On October 1, it was discovered that I had a cancerous tumor on my upper left femur necessitating the removal of 75% of the femur and complete hip replacement. During surgery there was blood loss requiring blood transfusions. Hours later my vital signs sank, particularly the blood pressure. As a result the planned physical therapy was delayed. Presently my vitals are normal and physical therapy has begun. It is difficult, painful, and taxing. Knowing how generous you have been to me, I would ask you in place of visits, flowers, etc., that every day you say an "Our Father" for me, with particular emphasis on "Thy will be Done". This will give me great comfort. I have no idea when I will return to active ministry but I will keep you informed through the whole process. Thanks so much for your being a part of the St. Anthony's Parish family. I miss you and look forward to being with you at the table of the Lord. And may the Lord be with you, Father Frank Religious Education at Saint Anthony’s Parish will resume Sunday, November 8.
