is the standard double-under in which the rope passes under the feet twice for each jump. The rope can spin forward or backward for the rep to count. Wall Ball Shots The medicine ball must be taken from the bottom of a squat, hip crease below the knee, and thrown to hit the specified target. The ball must make contact with the front-face of the target. If the ball hits the bottom or top edge of the target or does not hit the target at all, it is a no rep. The rep is counted when the ball makes contact with the target. If the ball is dropped, it must come to a full stop on the ground before the athlete may pick it up for the next rep. Pull-ups In the bottom position the athlete’s elbows must be fully extended. At the top, the chin must break the horizontal plane of the bar. Any style of pull-up (strict, kipping, butterfly) is allowed so long as these requirements are met on every repetition. DIGITAL SCORE 2014-2015 DAY 1 GOIÂNIA Saturday, October 11th, 2015 EVENT 2 “JACK KETCH” For time: 4/3 Rope Climbs 12 Thrusters (135lb/95lb) 3/2 Rope Climbs 9 Thrusters 2/1 Rope Climbs 6 Thrusters Time cap: 10 minutes NOTES MOVEMENT STANDARDS This event begins with the athlete on a starting mat toward the perimeter of the arena. At 3,2,1,Go! the athlete will move forward to the rope climb station. Upon completing the prescribed number of rope climbs, the athlete will advance toward the center of the arena to perform the Thrusters (with the barbell pre-set with 135lb/95lb) on the mat designated for those 12 thrusters. Upon completing the 12th thruster, the athlete will return to the rope and complete the prescribed repetitions. The athlete will then advance the barbell to the mat designated for the 9 thrusters and perform the thrusters there. The athlete will do the same, advancing the barbell to the mat designated for 6 thrusters after they’ve completed their final set of legless rope climbs. Once the last thruster rep is completed, the athlete will drop the barbell to the ground in front of them, and advance to the finish mat – which will be just in front of the pull-up rig in the center of the arena. Rope Climb In the rope climb, the athlete ascends the rope to touch the beam at the top, and must remain in control on the descent. Jumping up to begin each ascent is permitted. Thursters This is a standard barbell thruster in which the barbell moves from the bottom of a squat with the barbell in the front rack position to full lockout overhead. The hip crease must pass below the knees. A squat clean into the thruster is allowed if the bar is on the ground. At the top, the barbell must be over the center of the body with the hips, knees and arms fully extended. DIGITAL SCORE 2014-2015 DAY 2 GOIÂNIA Sunday, October 11th, 2015 EVENT 3 “THREE FOR THE WIN” Athletes will have three attempts to establish a 3-RM Front Squat – taking the barbell from the floor: Athletes will have 90 seconds to perform their 3-RM, followed by 90 seconds of rest before the start of the next lifting window. Athletes may choose whatever weight they would like, and may even switch weights so long as all three consecutive front squats are performed within the 90 second window. Time cap: 9 minutes NOTES MOVEMENT STANDARDS The arena will be split into two groups, one of which will lift at 3,2,1,GO!, 0:00, 3:00 and 6:00 on the running clock. The second group will lift at 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30 on the running clock. All athletes will have 2 minutes from the time they are let onto the arena floor to load their barbells with their desired starting weight. When the athlete’s group is called to lift, the athlete will step onto the platform, clean the barbell and perform three front squats. If the athlete’s hips pass below parallel during the clean, that repetition counts as the first of the three front squats and they will need to perform two additional front squats. If the athlete chooses to power clean the barbell, they must then perform three consecutive front squats. At the end of the 90-second window, athletes must stop lifting, but may change the weight on their barbell during their 90-second rest period. Front Squat The barbell must be racked on the front of the shoulders. At the top, the hips and knees must be fully extended. Any grip is permitted as long as the bar is in the front-rack position. At the bottom the hip crease must be below the top of the knee. A full squat clean is permitted, but not required, to start the movement if standard depth is achieved. If standard depth is achieved with the initial clean, the athlete will be credited with a successful repetition. Scoring for the event will be based on the highest successful 3-RM, plus any additional repetitions completed at the next weight. For example, a male athlete who is successful at 285 lbs, but only completes two repetitions at 305 lbs, will earn a score of 285.2, and will be ranked ahead of an athlete who successfully completes three repetitions at 285, but fails the clean at 305 lbs – consequently earning a score of 285.3. DIGITAL SCORE 2014-2015 DAY 2 GOIÂNIA Sunday, October 10th, 2015 EVENT 4 “2012 REMIX” For time: Row 2000 Meters 40 Alternating Pistols 20 Hang Snatches (135lb/75lb) Time cap: 15 minutes NOTES Hang Snatch This event begins with the athlete seated on the Concept 2 erg in the center of the arena. The barbell may not stop its upward descent to overhead at any point or touch the body higher than the sternum (i.e., touching the barbell to the shoulders or head and pressing will be deemed a no-rep). Athletes may perform either a full or power snatch so long as the barbell comes to full lockout overhead with the hips, knees and arms fully extended and the barbell directly over the middle of the body. Alternating Pistols Alternating pistols begin and end with the athlete standing and the hip and knee fully extended. The hip crease must be below the top of the knee at the bottom of the movement, and the opposite foot (non-supporting leg) cannot touch the ground until the repetition is completed.
