Wood Group opens new office in Rio de Janeiro
HOUSTON, December 15, 2009 — Wood Group, the international energy
services company, has opened a new office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This new
office will provide a broad range of Wood Group’s services and products,
including operations & maintenance, commissioning, and other technical
services, to the Brazilian market.
“Most of oil & gas companies operating in Brazil have offices in Rio de Janeiro,”
explained Alexandre Quadrado, Wood Group’s country manager for Brazil. “This
new office will allow us to be closer to them, providing a quicker response than
from our operational base in Macae.”
The office is located in Barra de Tijuca, a growing area of Rio de Janeiro where
many oil and gas operating companies and service companies are located. The
