From shell thickness and finishes to the overall drum kit configuration, everything is made by
our skillful artisans and inspected by our master craftsman, Mr. Daniel Giardina, for the highest
quality control.
Exclusive Custom drums are produced with selected sheets of Brazilian exotic wood. The Bapeva
wood, known as Brazilian maple, has been traditionally used by RMV to produce fine instruments.
The Purple Heart wood is used to produce exquisite and unique drum kits that look and sound
great! And, for traditional tastes, imported maple wood can be blended with Brazilian wood
creating unique and harmonious sounds. As a final refining touch, an outer layer of Copaíba
wood can be added to create a matchless visual effect. If a see-through lacquer finish is ordered,
colored or not, the natural wood grains will show through for an astonishing look.
Every single piece of wood used on an RMV Exclusive Custom drum is hand-picked to ensure that
the shell will be fully resonant and flawless.
Since RMV is one of the few companies around the world that produces its own ply wood for
musical instrument manufacturing, there is total control over the entire process during the
production of the drum shells. This is the genesis of exclusivity.

CONCEPT VRX Series
Concept VRX series. Crafted with BAPEVA Brazilian wood, delivering great attack, powerful low end and a wide
range of tones to all music styles. Tom toms and Floor toms have a shell thickness of 4.6 mm (4 ply).
The Snare Drum and Bass Drum have a shell thickness of 6.9 mm (6 ply).
All drums are available in five high-gloss sparkle finishes.
All set ups are fitted with our professional HARDTECH hardware and RMV drumheads.

The SINGLE CLEAR is a single-ply drumhead, extremely sensitive to slight
tuning variations.These heads allow the natural sound of the drum to show
through while accurately reproducing low frequencies according to the
acoustic environment. The attack of the drumsticks is clear and well-defined
with excellent projection. As with bottom heads on tom-toms and floor
toms, these heads guarantee ample resonance with characteristic accents in
the low frequencies, giving a full and defined sound.
The SINGLE COATED drumhead is the traditional standard drumhead. It works
in all frequencies, with vivid harmonics, producing a full and deep sound. This
drumhead maximizes the natural properties of the drum with incomparable
volume and attack. Producers and studio drummers prefer the coated drumhead
for its clear execution and dynamic sensitivity. The use on snares of all types is
almost mandatory since its attack produces a heavy “back beat” in the center of
the head and in rim shots. For those who play with brushes, the coated head
produces a crisp, full sound.
The DUO COATED drumhead is a double-layered coated drumhead giving
you the volume and attack characteristic of the coated heads, with the
durability and the full & heavy sound of a double head. DUO COATED
drumheads provides an organic sound with any type of tuning. In studios
with large rooms, these drumheads produce a deep and smooth sound
generating excellent results when used with triggers since its vibration is
extremely controlled.
DUO CLEAR drumheads have a double layer with layers of different
thicknesses. This construction allows for a very convincing sound by
maintaining a perfect relation between weight, attack, resonance and
durability. The balanced layers guarantee incomparable volume with a
smooth harmonic – yet vivid sound. These drumheads perform well in
both high and low volume situations while responding well to dynamics.
DUO CLEAR drumheads can be classified as “general use” since they
perform well in live concerts, in studios, and with any musical style.
FX-SINGLE Batter drumheads for bass drums are specially made using
an internal dampening ring. The single-ply construction guarantees an
extremely defined sound with a “kick” when dynamics are used by
the drummer. When you play with your FX-SINGLE drumhead you get
a clear sample of the sound of the drum. The first impact stands out
clearly followed by the high and medium frequencies. Low frequencies
then appear thanks to the movement of the simple drumhead and the
control of the dampening ring. These drumheads work well with any
size drum and with all musical styles.
FX-DOUBLE Batter drumheads for bass drums were developed with
the use of two layers and the internal dampening ring. These batterside drumheads are recommended for use on bigger bass drums due
to the total control of harmonics and the predominance of the low
frequencies. Extremely durable and an excellent option for heavy
players. The FX-DOUBLE functions very well with triggers since the
internal dampening ring assures the vibration is extremely controlled,
precluding false triggers.

FX-BLACK Resonant drumheads for bass drums are constructed with an
internal dampening ring. They are an excellent option for any size bass
drum and, matched with either the FX-SINGLE or FX DOUBLE Batter, there
is no need for the use of pillows and/or suppressors. This model has an
improved sound profile giving you more vibration and a clear response to
the beater on the drumhead. These drumheads are an excellent option
for heavy play with constant backbeats. The special construction totally
controls the harmonics leaving the dry and cracking sound to be released
at the moment of the attack.
SNARE SIDE drumheads are always faced with the difficulty of having a
film that is sufficiently thin to obtain greater and better cluster resonance
with the durability required by the constant attack of the drumsticks
on the drumhead. The importance of the snare side drumhead cannot
be forgotten since it affects the overall sound of the snare. RMV has
developed a new film for this specific model that is thick enough to be
durable yet thin enough to preserve sensitivity on the cluster.
DEEP SATURN drumheads are constructed with two layers of equal
thicknesses with a 1” black glued border that runs through the internal
dampening ring. This is the heaviest RMV drumhead and has a deep
and full sound in the lower frequencies. The vibration is controlled by
the extra weight added to the edge by the glue. This is the perfect
drumhead for safe and strong performances with few dynamic variations.
DEEP SATURN works well on large toms and bass drums thanks to its
controlled sustain and defined attack. This series is also an excellent
option for drummers playing in large areas with poor acoustics due to its
total control of harmonics.
DEEP PERFORMER drumheads are made of two layers of equal
thicknesses with 1” glued border. They provide a controlled, low and
deep sound. These heads tune quickly and efficiently. They can be
used on 14”, 15”, 16” and 18” floor toms and be combined with other
models in the suspended tom-toms due to the consistency of the low
frequencies. These are the preferred drumheads for drummers that play
a heavy sound with constant dynamics.

STILL HEADS are drumheads made with high-density
polyester that do not produce any type of sound. Its “zero”
volume is an excellent solution for play or practice in
homes, apartments, non sound-proofed areas. The realistic
feel and response of these heads lets the drummer get
the right response/rebound without any sound! These
heads also work great with triggers since the vibration is
extremely controlled.
VINTAGE drumheads, an exclusive RMV design, have the look, sound
and feel of calfskin drumheads. This single layer head compliments
the natural sound of the drum in both the high and low frequencies.
When properly tuned, the harmonics flow in even and velvet tones.
This drumhead is designed for drummers with good stick control and is
a great choice for jazz, fusion, and pop.
