NOTICE TO THE MARKET
The Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of JSL, Fernando
Antonio Simões, announces with profound grief that his father, friend and the founder of JSL,
Mr. Julio Simões, passed away early this morning. He was 84. Mr. Julio Simões founded, in
1956, the carrier Julio Simões, as the company was originally called, establishing the values
that are practiced till today, such as hard work, focus on client, simplicity and appreciation of
people. He actively served the company until the mid-2000s.
The last rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 8, at the Parque das Oliveiras Cemetery in
Mogi das Cruzes, where the burial will be held at 3:00 p.m.
