O Festival NEU/NOW apresenta o novo e mais excitante talento criativo
emergente por toda a Europa e mais além.
O NEU/NOW LIVE 2012 será recebido pela bela cidade do Porto, eleita
“Melhor Destino Europeu 2012” por um júri de associações europeias de
consumidores.
O NEU/NOW também é um festival online, apresentando 56 artistas de 21
países no sítio www.neunow.com, onde estão largamente acessíveis quer
para os profissionais das artes, quer para o público em geral. O Festival
NEU/NOW Live no Porto apresenta 32 destes projetos, representando 18
países.
As obras e as performances minimizam a barreira linguística e podem ser
entendidas universalmente.
O NEU/NOW LIVE Porto é realizado no âmbito do NE©XT – New European
Creative Talent, apoiado pela DG Education and Culture e pela Comissão
Europeia, e coordenado pela University of Winchester (Reino Unido) em
parceria com o ESMAE, Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo
(Porto), a Bergen National Academy of the Arts (Noruega), a Estonian
Academy of Music and Theatre (Estónia), e a European League of Institutes
of the Arts (ELIA).
A European League of Institutes of the Arts (Liga Europeia dos Institutos
das Artes) ou ELIA, fundada em 1990, é uma organização de associação
independente que representa aproximadamente 300 instituições
superiores dedicadas ao ensino das artes em 47 países, e mais de 300,000
estudantes. A ELIA representa todas as disciplinas nas artes, incluindo
arquitetura, dança, design, as belas-artes, media arte, música e teatro.
The NEU/NOW LIVE Festival presents exciting and creative artistic
talent emerging from across Europe and beyond.
NEU/NOW LIVE 2012 is hosted by the beautiful city of Porto,
selected ‘Best European Destination 2012’ by a jury of European
consumer associations.
NEU/NOW is also an online festival, presenting 56 artists from 21
countries on the website www.neunow.com where they are widely
accessible to arts professionals and the public alike. The LIVE
Festival in Porto features 32 of these projects, representing 18
countries.
The artworks and performances minimise the language barrier,
and can be universally understood.
NEU/NOW LIVE Porto is realised in the frame of the NE©XT –
New European Creative Talent project, which is supported by DG
Education and Culture and the European Commission, and which
is co-ordinated by the University of Winchester (UK) in partnership
with ESMAE, Porto Politécnico, School of Music and Performing
Arts (Porto), Bergen National Academy of the Arts (Norway),
the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Estonia), and the
European League of Institutes of the Arts (ELIA).
